  1. Those wheels suit it very nicely, but I think they need to closed off somehow... maybe with some dishes?
  2. So I'm not the only one that made that mistake!
  3. Progress has been a bit slow, but I probably should do another update: Days 18-20: Improving scissor mechanism, trying to work out how to attach LA. Day 21: I realized 1 LA wouldn't be strong enough, so started trying to figure out how to fit 2 LA's in such a small space. Day 22 (today): I worked out how to power 2 LA's with a L-motor: Hopefully I will have something better to show for the next update...
  4. The answer is simple: just build with real Lego... But seriously, it's much easier to make a digital model if you have a real one - especially when it comes to flexible parts like flex-axles or PF cables.
  5. It's not the whole cabin that rotates, it's just the seat and steering wheel... Edit: whoops... I didn't see the second page
  6. It's amazing, you just keep making this wackier and wackier!!! And then, when I think you have reached maximum wackiness, you add something crazy like this!
  7. Great idea, but can I suggest one thing... You should make the rear of the bus like the front of a toaster! - it would make it much more wacky!
  8. Nice work! I can't wait to see the real one!
  9. I like the small engine, do the pistons move when the axle turns?
  10. Your steering lever is too long (2 studs point-to-point), my steering - and I think @Marxpek's too - used a 2L beam, which resulted in only 1 stud distance between the turning points, meant that the wheel didn't move as much.
  11. Cool! But something I find funny is: Wheel in 1846 = ingenious solution Wheel in 2017 = crazy and wacky Lego wheel I bet Boydell never thought his idea would be used 171(!) years later!
  12. Well I can see that @Captainowie has already beaten me to it, but I do want to say that any video of the Brickworld Chicago GBC layout will have the Balldozer field in it - both the old and new versions. And just as a suggestion, you probably should have a look at all of BTB's GBC videos - they will give you a lot of ideas!
  13. What you have built is a modern version of the Balldozer field (I can't remember the name of who built it), and I still like it, so good work!
  14. What a wacky idea! This must be the craziest thing anyone has ever thought of! (in a good way) I agree with the others, you should keep building it, I can't possibly imagine what it would look like - it's just too wacky!
  15. Yet... I decided not to make that, as it's way too obvious... But I probably will add a cannon of some sort.
  16. Is it this one: (it's a very old topic...) If not, you probably should look in the Pirates Index.
  17. Interesting... If I understand the photo right, it looks like you are making a very tall vehicle!
  18. Okay, update time... I'm sorry about the lack of (any) updates, but I had some trouble making the right suspension... Days 13-15: Built and tried multiple types of suspension, which none of them were right for the size of tank I'm building. (including torsion bars - which were too wide - and standard tank suspension using shock absorbers - which was too long/tall) Day 16: I abandoned the suspension after finding it was too difficult, and because had an idea of a much wackier function. Day 17 (today): Built a prototype of my idea, which worked, then built a more refined version, which you can see below. (but can you guess what it does? ) Which means... This is what I have built so far: I know, not much...
  19. I think it's this one:
  20. First thing I would check is the cable you are using, the touch sensor uses less wires (inside the cable) than any other sensors, so if one of the wires is broken, it would make the other sensors stop working. So just try a different cable.
  21. Found a gearbox amongst some older EB topics: Designer: @Rage_Hobbit Number of Gears: 4 Gear Ratio Spread: 5:1 - 1:1 Transmission Type: Dual-Sequential (manual) Synchronized? Yes Instructions? Yes (LDD file)
  22. Wow, there's so much great stuff I could say about this, but I think it could be said with just on word: AMAZING!!!!
  23. I'm assuming that they would be one or more of the 2H 2017 technic sets, but only @Jim knows for sure...
