Most of the LEGO I had as a kid from 70s/80s/90s era was either from older family members or from various gifts , so never really got a big collection of a single theme, it's mostly a mashup of Town, Castle, Pirates, Space with some Western/Aquazone/Adventurer mixed in. The main theme I actually managed to somewhat complete a collection of back then, were the Slizers/Throwbots where I got all the regular sized ones 1998/1999. I started collecting LEGO again in 2016, but for now, I keep the old seperate from the newer.

While I never had a lot of big sets from that era, mostly the smallest sets of the mtron/blacktron2/ice planet waves, and later some aquasharks, I still love this 80s/90s era of colors and parts. I still have a big love for those neon colors and angled parts, and Nexo Knight was the theme that got me back into LEGO after 15 year mainly because of the neon colors/cockpits.

Linking an image and then clicking it to downsize it works great for me, people can still click the image to see full size but it won't take pages to scroll down.

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
TeriXeri replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
A small Minigolf could also be something pretty funny to see on a modular rooftop or put in some empty space in a backalley corner/garden, it doesn't need to be big or playable, just give the illusion of a 1x1 stud hole. The Friends theme had a 30203: Mini Golf Polybag from 2015 and that was only a 4x8 area and was even playable. -
Lego City 2022 Rumours, Leaks, Information And Discussion

I see american traffic laws make a stop sign on the vehicle mandatory, but in europe, school bus aren't even recognizable and just use normal bus or vans. I prefer prints for sure, what I meant was that Xtra did offer some traffic signs in the form of stickers, of course I'd love to see a pack with printed signs+poles to put them on. I do hope there will be other road plate pack at some point as well, with more of those half-roads included. -

Lego City 2022 Rumours, Leaks, Information And Discussion
TeriXeri replied to Powered by Bricks's topic in LEGO Town
From an European point of view of the School set, there's a Bus Stop, and a crossover lady+ traffic light which could also stop/direct traffic, so I don't think a stop sign is overlooked in this set. However, Xtra has done Traffic lights before, so I'm still hoping for traffic signs. The Xtra stickers were a nice idea but were sold out most of the time, and also didn't come with many lego pieces/signs. A seperate school , seperate bus would be nicer of course but this is City, not Creator/Friends, we all know buildings come with vehicles in this theme, even small things like picnic trees -
Latest impact of other themes on historic themes

I loved those 60th anniversary (of the brick) sets in 2018 since they came with different from usual parts and plain minifigs + accesoires , for example : -

Original 375 castle had 14 figs and 4 horses , and the figures still have some interesting heraldry potential to be made into modernish armor/prints. If it's a truly a 90th anniversary memorable set I hope they won't expect people to sticker those emblems however Also would expect moulded horses for a modern remake, the old brick built horses use a somewhat questionable sideways tile between studs for the horse ears. -

Latest impact of other themes on historic themes

I loved many of the heraldry from the nexo knight shield tiles, really allowed a lot of customizing, and the villain shields didn't look that crazy futuristic. Some of my favorites are the dragon heads, animals and weapons. I wouldn't mind a return of such system, maybe a bit more "Classic Castle" style, without a scannable QR code, advantage of tiles being seperate from the shields, the tiles can be used as banners/wall ornaments as well. It doesn't even need to be a shield holder, it could be a tile that fits on some holder piece that already exists. -
Definately a good comparison, also looks like a smaller version of 70728: Battle for Ninjago City , all 3 sets basicly have a similar style of 2 big doors on a rocky base and similar colors and some reference to dragons above the door

So it looks like they actually did replicate the light from the trailer with a lightbrick : -

Cute builds for sure, while not minifig , I like those type of builds a lot more compared to brickheadz as they are more varied.

LEGO Sci-Fi Ongoing - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion
TeriXeri replied to Lyichir's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
Lunar Space Station potentially has 8 of those : While not the most sci-fi , or classic space color, I think that's still a lot of canopies for a single set, and personally I like the color more then the transparent brown/black. -
A lot of the catalog/product renders have really oversaturated colors this year, like the City crane looking flame yellow instead of bright yellow, the neon yellow looking eye-hurting bright on the fire set renders as well, and the trans-light blue on the 2022 City Space sets looking like in-between light and regular trans-blue. However when you go to the 3d rotating images for sets that are already on lego.com, the colors are a lot more normal/natural. Edit: 02-01-2022 , parts list are out, the Crane is actually flame yellow so correct.

That's what I think, the 3d spinaround picture on the LEGO shop has the best image colors imo. The School building and the Beach Rescue building/quad do have some flame yellow brick accents, compared to the minifig heads/bus/paddles there's a clear difference. -

The render colors on the 2022 set pictures are weird and oversaturated. The crane looks Flame Yellow on the renders, but so do the minifig heads, however it's much closer to normal Bright Yellow on the photo and 3d spinaround picture on the LEGO site. I think it's regular Bright Yellow because it's basicly a remastered version of 1489: Mobile Car Crane -
I use one of those mini brush hose attachment kits for a vacuum cleaner. It looks like a mini garden hose and then has some smaller brush attachments, it vacuums the dust well on studded surfaces by brushing it off and then immediately removing most of it. It doesn't move the dust to another part of the room. Also works with a makeup brush which is still a bit softer but the hose/tube still can get into small areas of a LEGO set. I haven't had an issue with the vacuum force being strong enough to detach parts on a low vacuum setting and the plastic tubes are smaller radius then a 1x1 stud so only the tiniest pieces could even fit in.

It's interesting how Duplo is also changing colors a lot over the last 5 years (in it's basic "town" type sets) , overall lighter colors , and more pastel and moving away from the original green/yellow/blue as dominant colors, and now introducing the neon yellow and turqoise.

With a little better picture, training ground looks a bit more worth for what you get, no crazy colors and mostly very useful building pieces for rocks/castles etc. also the modules can connect via pin holes. The €10 spinners barely have any pieces, so those are a bit underwhelming especially compared to 2019.

If there will be a Cargo Train, a Grain Hopper car could be interesting, a lot of grain is grown in central asia far far away from the sea, grain would be more ecological compared to a coal hopper.

2022 Friends Rumours, Leaks, Information And Discussion
TeriXeri replied to Klaus-Dieter's topic in LEGO Town
There are pin holes on the sides, and the modules look 8 and 16 wide, especially the purple part looks like using a very similar floor to the others, probably stackable on top of the main street. Also I like that not every side wall is a simple 1x6 panel.- 136 replies

LEGO Creator 2022 - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion
TeriXeri replied to TeriXeri's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I like the jet, mainly for parts to build something for minifigs tho, those tiles look interesting on it, and I like darkblue and orange pieces as they fit well with Nexo Knights. The Car and Buggy look like builds where minifig can fit in. The animal and super mech builds look fun as well but I see them more as parts packs, but it's a lot of creativity in smaller sets in this wave, the "mechanical whelp" really has a Warcraft vibe.
