  1. Same with those Ghostbusters and Back to the Future sets, as I was most curious to hear what the latter was exactly going to be. I'm still thinking the BTTF one is going to be a UCS scale DeLorean, much in line with the second BTTF Ideas project that was rejected. Now, didn't @Falconfan1414 say he wasn't certain these three sets were coming, as in that they may have been shelved or pushed back to 2019?
  2. Yep. Well, at least this morning instead. The Brick Fan - LEGO Ideas Stitch Achieves 10,000 Supporters
  3. I'm pretty certain that the set should be priced at between US $20-$30, judging on the size of the box the set designer is seen holding in the results announcement video. Any more than that just has to be overpriced, as I don't think the final product will end up exceed three hundred parts.
  4. I like Nexo Knights, but not really as a Castle theme, so I definitely agree with you on this point. This at least is what crazy vehicles should look like in a true Castle theme, as at least they are just mildly hyperbolic takes on real medieval weaponry.
  5. Of course, as I was only using those as other examples of well known, public domain literary figures that offer much flexablity in terms of reimagining/reinterpretation, primarily since we were on the subject of the Arthurian lore and legends.
  6. Ha, even though they are at the very least legends. But seriously, other literary figures could be given the same approach, as opposed to sets that depict outright verbatim scenes from associated literature. Characters such as Zorro, Sherlock Holmes, Tarzan, and such have so many interpretations, stories, and reimaginings associated with them that adding on to that lore wouldn't be that groundbreaking. Therefore, Lego can take whatever liberties they want to the character(s) so to make the story more appealing to their target audiences.
  7. Even though both Tron and its sequel are, at the most, cult movies, I do wonder if the set alone will be popular enough to warrant a larger follow-up playset much like the Ghostbusters HQ. But, I do suppose that we only got the HQ since there was a rejected Ideas project preceding it.
  8. Well, considering that system's large, modular parts, I suppose it wouldn't be that hard to incorporate it into Juniors sets, whether as a rollercoaster or a monorail.
  9. I already had my mind set upon a final product including Sam and Rinzler's cycles, but come to think of it, that would be much better as a nice homage to both the original film and its sequel.
  10. For one, I think that tycoon character looks like Elon Musk. How 'bout that monorail, in a Juniors set?
  11. I think Lego should use these characters for their theme's own original storyline, with plot elements either lightly inspired or twisted from the original source material. In other words, I think such a theme should be a contribution to the lore, not a direct copy of it.
  12. Well, particularly, I was thinking that maybe Lego could invent their own signature take on whichever literary character they may chose. When you think of an original invention like Johnny Thunder, sure you may immediately think of Indiana Jones, but both represent an archetype that the latter doesn't necessarily have complete dibs on. I'm primarily wondering if some archetypes are too thoroughly enmeshed with a particular character to be separated from for the invention of original character, therefore the necessity of banking on a particular preexisting named character for depicting that archetype. Besides the hunter character, did any of the other heroes of that theme take after any well known literary/pop culture figures and/or archetypes? The younger guy of the group had a sort of 1950's American vibe, but who and what he for instance was inspired after I don't know.
  13. Much like last year's BB8, which also came with a plaque.

Classic Space Ship by @The Librarian Oh yeah, Grey-Tron. It's always interesting to see people build within that never-before-seen color scheme.
  16. Hmm, if both Nexo Knights and Elves were both ending this year, I'd think a new medieval fantasy theme was on the horizon too. But would it be only a single theme, given Nexo is a boys' theme and Elves is aimed towards girls? Maybe Lego has cooked up a line that would appeal to both? Now that I suppose could appeal to both demographics, but being a licensed theme, that would rather suck. Depending, I too would be all on board for a Minidoll Space theme! Huh, I wonder if that would have more to do with the DC Girls franchise as opposed to Lego's own contribution to it. Are there any clues to how other products are faring for it?
  17. What's "Castle-Castle"?
  18. Nah, you know what, many newbies probably don't look over the topic's older content until much later perhaps, so it doesn't hurt at all I think to bring those revelations up again. Same with revisiting old ideas proposed here earlier, as it refreshes the discussion for those who are new on the block. Though I'm sure he's most busy, I sure do wish Mark were around more often.
  19. It's only 2,643 pieces, just below the 3,000 part limit. But if this project was approved, its part count quite possibly could be reduced anyway; but, for being an original project, it would possibly be priced around the same range as most Creator Expert modulars even if it did retain its original piece count.

  21. Here's the second trailer for Rampage, releasing on April 20th. Also, a totally 80s poster for Ready Player One too was released.
  22. Sinbad the Sailor would make for a pretty darn cool action/adventure theme, which essentially, would be an Arabian take of sorts on Lego's Classic Pirates line and other nautical themes and genres. Just think of Ray Harryhausen's The 7th Voyage of Sinbad, with all its mythical monsters. Certainly, as that would also allow Lego to experiment with genres and sagas that otherwise Lego wouldn't be so sure of as a standalone theme. Start off with only one or two sets, and go from there depending on their success. Subthemes that do better than others would receive more focus in future waves, while others can be revisited later down the line to test the waters again if they didn't fare well initially.
  23. OK, just found her now on Instagram. She seems to work fairly well, at least for superimposition onto standard minifigure components; but, I can't help but think that she looks like a little girl.
  24. Atlantis was the only Aquazone theme I ever cared about, as the heroes' submersible craft were some of the spaceiest looking Aquazone sets ever. The color scheme of the first year's craft seemed to echo M-Tron, and while I didn't care for the color scheme of the second year, at least it gave us a few new Trans-yellow canopy recolors! A water planet setting with navel, nautical themes? I could dig that! Awesome, just what you needed! Congratulations on your approach towards one hundred supporters!
