  1. As great as that would be, plausibly, I almost think Lego would rather opt for a line of medieval village modulars for the Creator Expert line as opposed to a castle focused one. It's only because that a village line would more resemble the Town centric line of modulars we have now, only in a medieval way. Most audiences, besides AFOLs, I think would warm up to a line like that over a castle based one since it would be more familiar, more down-to-earth, and less regal and militaristic.
  2. Looks like it to me, maybe? Wow, those are the best minifigure caricatures of the three yet! I really like how their expressions have more of an adolescent style that Lego uses on many of their younger characters currently.
  3. Make that TWO trilogies! Washington Post - A Guide To Every Star Wars Movie And TV Show That's Planned Right Now
  4. Certainly, such as the Unicorn Guy's shield, the Coyboy's torso and hat, the Spider Guy's hoodie, the Racecar Guy minus the racecar, the Elephant Girl's mouse and pink tutu, the Clown's red bowtie and orange TLBM Joker coattails, and his balloon dogs too. But all in all, the Clown, Birthday Boy, and Birthday Girl seem like the best figures of this CMS as a whole.
  5. Of course, as that comment of McKay's just might be referring to the Lego world beyond the basement. How that may be seen in the perspective of a minifigure in the movie has yet to be clarified, but I'd imagine the stated "space" setting might be more metaphorical than how we'd see space ourselves. Anything pertaining to Lego's past for the most part is for the sake of paying homage to their heritage, not for us nostalgic fans, so yeah, I don't think we're ever at the forefront of their priorities for the most part.
  6. I may like how this Hulkbuster set turned out, but ironically, it's too clean looking compared to the actual thing as seen in that picture you posted. I mean, how often does a Lego set turn out to be less greebly than the object it's depicting, given how studded Lego bricks are? It's like the designers did too good of a job.
  7. This is pretty darn awesome, I really wish Lego could extend this concept to other themes besides Minecraft and Creator. We need more kit sets!
  8. Well, we have seen a leaked photo of her in minifigure form as Mrs. Incredible, though only with Mr. Incredible's hairpiece instead. I'm pretty certain that image was of her and not Violet. Hmm, I didn't think of that upon reading the descriptions.
  9. But from this series, that's really one of the only things you'll gain from this CMS.
  10. Interesting. I didn't think we'd see that headgear part utilized for another license this early on, let alone for Disney.
  11. Well I'll say this, they've all got great new facial expressions, so there's definitely that to come away with for those who don't care for costumed CMFs. The Elephant Girl's and Dragon Guy's expressions particularly are useful, as they're just not typical happy faces. Not to say that the happy expressions we do get aren't anything special, as they're all unique in own ways. Well shucks, I didn't know you were on here Allen! I always visit your site first thing every morning even before I sign in here at Eurobricks.
  12. I just watched Disney's 2014 Big Hero 6 last night, which was a great film, but a thought had just occurred to me after the fact. Does anyone think The Lego Ninjago Movie tried to tiptoe its way around that film in its rewrites? I know the Ninjago movie only resembles Big Hero 6 in vague respects, but wonder if the initial pitch was a whole lot more similar, too much so that it had to be hastily redone in terms of plot and storyline. Exactly the overwhelming sense that I came away with from this movie too. Oh yes, the set lines so far for all three cinematic movies haven't disappointed us yet, as at least we all came away with that. But still, one bad movie just may have led WB to shelve or toss many other plans for future installments in this universe that could have no doubt yielded some extraordinary set lines, so here's hoping that the next two installments won't disappoint critically and financially.
  13. I guess this is true, as nearly everything that was under the Racers banner has a fitting home in so many other preexisting themes and lines. This too can be said for other lines that are currently no longer with us. But still, would you think that a revival could be a possibility if we saw a reboot of the Racers videogame series by TT Games? Though 2019's The Billion Brick Race is seemingly going to be serving the same purpose, I'm surprised we haven't seen a third game or reboot of Racers for all these years. Perhaps Lego and their media partners just don't want to tread on Nintendo's Mario Kart territory?
  14. Certainly, as there were some great questions that were submitted here!
  15. Thanks for directing everyone over to that topic!
  16. Ah, excellent, both normal and stretched-out variants of Elastigirl! But, until we have more detailed descriptions, I'm now wondering if the stretched variant will be the solo one seen in the trailer with her new outfit. That kinda would suck a little.
  17. But, this is not to say that the City theme couldn't ever steer into Sci-Fi territory in the near future. Like I've proposed elsewhere in the past, I do think Lego could (and should) take the next Space subtheme of City's to the moon, with a lunar base setting that would pay homage to Classic Space as we knew it. Ah, but we aren't certain of this yet, as the "space action musical" description given by The Lego Batman Movie director Chris McKay may or may not be implying that. There hasn't been anything yet to lead us to believe that Space may not be a prevalent theme in this upcoming sequel.
  18. Exactly. That topic though is more of a wishlist-type discussion. Even though you could pitch your own ideas for a successor to Nexo Knights, this topic of @Agent Kallus's posted below is more suited for plausible speculation of the future of action/adventure themes.
  19. For the time that Star Wars is still prevalent in cinematic media, I think that most ideas for an in-house theme that have a setting in space might be seen as treading on Star Wars' territory, hence why we might not see such a line for the time. Same here, as I really hope that Lego hasn't completely abandoned that as a model. Sometimes, I wonder if TLG has currently set Ninjago and company as a standard to be met for in-house lines. Besides 2001's Life on Mars, Mars Mission was only seen after 2005's Revenge of the Sith had been released, about two years after the fact. And then two years after the last Space theme, Galaxy Squad, Disney cranked the Star Wars machine back to life.* * If you think about it, Disney's acquirement of Lucasfilm was only three months after Lego's release of the second and last wave of Galaxy Squad sets. I strongly think that a mining based Space theme could work in this current Star Wars dominated environment. In other words, it would be Power Miners on a different planet, but its grounded setting would set it apart from Star Wars in resemblance. Besides, we're long overdue for a successor to Power Miners.
  20. Exactly, as the theme could go whichever direction. Personally, I'd like to see a different subtheme that would resemble Speed Champions in terms of scale, but with a wackier, character themed vibe, kinda like Mario Kart or the first Racers videogame. On the other end of the spectrum, how about another subtheme that would give us at least one Expert-scale modern supercar set a year, preferably System constructed as opposed to Technic constructed?
  21. Neither would I, so that's why I think it should be integrated into a rebooted Racers as a subtheme of it.
  22. While licensed characters and cameos are seemingly inevitable for this installment, I'm personally hoping this film is rather very heavy on original characters for the most part. Perhaps this may not be the direction the development of this film is still taking plot-wise, but if anything, maybe writer Drew Pierce's comment about the movie's "blue collar Rocky vibe" can give us an idea of what sort of characters we may expect from this spinoff. You know, just like how The Lego Movie was heavy on more of the Classic themes (City, Space, Pirates, Castle), perhaps this movie will more be a heavy-handed tribute to action themes of the 2000's (Agents, Power Miners, Aquazone, etc.). So yeah, I kinda can see something like that happening. Oh yeah, Adventurers themed tie-in sets for this movie would be great, especially if they veer more towards the Dieselpunk spectrum of things, style/aesthetics wise. Ah, a classic Mach 5 would be a great benefit to earn from a tie-in set for this movie.
  23. Pretty much this, at least until Disney's Star Wars barrage passes over. Like @icm said, Lego is seemingly spreading Space where they can in other preexisting themes, whether directly or indirectly. Personally, I think the Creator theme would be the best home for Space until then, as it's a pretty constraint-less line that can house pretty much anything.
