  1. So, you're proposing a broadly defined fantasy/sci-fi theme, with multiple, periodically returning subthemes, and the potential for all-new subthemes throughout its run? I would certainly dig that.
  2. Does anyone here think that we might see sets for Disney's 2019 live action remake of Aladdin? In a way, a line of sets based upon the film could be considered as a spiritual successor to Lego's 2009 Prince of Persia theme.
  3. As always, to keep the hopes and awareness of Space themed Creator sets alive and relevant! Well, not to say that all minidoll themes lack conflict, as both Elves and DC SuperHeroes Girls feature adversaries. But, I do think that a minidoll Space theme lacking conflict isn't therefore out of the question, though that may be how it will turn out in the end anyway. Same here, and if such a theme will end up supplying us with new canopy recolors, than I wouldn't mind if the theme lacks minifigures.
  4. LL-222 and LL-221 by Jon Blackford LL936 and LL946 Patroller by @spaceman76 Yeah, a lot of their creations typically use large parts like airplane wings and bow sloped shells/canopies, giving them a very shapely form. Sci-fi plus WWII? Yep, that's Dieselpunk for ya. Also, those printed canopy parts from I believe a CW Jedi Shuttle set give the aircraft that sort of look.
  5. That's not a bad idea, as it certainly would be a much faster and easier game to set up.
  6. Well, one idea I've proposed here on this topic before, is a storyline focused upon a intergalactic exploration crew who discover a forested moon, who's native inhabitants are under siege from an extraterrestrial invading army. In response, the exploration crew join forces with the moon's natives to help fight back against the invaders. It's sort of like James Cameron's Avatar, but only this time with humans as allies of the natives. Kind of like Star Trek in a way, with many possibilities for a long life span (Live Long and Prosper, if you will).
  7. Like with minifigures, that precedent could change. I'd imagine that the theme's first steps would be for smaller, single stud animal molds (chickens, rabbits, mice, etc.), before they get around to larger ones. If we ever did see a castle themed set for the theme before that happens, they might possibly throw in a few brick built horses, which could be seen as a nod of sorts to the Yellow Castle.
  8. Something with either an all out Dieselpunk/Noir/Gotham City style or one of a Decopunk/Metropolis/Flash Gordon aesthetic. In other words, something of a hyper-retrofuturistic sci-fi inspiration. Take these micro cityscape creations as respective examples to illustrate: Dieselpunk/Noir/Gotham City Decopunk/Metropolis/Flash Gordon
  9. Maybe, but I don't know if the last incarnation of Pirates was supposed to last more than a single year anyway.
  10. You must mean nuts! But hey, this is pretty clever, and I love how the acorns are build.
  11. One Gridcycle by _zenn (a.k.a. @-zenn) The Manta Wing by The Suboken Bricks Project Seafoam Snowman by Slnine Detroit Phantom MK1 by Jeff Churill Unnamed by dorian glacet Whoa. I haven't seen that one before, and honestly, not a bad idea for incorporating that set into a Classic Space creation! The black wheels are a little strange, as I'm usually used to red ones for CS themed creations; but I do suppose it lends a little bit of seriousness to the creation. I've never seen that guy's work before, and hey, I really dig his studless style! Here are a few other creations of his that caught my eye: Bison Katania by Naugem Sunburner by Naugem
  12. Here's the official synopsis for April 2019's Shazam! Screen Rant - Shazam! Gets Official Synopsis; Dwayne Johnson Executive Producing
  13. That was one of the few Ninjago storylines I liked as a whole, since that was as Steampunk as a Lego set line ever got. Lego's 2012 Monster Fighters theme probably comes in at a close second; but, come to think of it, that theme sort of was more akin to Dieselpunk than it was to Steampunk.
  14. Oh yeah, I would seriously love to see something like that corner building as a set! Thanks for bringing that one up, as that is indeed one of my all time favorite modular creations!

  16. Wait, you don't know that @Falconfan1414 had previously said that there may indeed be a set based upon that film coming this year?
  17. Yeah, when it comes to Steampunk, I'm not really crazy about most creations, as they're usually too skeletal looking or too drab in their color choices. But when they end up looking like that mech... Speaking of such, here are a few other Steampunk creations I do like: Steampunk Mega Wheel by Chris Wight Mobile Mechanized Tesla Cannon by captainsmog Urban Steam Monorail by captainsmog
  18. SR-71A: The Final Flight by JustOneMoreBrick has passed the 10K milestone, becoming the second project to reach the First 2018 Review Stage.
  19. Sweet! I love your incorporation of those 2×2 bows with a cut-out onto the Galaxy Explorer-like shuttlecraft! By the way, was this done for the Ideas Moments in Space contest?
  20. Regarding the car(s), they are roughly five to six bricks high, have perhaps a 4×6 footprint, and are built onto a lime green rollercoaster boogie with Trans-Light Blue window panels. Also, after looking at the box art again, I don't think there are any straight track after all.
  21. It is. Essentially, from what I can see, it's a few lengths of straight and curved LBG rollercoaster track with at least a car wrapping around the back of the resort/hotel.
  22. I'd love to see Lego do another Art Deco modular myself, but preferably one that was less Miami Beach in its color choices. As I put it earlier on this topic, less like Fallout, more like BioShock. But, realistically, I'd don't think Lego will revisit anything Art Deco for the second time in a row, but that doesn't necessarily mean they'll immediately revisit architectural styles seen before the Diner. Like @LegoModularFan had suggested, Art Nouveau would be awesome, but can Lego effectively capture that with bricks? Well...
  23. Same here, for some reason. The "monorail" in that teaser was also quite intriguing.
  24. Yeah, who knew we'd ever see something resembling a train in the Star Wars universe?
  25. Had the Santa Claus CMF come in a series post-2015, he'd most definitely have those boots. But, since Lego already has the dual molded color combination thanks to the Mr. Incredible CMF and upcoming Juniors variant, they could at least give us an unprinted pair of those legs on a City Advent Calendar Santa figure.
