  1. If Lego were interested in developing an in-house property that had those demographics in mind, perhaps they may draw from Sci-fi/Fantasy concepts prevalent in Magna/Anime? That's the only property/genre I can think of when it comes to non-western material, but even that has a bit of a significant following at least here in the United States. But hey, come to think of it, maybe Lego's targeted focus on Asian audiences may be our ticket for a new in-house Space theme that isn't Star Wars.
  2. My guess? Perhaps an in-house "big bang" theme inspired after Classic Pirates, given that next year will be the theme's thirtieth anniversary. I don't think that theme is necessarily filling Nexo Knights shoes, as only another in-house theme (a big one most likely) can do that. Nuf said, huh? Particularly, I'm hoping for plates with the footprint of many of these parts, and perhaps also a brick to fill in the gap of 22390, something with a 4×4 footprint like 22391, but with no slopes.
  3. Well 2007's Castle for instance was pretty close, at least as close as I wish to see an in-house theme get, as I don't think Lego's original themes should get too much akin to say Lord of the Rings/The Hobbit and Pirates of the Caribbean. But then again, there was that board game subtheme Heroica, so I suppose my point may be null.

  5. Hmm, interesting. I guess that's why that one Aquazone theme featured those Stingray villains; but if Aquazone was a Space subtheme, what was the point of Sea-Tron? To do an even spacier aqua theme?
  6. I haven't been paying much attention to this topic recently, so maybe I've missed something, but were figures confirmed for this set after all? P.S. Is "scaly" hinting at, say, Killer Croc?
  7. Um, are you saying that he wouldn't mind the price as much if the set had minifigures? Or, are you saying there ARE figures after all?
  8. Really? Was that explained in tie-in media or advertising? Does that therefore make Aquazone a subtheme of subthemes for Space?
  9. Yes, I do strongly think that the next underground mining action/adventure theme should go into space, and visa versa. Just make it more like a Space theme though, not just in name only. As long as it doesn't turn out like Time Cruisers/Time Twisters, I'd totally be up for a time travel centric theme, especially when you consider that many of those historical settings such a theme would touch upon couldn't be viable as a standalone theme to begin with. It'd definitely be an action theme that historical fans would very much be invested in. Same here, so I feel it's good when we see licensed themes like that to satisfy those who desire a much more darker aesthetic, as so to keep those in-house themes' heritage intact.
  10. Yes, absolutely one of my all time favorites! I've been keeping my eye on this one for a little while now, as I love both its detailing, and its color scheme of Earth Blue, Dark Tan, and Sand Green. I know how those at Ideas feel about modulars, being complementary with a preexisting line and all, but this one seems to stand on its own, so maybe it may have a chance if it were to reach the review stage! What the... That's nuts! Beautiful, but nuts! All four of those, including the bank you placed at number nine I highlighted earlier.

Now though it's not Lego for the most part, I do have a Pinterest board of anything and everything relating to Dieselpunk/Decopunk Retrofuturistic architecture and cityscapes, which is mostly a lot of fan and/or concept art. 12. Well, it did have three directors, six producers, six screenwriters, and seven story contributors; whereas TLBM and TLM both had only one director and fewer producers, screenwriters and story contributors.
  13. ^This^ I swear, Chima must have been a reboot of Fabuland gone way off course.
  14. I must add, the other thing this entry reminds me of is this playset done by Mega Construx's subtheme Probuilder, which is fairly recent. MegaConstrux | Probuilder - Space Rover Expedition Kinda makes me envious, as I only learned this subtheme of theirs just yesterday. With the only other set in that line being a Viking Longship, I thought "Damn, why don't you have sets like this in your Creator Expert lineup Lego?!"

By the way, by "Bronze" do you mean Copper Metallic?
  16. Though we're not exactly sure what will be the final contents of the Ideas Tron Legacy Lightcycle set, it can be presumed (based upon leaks we've seen so far) that only Sam Flynn, Quora, and Rinzler will be the only three characters to appear as minifigures in the set. With that in mind, here's an idea for another set based upon the movie that would give us both Kevin Flynn and Clu as minifigures too: Tron Legacy | The Light-Jet Chase - Priced at roughly US $50-$60, this set would feature one large three-maned Light-Jet (black and trans-light blue) and two pursuing one-maned Light-Jets (black and trans-light orange). Minifigures would include Sam Flynn, Quora, Rinzler, Clu, and Kevin Flynn. Well, given that it had a rejected Ideas project associated with it, would you feel that a minifigure based, D2C set based upon Elsa's Ice Palace from Frozen could be more likely?
  17. Maybe, as only once isn't really setting a precedent necessarily. But hey, I think it's more likely than not, but we'll just have to see in time. I think a three-in-one set made up of coach/car builds exclusively is the least likely to happen, as the set needs to have an L-Gauge locomotive for its star build as a selling point, just to be sold as a "push train" that happens to be both L-Gauge and Power Functions compatible. Preferably, a three-in-one set with either a tank engine or shunter diesel as its star build would then feature two coach/car alternate builds, priced at around US $30-$50.
  18. Hey, that micro rover with its tracks etched into the landscape is great! Speaking of the landscape, I really like its Dark Red/Reddish Brown color scheme too, though it really would be perfect if Lego still produced Sand Red, which would have been more than fitting for Martian soil.
  19. I only hope that we will continue to see the introduction of more new parts consistent with the Nexo Knights design aesthetic, as that was one of the best parts of the theme for me. Perhaps we could see a new Space theme in the near future that takes after Nexo Knights, because I want to see more bricks and canopy parts such as 22391, 22483, and 22390 for instance (all pictured below, respectively). If not new parts, at least I hope to see plenty of recolors of many of those parts throughout the future, incorporated wherever possible.
  20. Thanks to you too, I'm really flattered that you had me in mind when designing your entry.
  21. Something like that just might be the case with The Lego Movie's sequel. It's more than likely that minidolls will appear in the movie, given that its plot involves the rescue of Batman from Finn's sister's room; so with that in mind, we just might see a war and/or destruction of Heartlake City in the movie, depending on who the sequel's villain is.
  22. Hmm, maybe? I automatically visualized this film as being a good versus evil story involving a race for the fate of the Lego Multiverse, with multiple alliances and factions, both with altruistic or selfish motivations, for being involved in this quest for... something.
  23. Exactly, especially when you consider how far TLG has probably come along in the development of the film's tie-in sets, not to mention its marketing. But still, despite all that, I just don't want to be set up for disappointment if cancelation does happen, as unlikely as it may seem. Kind of like this, but in Lego?
  24. I mentioned this entry on @danth's topic only a little while ago, but I didn't know it was yours! Besides the excellent sloped shaping done for the rocket, what really makes this entry for me is its Art Deco/Streamlined Moderne styled display base. Best of luck to you in the voting phase!
