    If you can allow extra width on the axle, you could use something like this:

    Here's some ideas: Key: Green = output to wheel Yellow & Blue = Input Pink gear = need to use part 6542 Brown half-bush = need to use part 4265a Note: the two replaced parts both have teeth on them, which are connected so that the (red) clutch can engage the output axle. Note 2: different colored axles don't connect, see the image below - which has all gear and clutch parts hidden:

    Great, although it is a bit slow... (I have built much faster machine guns) I like how you included the Technic figures in the video - very funny!

    After rotating the model to the view you want, just go Toolbox>Take Screenshot, or even easier, Ctrl+K Also, don't forget to zoom in too, as the model will be exactly the same size as you see in in the workspace. (except it will have a white background)

    Okay, it's time to get back to work... And update this topic... Days 23-29: I made very little progress, as I had quite a lot of distractions... (I got a new phone, I got a SBrick, and then found the clinometer control wasn't working) Day 30: I decided it was time to start building again. I also made a fairly major design change: get rid of the LA's and motor, and save some space! (which means I completely removed the mechanism shown in the previous update) Day 31 (today): I made even more design changes (of the better kind), and changed the name accordingly. Made concept drawing. I haven't got any photos to show of the actual model at the moment (as it's currently in pieces...), but I hope to have some(thing) in the next few days (although I have updated the first post with some more information, so you could just look at that...)

    I don't know what it's going to look like, or how wacky it's going to be, but if it's anything like your previous attempt, it should be great!

    1. Just google it... 2. I don't know if it would work, but make sure you have a way to release excess pressure if something goes wrong. 3. They are about 4mm outside, and 1-2mm inside.

    It should be possible (maybe), but only with a ton of flex axles, and at a much bigger scale...

    Great work! It's great to see another mechanical ball counter, rather than the (much easier to build) electronic ones. By the way, the link to the PDF file has a ) at the end, which makes the link not work...

    Nice, you did great at replicating the blueprint! I don't mind, if there is something you're good at building, then you should build it!

    It looks better, but it looks like the contact area has gotten even smaller...

    Try this: https://brickset.com/sets/theme-Technic Just select "Table" layout, and the number of sets per page you want, and print it out. (it will be a lot of pages though...)
