Just as a heads up, if anyone here has any questions regarding the Creator Expert theme, you may have yet another chance to have them answered if you missed the first opportunity last year...

The window at least, to me, it looks like this part with a double clip part studded to its rear roof:

Eurobricks Event 2018 - Program
Digger of Bricks replied to Bonaparte's topic in LEGO Events and User Groups
Does anyone know who in particular from TLG will be attending this event? -
Hey, I completely looked that over initially! That's some pretty clever NPU of a newer part!

By the way, we may have yet another chance to ask some our questions to a Creator Expert designer, so if anyone has anything they've been wondering about recently regarding the Fairground line...

What franchise should Lego do next?
Digger of Bricks replied to frikandeloorlog's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Well, one particular franchise I'd really love to see would be for Pacific Rim, just as an excuse for some Jaeger and Kaiju playsets. Naturally though, they would NOT be minifigure scale. Given what you said regarding TLG's relationship with Warner Brothers, I don't know why Lego hasn't touched upon any of these franchises yet. Like a series of medieval village modular buildings, perhaps? Ultimately, I too would rather want to see this happen before TLG accumulates any more licensed properties. -

Is it just me, or does the locomotive's front window look like the Speed Champions canopy part?
-
I'm just glad we now have another, newer set that supplies us with some large train wheels, as it would've been ridiculous if they just pulled off the exact same thing they did with the last incarnation of the Hogwarts Express. Now yes, I too think a Dark Red makeover would've been nice this time around, but hey, I can't complain much now that they've incorporated the large wheels.

Inspirational Modular and Castle MOCs
Digger of Bricks replied to LegoModularFan's topic in LEGO Town
If this were to be seriously considered, yes, I too think a separate topic would be better in this case. Polls would certainly be easier for vistors, but I think they'd make each page of the topic just too top heavy, so a point system would indeed be better in this case. This Olive Green beauty is love at first sight! Definitely an instant favorite! That's some dishelveled, wonky genius right there!- 817 replies

Future DC Super Heroes Rumors & Speculation
Digger of Bricks replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
Following the release of the DCEU film, this seems like a definite given to me. -
I refrained from giving my more recent thoughts on these two sets until official images were released, so thank you for linking these! Well, right off the bat, the first thing I noticed was the windshield piece inserted into the new passenger train front assembly, as it seems to resemble the canopy part from the Speed Champions theme. But, at the same time, it looks like it's hinged, therefore making it a new piece instead? What's the deal?

Questions for Creator Expert designers
Digger of Bricks replied to Jim's topic in Special LEGO Themes
If not this year, will these questions still perhaps be considered if the chance arises again the following year(s), if they're still of relevance by then? Alright! Here are two more I thought I'd ask: Last year, Lego released a D2C set of a modern Porsche 911 for the Technic theme, with another D2C set of a modern Bugatti Chiron to be released later this year as a follow-up. On the other hand, Creator Expert cars have typically been of non-current, classic automobiles. Is this by design? Are classic automobiles looked at exclusively as candidates for future Creator Expert sets, whereas current models the preferred choice for D2C Technic sets? Do you feel that fan-favorite Classic themes like Space, Pirates, and Castle would be better suited for the "Three-In-One" line of Creator sets as opposed to the Expert line? This year, we saw the release of two Creator sets which were lightly inspired after the Classic Pirates line. Could this perhaps be the start of something? -

Questions for Creator Expert designers
Digger of Bricks replied to Jim's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Here are a few others: Have non-D2C (a.k.a Direct to Consumer) sets for the Expert theme ever been considered before in the past? Do you feel that more affordable Expert series sets sold on a retailer wide basis could ever be a possibility in the future? Does the Creator Expert theme have the same access to automobile licenses which the Speed Champions theme has? Are there any particular automobiles brands that are off-limits to the theme that aren't to other set lines? Has there ever been considered a revival of the Designer line of Creator sets (2003-2005), perhaps as a another subtheme of Creator to sit in between the "Three-In-One" and Expert lines? Well... Was the rollercoaster track system designed for the Creator Expert set, the Joker Manor, or for no specific set in particular? Hey, now that's an interesting question! -
Same here regarding the spoiler! I guess I'd have to agree with this, as just a few more touches of Classic Space would've been nice.

Inspirational Modular and Castle MOCs
Digger of Bricks replied to LegoModularFan's topic in LEGO Town
That's incredible! I mean, how often do you see fans incorporating subway systems into their layout? I see a lot of half-width modulars there... And this set-up is entirely made up of half-width modulars! Oh dear... Does that look like LDD to anyone? That's a pretty darn wild find you've dug up there!- 817 replies

Questions for Creator Expert designers
Digger of Bricks replied to Jim's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Here are a few personal questions for the designer(s): Like the recently resurrected Dark Turquoise, are there any discontinued colors you hope or wish to see revived? Furthermore, do you feel that there are any gaps in the spectrum on Lego's color palette that could be filled? Are there any particular Lego parts you wished you had, or feel you could've used at times recently? Is there a particular architectural style you've perhaps taken a liking to that you wish to see adopted by the modular building line in the future? What type of set would you really hope to design someday? P.S. By the way @Jim, do you think this topic could be frontpaged again? It's been nearly a week since I last replied on it, and with no other questions submitted by others. -

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Digger of Bricks replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
Oh yes, definitely CRAZIER than the example I cited! My gosh, those two are like real life gingerbread houses! For obvious reasons, I particularly dig the fifth selection in that sampling, but I too would love to see oriental architecture tackled realistically for the modular building line! I know it's the most stereotypical example I could cite, but perhaps a shared Chinese take-out restaurant and martial arts studio would be the ticket?
