  1. Boy, you certainly went crazy with all the newer quarter tiles, macaroni tiles, and cut-corner bow slopes on the exterior of this build! A most excellent modular!
  2. The thing is though, I don't believe any of these TV shows get direct tie-in toys marketed towards kids anyway, whether they be Marvel or DC related programming. There are collectables like Funko Pops, but for the most part, any tie-in merchandise related to superhero TV shows is aimed towards adult collectors anyway, right?
  3. I wish there were a good close-up image of it, but I'd like to see that vintage styled suspended monorail seen running throughout Ninjago City, which was also carried over to the TV show afterwards. Anyone here aware of any good close-up images of that train? I was disappointed that it wasn't featured in the film's "Art and Making of" book.
  4. The black, reverse studded 1×4 plate in the middle is rather interesting.
  5. Likewise, Light Bluish Grey with Earth Blue boots would be another great combination.
  6. The Brick Fan - LEGO Creator Christmas Train (30543) Polybag Official Images I agree, as the front of the locomotive's boiler resembles that of an Art Deco, streamlined steam engine.
  7. That scooter design in particular is rather cute!
  8. Saw this got highlighted over on The Brothers Brick blog. The Brothers Brick - An Italian restaurant built from Danish bricks
  9. Ooooh, sounds most intriguing.
  10. Oh my, this looks like something @Nabii would've built! Love both its Earth Blue/Dark Bluish Grey color scheme and the micro tread pieces used as artillery belts.
  11. As a spiritual successor to 2014's UCS Tumbler, I'd hope to see an Expert scale build of Tim Burton's Batmobile next year, in the advent of both the 1989 film's thirtieth anniversary and the character's eightieth anniversary. Like the UCS Tumbler, it should come with exclusive minifigures of Michael Keaton's Batman in his Batman Returns suit and Jack Nicholson's Joker. P.S. Also, like in 1992's Batman Returns, the Batmobile's sides would split off to become the Batmissile.
  12. Congratulations to you @kritch, as you've certainly built a most deserving beauty!
  13. Hey @LegoModularFan, this may be a bit off topic, but I just noticed back on Thursday you'd signed up over on the BrickPicker forums and had started following me over there. Unfortunately through, given the forum's three post approval system for new members, I myself have been waiting since April 13th (when I signed up) for my own three posts to be approved of, as I've been restricted from both posting and receiving notifications since then as a result. So, I was just wondering, do you perhaps know how long it took for your first introductory post to be approved of? Are you receiving notifications?
  14. Wikipedia - Gustave Strauven - Maison Saint-Cyr I'd immediately imagine that it would be something residential or another hotel, as most examples of Art Nouveau architecture I've typically seen seem to be in that vein. For instance, I've cited this abandoned Glasgow police headquarters here before as an example of what I'd like to see in terms of more "elegant" Art Deco, especially in terms of color.
  15. That would be great, something to give that old 2006 Jim Lee styled variant a little bit of an upgrade. After that, I'd hope to see dual molded Dark Bluish Grey legs with Earth Blue boots and Earth Green ones with Bright Red boots, at the very least that is...
  16. While there are much more modest options as far as examples of Art Nouveau architecture go, I'd like to see Lego attempt something as crazy as, this for instance:
  17. A part I've always wished to see is a one brick high variant of cone brick 3942, which would retain the same 2×2 base and 1×1 top, but only have a height of a single brick as opposed to two. Apologies if you have already rendered such a part, as I may have accidentally glanced over it when looking through your portfolio if you have already.
  18. Nah, I'm pretty sure one car would suffice for both Lego and fans if that were to be the case. Perhaps an arcade/pizzeria combo could work? True, as its necessity would therefore not bug fans as much as before. I still hope to see an official modular which takes after a more refined, elegant form of Art Deco some time soon here, one that's less Raygun Gothic and Googie in its aesthetic. I'd hope to someday see a series of Victorian and/or Dickensian English style modular buildings myself. I really hope they touch upon that style someday, but more importantly, I hope that it's even possible to capture for an official set! By the way, are you aware @Jim said he may have another opportunity to interview a Creator Expert designer this year? I submitted a question about Art Nouveau pertaining to the Modular Building line if he does get the chance.
  19. Holy... Damn, that thing would scare Benny brickless.
  20. Too bad that Rebirth variant didn't give us some dual molded Light Bluish Grey legs with Black boots.
  21. Oh yes, I myself particularly dig his midi-modulars, especially his Daily Brick* one seen in the center of that lineup! * Obviously, it's the Daily Planet.
