  1. Dang, thanks a lot @allanp for offering your detailed two cents on how you feel those three properties should be handled cinematically! Like the Art Deco architectural styles portrayed in both the Batman and Superman Animated Series? Sure, I wouldn't mind that, as I too would wish to see more stylistic takes on those two cities more than anything in a reboot! But, having said that, I still think a rebooted cinematic universe set during the early/mid twentieth century would be not only amazing, but different for a change. I feel it would certainly be fun also, with characters such as Batman and Superman pitted against Cagney-esque gangsters and racketeers, giving the films the feel of Warner Bros movies of that era. Plus, the potential for Superman pitted against Nazis? How cool would that be!
  2. By the way, it looks like the new GoKart subtheme for summer's Friends sets has introduced a new helmet mold with an attached ponytail. Many of the sets within the subtheme offer the new part in a lot of different helmet/hair color combinations, but I'm just wondering if Spacers will at all be interested in it. Here's a particularly better look at the helmet in this set picture:
  3. The new Lilac and Green for spring looks quite nice! Interestingly enough, this Spring 2018 theme now remains when I sign in, as it was stuck on the Fall 2017 theme when I did sign in throughout the winter. Not sure what that was all about, but I never bothered to ask. By the way, why the persistent zombie theme for the Sci-Fi subforum's banner? Is it just a subtle, humorous statement on the current state of Space?
  4. I usually post where I can, when I can, primarily to give my two cents in the hopes of perhaps influencing those at TLG, and to steer set based discussions towards a more MOCing point of view. I just love @whitswj and @1974's contributions to @C0zmic's LEGOLAND non-production parts topic! Not only are the parts they have fascinating, but they potentially offer a glimpse into what just could have been! Really! I would certainly love to hear some of those part ideas of yours! I'd totally be on board for that, as it would most certainly broaden our community's horizons! But, like @Roger_Smith said, I'm afraid that the translation technology is just too inadequate currently. Oh dear!
  5. Here's a somewhat better look at that "monorail" seen in 41347 Heartlake City Resort, making usage of the new rollercoaster track in Light Bluish Grey:
  6. Thanks for the link @cebelicamya! By the way, I hadn't noticed this before, but apparently the GoKart sets have introduced a new helmet piece with an attached ponytail. Now I'm looking forwards to seeing how they will work on minifigures.
  7. Do you know whatever happened to the upcoming Arctic set which was to come with the new Orca mold?
  8. Really?! Is the the cover art finalized? I suppose it won't be long then until we hear of our first set rumors. Edit: Here's the Amazon listing for the book, along with a description and publishing date of December 26th, 2018. Amazon - Emmet's Guide to Being More Awesome: with Minifigure (The LEGO Movie 2) P.S. Take note that this description mentions Allison Brie's return for the sequel and its titling as The LEGO Movie 2, both of which have not yet been confirmed by the sequel's IMDb page.
  9. Saw this was featured on The Brothers Brick. The Brothers Brick - A 4x4 fit for an adventurer... and a puppy

  11. I'm just glad that they did utilize it again after all, as it's strange that they have been using it so sparingly.
  12. In other words, it was Fabuland's DC Extended Universe.
  13. Exactly, as it would be a multi-user way to catalog such parts, as I haven't found a Brickset/Bricklink-like site elsewhere which documents other brands part inventory.
  14. Off topic here just a little, but I think Fabuland should be currently revived as a subtheme under the Juniors theme. After all, both cater/catered to the same "in-between" age demographic.
  15. I'd hope that in my own lifetime we'd eventually learn what all those missing links were to be.
  16. Nope, your initial render was the closest to what wished for, as it retains its slope the whole way, thereby shifting it over a stud (or, put another way, jogs a stud)!
  17. Do you know if there is a topic here discussing competitor brands' parts, particularly those which Lego does not have an equivalent for? I've tried searching under a few tags and appropriate wording, but discovered nothing, therefore presuming there isn't yet such a topic.
  18. I believe so! It looks a little different from what I'd initially visualized, but what you've rendered is probably much more geometrically accurate. Again, thank you so much!
  19. How would you guys feel if an eventual reboot of the Marvel Cinematic Universe were set during Marvel Comics' Golden Age, from the 1950's through the 1960's? I could buy into this. A Bond movie with a non-modern period setting would probably be a lot more fun and different for a change. But hey, that's the way I feel about a lot of franchises now. Illustratory case in point:
  20. Strikingly beautiful. Truth be told, though I initially took a particular liking to the Yellowish Orange/Sand Green building upon seeing your original preview, I'm now having a hard time deciding which of these buildings I love best. Heck, I just love the whole blooming block! Oh man, will he ever...
