Over on the Ideas discussion, @parsom mentioned that the Pop-Up Book project has disappeared from the "Projects in Review" carousel at the bottom of the LEGO Ideas home page. Anyone have a clue as to what that could mean?

DC Superheroes 2018 - Set Discussion
Digger of Bricks replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
By the way, looking at Batwoman's figure again, I started to wonder if she has TLBM Robin's mid-length cape recolored in Bright Red. Does it look like that may be the case to anybody else, or is it perhaps just a case of skewed perspective on my part? You know, if anyone wanted to, someone could give their comic styled Aquaman Mera's Dark Turquoise legs for a different look, and then swap out his Green hands with Turquoise ones sourced from some other figure.- 1,409 replies

And therefore, such a CMS wouldn't be a licensed series, meaning it can be a part of the ongoing unlicensed line we've had since 2010. For instance, I'd love to see yellow skin-toned incarnations of, say, Zorro and Captain Nemo from such a CMS. Sounds like a fun idea! Any particular literary characters you'd like to see yourself from such a series @Yorel?

Dark Turquoise Mera? Wow, I like the figure for that color choice alone, and Aquaman is surprisingly more comic styled than his incarnation in Justice League. Unless these designs are off from what will actually be seen in the film, I guess this is the direction they're taking the DCEU, given the on-set photos we've seen of Shazam's costume earlier. By the way, anyone planning on using this Aquaman variant's printed legs to upgrade their comic variant?- 1,409 replies

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Digger of Bricks replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
Something architecturally like this Ideas project, perhaps? Retro Bowling Alley by Astronaut Avila If anything, something following the aesthetic of the above project would take the modular building line further past the 1950's, and instead into the Populuxe look of the 60's. -

Unless this Black Manta figure is based upon some initial concept art (a.k.a. Ares), he surprisingly has little deviation in design from comic based source material. But, hey, at least he gives us a Black recolor of the initial mask/airtank mold from 2015, as I do always welcome recolors of these specialized parts. As for Batwoman, sure, a fine figure all in all; but, her minifigure just could've been a great opportunity to introduce some dual molded Black legs with Bright Red boots.- 1,409 replies

Inspirational Modular and Castle MOCs
Digger of Bricks replied to LegoModularFan's topic in LEGO Town
Ooooh, sounds most eventful, I'll be looking quite forwards to it! I really love not only this build's roof and usage of Sand Green, but also the inclusion of that telephone pole, a really nice touch by the way!- 817 replies

Presumably the upcoming Summer/Fall 2018 wave, as I don't think we'd be seeing leaks for 2019 playsets yet.

What would you want from a new Lego monorail system?
Digger of Bricks replied to Trekkie99's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Here's a non-motorized, Disneyland monorail project utilizing a purist track solution (CRS, I guess?) submitted just today over on LEGO Ideas: Disneyland Mark VII Monorail by Brickifier1 According to TLG in more recent press releases and CEO statements, China is indeed becoming more of a relevant market for the company, so... -

This could only happen if those franchises all share the same IP owner, as singular CMSs within the Collectable Minifigure line are considered as a single product. For instance, Lego could perfectly be able to do a CMS with characters from Looney Tunes, Hanna Barbera, and DC Comics if Warner Brothers allows, but never will a CMS with WB Looney Tunes characters and Disney characters happen. You get the general idea.

Future DC Super Heroes Rumors & Speculation
Digger of Bricks replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
I do know of a few prominent Lego designers who are Eurobricks members, but not only are they somewhat inactive, I don't believe any of them have ever worked on any non-D2C Marvel/DC Super Heroes playsets in the past anyway. -
Unikitty! 2018 - Rumors and Discussion
Digger of Bricks replied to TheBrickPal's topic in LEGO Licensed
They could've recolored the new uphill extender track parts in Dark Purple for this set, but hey, I guess it's useful as a cheaper playset to obtain what preexisting track parts there are in this color. -
Future DC Super Heroes Rumors & Speculation
Digger of Bricks replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
Perhaps Lego has figured that playsets centered primarily around the Corps. just wouldn't sell that well. The thing is, I don't know why they just can't shoehorn related characters (whether they be Corps. or their adversaries) into Batman and/or Justice League centric playsets instead, like the initially did with that first one from 2015. -
I most heartily agree, as I particularly dig the usage of those blade pieces framing the edges of the windshield! Outstanding DeLorean @PriorMarcus!

Here are a few thoughts I'd like to share regarding the timeline and release slate of the period set DCEU reboot I proposed earlier on this topic: To kick off this cinematic universe, I'd start off with a solo Batman origin movie set during the year 1939 (the year the character was first introduced), focused upon a young Bruce Wayne in his early 20's who's parents were murdered a decade earlier in the late 1920's. The following year would then bring us Superman's origin tale, predominantly set during 1940, one year after the events portrayed in Batman's origin story. Wonder Woman's origin movie would be released either the same year as Superman's, or the following year, set during the late months of 1941 or beginning of 1942 upon America's entrance into the Second World War. As the first entries into this cinematic universe, all three of these initial origin movies would retain their individuality as much as possible, avoiding direct cross-references to each other so they can be treated as standalone films. Follow-up sequels to these origin films can be standalone follow-ups, or crossover sequels to two or three of the solo films depending on how quickly a Justice League movie is desired to be seen. A World's Finest movie, for instance, would precede a Trinity movie for a more gradual build-up to the Justice League film, with more of a positive focus upon Batman and Superman's partnership as opposed to the pessimistic conflict highlighted in Snyder's Batman v. Superman. Origin stories for other founding members of the Justice League would lead us into the Cold War of the 1950's, accumulating towards a Justice League movie modeled after Darwyn Cooke's graphic novel DC: The New Frontier, with Martian Manhunter acting as the catalyst for the formation of the League.
