The Incredibles 2 2018: Rumors and Discussion
Digger of Bricks replied to Falconfan1414's topic in LEGO Licensed
The only thing I lament, is that Mr. Incredible's legs still have those "diaper" prints. If they lacked that, the legs could have at least been plucked from the black hip piece, replaced with a red one, and then been used to give Santa Claus boots. Same could have been done for Tim Drake Robin. -

Plus, newly printed figures wouldn't be off limits for the theme, as at least one of this year's Creator sets feature a minifigure with a brand new torso print. Traditionally, the Creator theme typically outfits its sets with whatever stock minifigure parts are on hand from other themes, usually City for the most part.

In the new Super Bowl spot for Solo: A Star Wars Story, there's essentially an Imperial monorail train seen at the 0:28 and 0:31 second marks. I doubt we'll see a set based upon it this year, if ever at all, but this could be a opportunity for Lego to introduce a new monorail system, maybe.

That's how I'm interpreting his implication, but no, I don't know anything myself. Now if we saw a castle done for either Creator or Creator Expert, I doubt panels or specialized parts would be utilized, which in my opinion is a good thing. Personally, I'd like to see a series of Creator three-in-one sets that are modular in their compatibility, where multiple sets can be bought to create a castle of whatever size desired.

It still is my number one favorite! But, besides that, here are a few other mecha creations that have caught my eye: Steampunk Mech by Moko The Road Runner by BobDeQuatre (a.k.a. @Bob De Quatre) Gypsy Danger by JAN LEGO

Future LEGO Pirates Set Speculation
Digger of Bricks replied to David Thomsen's topic in LEGO Pirates
But at least the Destiny's Bounty never ventured into space, right? Unless something like that happened in the TV show (give me a break), the Bounty was at least an airship, not a spaceship. But, since you've brought up the Bounty, if I were to of designed that set, I would have had the ship either propeller driven with steam boilers or propelled by medieval oriental rocket technologies, at least in a hyper-advanced state. -

Oh, yeah, I didn't account for that for some reason. Edit: Oh, by the way, here's the Super Bowl trailer.- 1,290 replies

Would have been. I'm afraid it is indeed too late for such a thing to happen this year, as ideal as it would have been for both occasions; and as for the near future, it's going to be hard for Lego to find an ideal time to fit such a set into the annual Creator Expert lineup. Modular buildings are an annual given, while other periodic themes for the line include Fairground sets, Expert scale automobiles, and architectural landmark sets. Am I missing anything? I'm afraid he meant the latter unfortunately.

Jurassic World 2018 - Rumors and Discussion
Digger of Bricks replied to Robert8's topic in LEGO Licensed
Come to think of it, yeah, I sort of could see that happening, as we have yet to see a reprint/recolor of the existing Triceratops mold from 2012's Dino theme for Jurassic World. If that were the case though, I think the four characters we've seen already could be all such a set can give us for its size. But, the concerned expressions on many of the figures faces might suggest otherwise, unless Lego has the set portray the Triceratops charging at the Explorer.- 1,290 replies

The Incredibles 2 2018: Rumors and Discussion
Digger of Bricks replied to Falconfan1414's topic in LEGO Licensed
I'm not sure if we know if this piece is definitely exclusive to Disney properties, but I'd imagine that Elastigirl will end up utilizing Ms. Marvel's torso from last year, since that character is a Disney property also. -
Jurassic World 2018 - Rumors and Discussion
Digger of Bricks replied to Robert8's topic in LEGO Licensed
Unless Lego ends up throwing character/scene correlation out the window, I think the presence of these four characters together in a single set (if one set is all we're expecting) narrows the build down to either the Explorer(s), the Visitor's Center, or both.- 1,290 replies

Yes, Creator and/or Creator Expert everything and anything; because you don't need an specific theme to house a single castle, spaceship, modular, or whatever it may be set, only a theme that can be anything and everything.

Future LEGO Pirates Set Speculation
Digger of Bricks replied to David Thomsen's topic in LEGO Pirates
Yeah, I myself would like to see a Space Pirates theme too, but not in the way Treasure Planet handled it. Like with Ninjago, I found that movie clever in concept, but dumb in its execution of technical concepts and aesthetics. For instance, why couldn't the film's voyager craft instead be large, enclosed space freighters with layout and design inspired after 18th century sailing vessels, as opposed to near direct copies of those vessels with thrusters slapped on in a tacky manner? I know the movie was more akin to fantasy as opposed to science fiction, but they could of at least tried to inject a little bit of plausible realism into the film. Like I said elsewhere earlier, that's why I like ths Nexo Knights theme over Ninjago, as the former seemed more thought out in its overlapping/meshing of parallels. -

Oh yeah, that guy. I see he also has Mr. Incredible and The Underminer in that collection too, as I've been searching all over Instagram for those two. Though I suppose it was necessary, Underminer's nose looks weird. Ellie? Yeah, nothing better than some universal dual molded hiking boots/khaki pants.- 1,290 replies

Yet another excellent Classic Spacecraft @spaceman76! I like how this is an enlarged approach to your prior Patroller, as it reminds me of how Jon Blackford had followed up his LL222 with its miniature LL221 counterpart. Nothing really beats a Galaxy Explorer/Space Cruiser-like Classic Spaceship! By the way, do you still have your Patroller assembled? If so, could you do a side-by-side picture of that craft with this one?

LEGO Nexo Knights 2018
Digger of Bricks replied to Peppermint_M's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I liked the theme to a degree myself, but like you, it was its new class of angular parts that I cared about the most. It's my hope that we will continue to see more parts of that style and class introduced long after this theme has passed. Sorry, but Disney's big fat rump has completely engulfed that seat for who knows how long.- 1,601 replies
