  1. The Mask of Zorro from 1998.
  2. Yes, that's true regarding the nature of Prohibition Era gang conflicts; but, it is surprising that Lego had ever even considered it as a playtheme at all to begin with. Now you mention steam locomotives, yes, there's a particular example of a facet that couldn't be covered by the City theme due to its modern setting; so, expanding the timeframe of the line would open up the doors to period specific relics such as that.
  3. Aw, thanks! Given what you've already pieced together so far, it wouldn't be too hard! That's a great infographic, one that I've saved on a Pinterest board of mine. Here's a comprehensive Wikipedia article on even more Retrofuturistic genres: Wikipedia - Cyberpunk Derivatives Certainly, and such a theme can be an outlet for so many historical settings and genres that otherwise couldn't stand alone as a individual playtheme. For this year? I think it's too late for that; but, I do hope some new smaller scale, archetypical action/adventure themes are on the horizon for the near future!
  4. I wish, but I have so many disorganized collections of bricks that I haven't the time to sort unfortunately. Despite that, I've tried to find something small to create from one of those disorganized collections, only to burn myself out from the frustration of not being able to find a specific part. The bulk of my collection is made up of the accumulation of garage sale and thrift store finds; so before my collection became so vast, I was able to navigate through it much more easily, so I did at the time have a few creations that I never took pictures of.
  5. I've never seen that airship creation before. Speechless. I've never seen this creation before either! Much smaller in scale compared to the airship, but equally as impressive!
  6. Hypothetically, the theme could start out by introducing subthemes that are set within more specific locations and time periods that fall broadly within the Town context. For instance, how about subthemes based upon 1950's American Suburbaniana, a police line which takes after the cops and gangster conflicts of 1940's America, or a subtheme that is focused upon a particular European city? Eventually, City could then become a line of playsets similar to the non-licensed Collectable Minifigure line, with one-off sets and subthemes based upon a whole host of archetypical genres, even becoming a home for Classic themes like Castle, Space, and Pirates! P.S. Thanks for following me by the way!
  7. If anything, I'd rather want to see the City theme evolve like it's doing now and eventually expand to the point of outgrowing its own name. What do I mean by that? Well, given how many recent exploration subthemes have taken the line outside of its own city limits, why can't we see City eventually introduce subthemes that are set outside of its modern setting? Take those steps, and City could potentially encompass other archetypical settings and themes, shedding its own name for a much more broadly encompassing name like, say, LEGO Universe.* *Not necessarily referencing the failed MMORPG.
  8. As far as animated comedies about the internet go, this upcoming movie at least has to be to some degree better that The Emoji Movie ever was.
  9. I guess I'll simply have to wait for a better look, but honestly, it just looks way too dorky. Just because so many cinematic reinterpretations of superhero costumes have gone dark and moody one to many times doesn't mean costume designers should go to the opposite end of the spectrum just to be a breath of fresh air.
  10. Congratulations on your approach towards a thousand supporters, such a fun idea for a project!
  11. I've been waiting for Lamborghini to arrive to the theme since its beginning, and yeah, I don't know why we haven't seen that brand yet either. The former Racers theme did have two Expert scale Gallardo sets back then, so I don't know what's going on exactly. Despite being a subsidiary of Volkswagen, perhaps Lego still has to reattain a separate license for the Lamborghini brand if it had expired from then?
  12. Works nicely for her, though I can't tell if it's a plastic or rubbery mold.
  13. For those interested, there's a new Classic Space themed LEGO Ideas submission that has been posted recently that's rather nice! LEGO Ideas - Gravitron Explorer
  14. Well, whenever I can, I insert that color into any detail or part when filling out a minifigure suggestion fillout form on this topic; because if you need an antiquey metallic color, why opt for Pearl Gold when you could suggest Copper instead? Being posted on The Embassy subforum and all, I don't know if TLG is still paying attention to that topic (if they ever were at all); but hey, you never know. This has been stated before elsewhere, but given how little variety there is for Red within Lego's color palette spectrum, a reintroduction of Sand Red is probably much more likely than Sand Purple if anything.
  15. Could an Arts and Crafts/Frank Lloyd Wright architectural style work within a modular framework? Has it ever been attempted as an MOC by anyone? Have any previous modulars sets adopted it in subtle ways before?
  16. Before Lego, I grew up with the old Learning Curve brand Wooden Railway system for Thomas the Tank Engine, with many train and track parts that I still have in my possession today. So, when they do come by, I still purchase any old collections of that system donated to local Goodwill stores that I may find, since they're much harder to come by than most Lego.
  17. By the way, I haven't at all watched any of it, but how are the citizens and culture of Knighton portrayed in the theme's companion TV show? Do they resemble typical medieval peasants, only with modern/advanced technology? The only hint I've seen myself is on the sets' backdrop box art, where medieval, straw roofed tutor houses are outlined in Tron-like digital livery. I've said this before elsewhere, but between those two colors, Sand Purple is the one I'd like to see make a reappearance more so than Sand Red. Indeed, but I don't know why we haven't seen more usage of it beyond its introductory sets.
  18. Rewatched Pixar's The Incredibles a few nights ago.
  19. So, it's a projection of the future from our vantage point technologically, only that the culture had reverted back to a feudal system of kings, knights, chivalry, nobles, etc. Right?
  20. I would, but with those five themes for instance you mentioned there, both sides were as equally intriguing. But with Nexo Knights, I honestly could care less about the theme's villains, save for maybe year three's adversaries with their more spacier rides.
  21. Yep, that's the one! Thanks for digging that up!
