  1. While those geared pop-out side armaments are a cool feature, Jestro's flyer and the drone rover are awfully shoddy looking. Also, ironically, the inclusion of that drone rover might as well make this a Space set.
  2. Until the official announcement, what would he have to build off of other than this unconfirmed image? Perhaps you are confirming that the image we've been discussing this whole time is real?
  3. That printed Speed Champions canopy on the Ski Speeder in 75202 looks kind of cool, but I do hope it is indeed printed. While they usually are in Speed Champions sets, the canopy does have a flat enough surface that Lego could just sticker it instead of print on it. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
  4. I'm seeing a lot more Dark Azure in these sets than I am Medium Azure, and I'm certainly digging it! Particularly, Mia's Tree House looks like it comes with those newer "macaroni" tiles in that color, the larger radius ones that is. By the way, does anyone think that Olivia's Mission Vehicle looks like the Ecto-1?
  5. For this tie breaker, I chose in order of first to last... The S8 Diver, the S7 Hippie, the S6 Intergalactic Girl (), the S8 Vampire Bat, and the S11 Barbarian.
  6. The two best things about that set are the M-Tron girl and the main build's heavy usage of Sand Blue parts, and I'm especially digging those newly recolored bow slopes on the upper front and back of the mech!
  7. By "Friends Blue", you're probably referring to Medium Azur, right? Yeah, even though that has been the shade of blue used most frequently by the theme since its beginning, I'm currently looking at the newly released official images of the theme's sets for 2018, and surprisingly, it seems like they've nearly swapped that color for Dark Azur instead. That's just fine with me, since I definitely prefer that latter color over Medium Azur anyway; and yes, a Space theme incorporating Dark Azure into its sets would be incredible!
  8. Much like the Elves theme, these sets seem to be incorporating more deeper, richer colors amongst their typical palette of pastel colors, and I'm kind of liking it. Particularly, Cinderella's castle looks great with its inclusion of Earth Blue, just like it did when I saw it in the preliminaries. Even though the part has a shingled texture, it will be interesting to see what people do with that new Earth Blue tower turret cone part.
  9. Well, that's pretty intriguing. So even if you may not consider Nexo Knights to be a Castle theme, the fact that the last four Castle themes each launched three years apart from each other does make Nexo Knights a Castle theme, since it does seem to fall into that same pattern. Interesting observation.
  10. Sure, but does TLG consider color scheme enough of a distinction? Unfortunately, I think that they somewhat figure that the mere setting of both themes makes them contenders for customers' choice, where either a in-house space theme would take a chunk out of Star Wars' purchasing base, or that their in-house space theme would just be ignored by customers in favor of Star Wars.
  11. Sure, especially since the chances of a real Space theme are slim to none while Disney keeps on barraging us with endless Star Wars movies. I don't know how similar a Space theme has to be to Star Wars if TLG would consider it to be a cannibalistic contender, but for the mean time, I think non-space themes that border on resembling them will just have to suffice for now.
  12. At the price and scale of Expert modulars? I don't think so, but perhaps Lego should start designing the theme's usual storefront playsets as such, in a connectible, modular fashion.
  13. Perhaps you should link the topic in your signature to compensate, since the Community subforum does not get as much traffic as others.
  14. Hmm, I guess they must of. It was there last night when I visited, I wonder why they chose to remove it completly? The link as a placeholder minus the images should be there, but it's not. Edit: Well, nonetheless, images of that set have been posted on this article at The Brick Fan. The Brick Fan - More LEGO Creator 2018 Set Images
  15. For me, 1930's American streamlined steam locomotives are definitely my thing, and this one in particular is kind of a favorite of mine. But, I also do have a thing for classical British steam locomotives, since I grew up watching and reading the original Thomas the Tank Engine stories. By the way, I also think this topic should have been posted in the Train subforum, even though it does not pertain to Lego particularly.
  16. I absolutely love Streamline Moderne architecture, just as long as it isn't too colorful or "Raygun Gothic" in style. I know that's sort of what this diner has going for it, but I still like it.
  17. Here are all the new images as posted by The Brothers Brick: The Brothers Brick - More LEGO City 2018 Sets Revealed [News] By the way, that speed record car is pretty cool!
  18. However you've might have seen these sets, was there anything else from other themes you also could've seen?
  19. Presumably, they're just generic male/female City type minifigures? Perhaps we could be expecting something special for second wave of Creator sets.
  20. Had any of the other four sets featured minifigures, or was the largest set the only one?
  21. This is the one 2017 Elves set that had utilized the part, but it only used one of them in Dark Azure, same color used in the Expert Beetle. Brickset - 41182 The Capture of Sophie Jones
  22. From what it sounds like, I don't know how these sets will be any different from what is offered in the Classic theme.
  23. You know what, perhaps Lego will end up announcing the results of both reviews concurrently, as so to piggyback the good news of the results for the First 2017 Review with the bad news of the hypothetical rejection of all six projects for the Second 2017 Review. Simply because, that Second review just doesn't look promising.
  24. If the project does (or already has) been approved, I hope that the design team will clean up the initial project model, as I find it to be too chunky and cumbersome looking. I'd presume they would have to do so to comply with the licensing requirements.
  25. Don't forget these two beauties by EB user @RoxYourBlox. Apple Square University and Tall Tower.
