  1. That's what I would've wanted to see instead of the Joker Manor we ended up getting, something similar to the D2C Ninjago City with a nice mix of citizens, heroes, and villains. Oh, and plenty of Art Deco architecture too.
  2. While obtaining the ears without prints is nice for repurposing, these three figures are just plain ugly without printing elsewhere other than the torsos.
  3. Here's a review of the set by The Brothers Brick: LEGO Introduces new rollercoaster system with LEGO Batman 70922 Joker Manor [Review]
  4. You know, if you don't like that "vampire eye" print on the center of the henchmen's torsos, you could pluck their arms off and reverse them to make the rear torso print the front one. With that green "power button" logo center chest instead, the torsos could work great for a Neo-Blacktron army! I will say, their armor pieces can work great for the same purpose too!
  5. I'm not so sure about its current relevancy, but I did learn recently that Sony Pictures Animation had an animated movie in the works awhile ago, but it was put on the back burner to make way for that Emoji Movie. The thing is, I don't think the license would do well as a line of sets; so, perhaps it could work better as a CMS instead.
  6. Dang, both the first and last groups were quite the hard choices! While the S7 Aztec Warrior is an amazing figure, I grown much more fond of the S16 Hiker recently, primarily because of his great dual molded legs. And while the S13 Evil Wizard is a near splitting likeness to Ming the Merciless, the S15 Queen is a much more superior quality figure.
  7. Is that Nexogon indeed Dark Azure instead of Bright Blue? After looking at your full review, I'm pretty certain it is, but I just want to be sure. By the way, could you post a picture of those 2×2 inverse slopes alone?
  8. I guess it does help eliminating the gold accenting given the model's scale; but personally, I liked the gold accenting on the original model even if it was not as accurate for its scale. Still, its such an epic creation to revisit.
  9. Has anyone here ever suggested a Popeye theme before?
  10. That's an awfully hard dilemma you present there. I guess while I'm not very fond of costumed CMFs, I absolutely loathe the Simpsons; so I guess I'd have to agree with you on that.
  11. Is the "Nexogon" shield on the front of the mech's chest Bright Blue or Dark Azure? Hopefully that armor piece, as well as many of the other minifigure components introduced in this theme, will find their way into other sets recolored after the theme inevitably wraps up.
  12. OK, I see it now. I didn't even look close enough to realize. Oh yes indeed. Huh, I didn't think of that. Whether its a new mold or a tweaked one, its interesting to see the return of the full length mermaid tail, since they've seemed to opt for normal leg length one for awhile now.
  13. I couldn't agree more with this. I mean, all these new hairpieces are great and quite versatile, but it seems we don't see as many recolors of already existing inventory as we do the introduction of all new molds each year. And, like you've said, more recent years have seen the introduction of hairpieces that seem too similar to other preexisting ones, primarily in the case of The Lego Ninjago Movie.
  14. For instance, 72004 Tech Wizard Showdown comes with the "Nexogon" shield in Bright Blue on the chest of Clay's mech! Edit: Wait a minute, is the "Nexogon" actually Dark Azure instead?
  15. Every wave in the Speed Champions line has been a spring release each year so far, so usually we don't start to hear of fleshed out details for spring releases until after the release of official images for early winter waves from other themes.
  16. Say, has anyone realized yet that Black Vulcan's dual molded legs could be adopted for Sinstro? Original comics Bats?
  17. Maybe the headgear piece was developed more in mind for City? Perhaps the design was finalized by Lego designers some time around the pre-production of the movie, and then made available in inventory for WB animators and designers. Many people are definitely going to adopt that hairpiece for a purist Spock from Star Trek. It seems like the piece even has a widow's peak, which is most appropriate for a classic Spock. Same here, especially since the S1 Vacation Batman's goggled cowl would have been perfect for the variant. But, I am surprised to see the cowl pop up again in this second series, even though it hasn't seemed to have been recolored. That too.
  18. Perhaps now you could kick off a "Greatest Robert8's Custom CMF" game, in celebration of his tenth series!
  19. Interestingly enough, this set looks like it will be the first time we will be getting part no. 45705 (pictured below) in plain old Trans. White.
  20. You know what, I bet the newspaper tile Zod is carrying is actually a Daily Planet newspaper!
  21. I too am pretty excited for Jor El's White Superman hairpiece! Now I'm pretty sure the Doctor Who hairpiece on Zod is in Black, just like Terence Stamp's take on the character in Superman II; but, I'm not so sure about the color of Apache Chief's hairpiece. I'm kind of thinking it's Black. Also, I think the hairpiece the Wonder Twins share is actually brand new, as it seemed like in the concept art book that it was the S3 Elf's hairpiece recolored in Black with flesh colored ears. I know that EB user @Rustinidiel would be interested to see that, since he was looking for a hairpiece appropriate for Star Trek's Spock.
  22. KILLER MOTH HAS THE RETRO RAY GUN IN GOLD!!! Well, other that that, the two figures I'm primarily interested in are Jor El and Zod, who look pretty great! Jor El, particularly, is a nice blend of both Marlon Brando and Russell Crowe's takes on the character; but I have to say, did Jor El have a beard in TLBM? I don't think he did.
  23. The first teaser for 2018's sequel to The Incredibles will be attached to Disney Pixar's Coco, premiering in theaters on Nov. 22. Screen Rant - The Incredibles 2 Teaser Trailer to Premiere with Coco It may give us our first idea of what to expect from the three tie-in Juniors sets for next year.
  24. Perhaps there will be another window of opportunity in the future for this, but I kind of wish we ended up getting a "Noir" variant of Spiderman last year before the Ultimate Spider Man TV show ended. Although we did get a few desirable Spiderman alternates in minifigure form before the show ended, that was the one I was particularly interested in.
  25. I would have liked a minifigure head with Star Lord's mask printed on for other reasons, but the stylized "eyes" on this one make it completely not reusable.
