LEGO Elves 2018
Digger of Bricks replied to Peppermint_M's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I'm pretty sure, for the most part, that many fans expressing their wishes for the return of Classic Space are only using "Classic Space" lightly, as they're only wishing for another in-house Space theme that is not Star Wars.- 568 replies

In both cases, I personally prefer comic-inspired sets over cinematic ones, even though the latter have both minifigures and builds that can be more pleasing aesthetically. It's primarily for idealistic reasons that I prefer comic-inspired sets over the other, as I feel that the former more evoke the spirit of Lego's original, in-house lines with their more archetypical format and freestyle design of sorts. Thanks!

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
Digger of Bricks replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I don't really know if we'll be seeing any Dieselpunk archetypes in this sequel, but given the film's Space setting, I am hoping we'll rather see some "Raypunk" archetypes instead. -
Creator Expert Cars - Rumors, Discussion, and Speculation
Digger of Bricks replied to SheldonF's topic in Special LEGO Themes
By the way @SheldonF, do you think perhaps that it'd be a good idea now to broaden the title of this topic to one that encompasses both the past and future of the Creator Expert automobile subtheme, just to keep this topic relevant for the following years? For instance, if you should, I'd rename it something along the lines of Creator Expert Cars - Rumors, Discussion, and Speculation. -
Whether you're interested in the Marvel or DC Comics Super Heroes themes, which source material do you prefer seeing as the inspiration or basis for the theme's playsets? Share your personal preferences in the above poll or comment in the thread below to further elaborate!

What future LEGO Movies would you like to see happen?
Digger of Bricks replied to Realshow's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
You know what would be sort of cool, is if Warner Brothers experimented with smaller budget, Indie-styled Lego movies that were completely stop-motion animated (a.k.a."brickfilmed") with little to no CGI enhancement, bringing together experienced brickfilmers hired to work on such a project. Unlike preceding CGI-animated cinematic Lego movies, these don't have to be stories of a grand scale, only simpler tales of a more sentimental angle, kinda like some examples of Pixar fare like 2009's Up.- 97 replies

Speed Champions 2019 - Rumours, Speculation and Discussion
Digger of Bricks replied to Anonknee Muss's topic in LEGO Town
Perhaps it may be too late in the game for 2019, but I wonder if this newly unveiled hypercar from Bugatti is on the cards for the near future, presuming as always if Speed Champions will continue on past next year: The Drive - The 1,478-Horsepower Bugatti Divo Costs $5.8 Million- 428 replies

Sweet! I'll be looking most forwards to it, as it should be quite informative!

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
Digger of Bricks replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
This is pretty much in line with what I'm expecting too. Disney is a particularly great franchise for an evergreen licensed CMS line, as its source material range extends way beyond just a single film franchise or TV show. -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
Digger of Bricks replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
As far as overdue CMF archetypes go, I'm also surprised we haven't yet seen either a Train Conductor or a Locomotive Engineer for the non-licensed line. -

By the way @Ashnflash, would you ever consider doing a YouTube tutorial video covering the design process for your CMS draft work in the near future?

LEGO Elves 2018
Digger of Bricks replied to Peppermint_M's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Well, who says Space and/or extraterrestrial settings have to be only designated to boys' themes? Also, consider that a minidoll theme just may be the only viable haven at the moment for an in-house Space theme while Star Wars is still prominent at the cinemas.- 568 replies

LEGO Speed Champions - Wishlists and Future Speculation
Digger of Bricks replied to Digger of Bricks's topic in LEGO Town
Here's a more particular question for you all... What further part recolors would you like to see in the future from this theme, particularly for ones that have been introduced for the line? Furthermore, what sort of new parts do you hope or wish they'd introduce, whether they be particular types of fenders, wheels, hubcaps windshields, etc?- 81 replies

Say, I really dig this! Particularly, I love how this build is a perfect juxtaposition between sleek and rugged aesthetics; and, despite the minifigure, its small cabin windows give it quite the imposing stance. Oh, and by the way, best of luck to you in your journey towards ten thousand supporters!

LEGO Elves 2018
Digger of Bricks replied to Peppermint_M's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Exactly! In a way, Elves does seem to share a little bit of an Art Nouveau aesthetic; so, like you said, an urban fantasy theme that would adopt that architectural style could be seen as a blend of both Friends and Elves.- 568 replies

LEGO Elves 2018
Digger of Bricks replied to Peppermint_M's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
By that last part, are you saying that you'd personally rather see a traditional Space theme for boys once again rather than the introduction of one geared towards girls? Regarding Retrofuturism, I think it all depends on what sort of Retrofuturistic genre would appeal to girls, which would just be a matter of finding the right choice in historical, architectural, and technological focuses. Personally, like I've said eariler here, I really think a fantasy theme with an urban, "Nouveau-Punk" aesthetic and setting could work.- 568 replies
