Lloyds Dragon really reminds me of a Dragonspawn general from Warcraft, like a bit too "fat" to fly, but still has a very strong, muscled look to it. Temple doesn't look bad either. The huge combi mecha is the best vehicle set for sure as you get 4 vehicles in 1 + the big mech option as well.

Lego City 2022 Rumours, Leaks, Information And Discussion
TeriXeri replied to Powered by Bricks's topic in LEGO Town
I love the Fire and Police station style even while the buildings aren't huge they have some earlier City / Town feel to it due to the road plates and angled windows. Beach outpost and picnic are very cool as well considering it's City. The Ice Cream truck set is pretty unique for a criminal vehicle, especially the figures. Moon Base is amazing for sure. I think not all is terrible in terms of pricing however, especially the €10-€30 segment. -

I think this police station is one of the better recent time, at least compared to Sky Police and 2020 this is more my style , also comes at a lower price point. I don't have a Police Station as I started collecting City around 2019 and this is the first set that's nice to me (in a 3-in-1 layout) Buildings aren't big but still feels more complete then those others. I also love the neon color compared to the old yellow. Of course opinions are opinions -

City Moonbase surpasses expectations, and the space torsos from the Build to Launch are used -
My wish seems to have come true, the 2022 Police vehicles having a neon yellow stripe , and the medical vehicles are partly neon yellow and turqoise.

Love the Hospital, but I'm also impressed with that Police Station for that price with 2 vehicles. Mobile command has some humour in it, eggs and a new Egg-splat piece, and 2022 Police using NEON yellow stripe on the building/vehicles Moon Base is the best by far, simply brilliant. Also the age rating moved away from 5+, so far the looks of the sets confirm that, and they look great. -

31129 Tiger looks impressive, lots of detail and moving parts , and the red panda alternate looks cute. -

Looks good for what it is, didn't really expect much more then that, I'm glad it's a different horse color, and a saddle included. I like the show jumping bar, and I think it'll add some play value to the set as as a whole. -

A new train seems likely but probably part of the July-August releases. -
I loved the sleeper car in 4559: Cargo Railway but that set was nowhere near realistic, just a very weird playset hybrid mix of a passenger/cargo train. It's still my only train set however so it has a special place, and the alternate build suggestions on the box/catalog were superb, which still makes me think the concept of a 3-in-1 train could work in theory however I think most LEGO train fans outside of the target age of City would probably rather see a more detailed model.

Set numbers around 404xx - 405xx either are GWP, or a LEGO Exclusive (including LEGOLAND or LEGO House) 40488 was the coffee cart GWP , 40491 is the 2022 Year of the Tiger GWP. 40498 is the seasonal penguin exclusive , 40499 Santa's Sleigh 40501 is the LEGO House LEGO Duck What I mean, is that 40518 set could be anything at this point. -
This is why Ninjago should end
TeriXeri replied to Lego David's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
As much as I'd like to see full classic wave of sets on Pirates/Space/Castle, I still see ninjago doing original things, like Game World, pseudo Islanders, Dungeons and Dragons, and Aquazone type of sets, that likely simply would not have existed as main themes or single waves. It's easier for LEGO to keep those niche type of scenarios under the Ninjago theme, as we've seen recent themes that aren't succesful disappear quickly, recent examples being the last waves of LEGO Movie 2, Hidden Side, Vidiyo etc. In a time where movies/series/video games constantly get Remake/Remaster instead of getting new concepts I still think Ninjago gives its unique take on the recent subthemes, I know Legacy basicly was all about remakes of old sets but that's changing for 2022. A team of the same minifig characters might get repetitive but it's clearly some formula that works most of the time, see Chima, Nexo, Friends, and now Monkie Kid as the new team-based theme, not to mention how many Harry and Luke figures are made for HP and SW. Also just because we see ninjago for 10 years, that also means 10 years of new kids getting to age 4-6 getting their first ninjago LEGO sets. I think Ninjago still does a great job on the sets that aren't vehicles, in fact somewhat better then Nexo Knights in many seasons, Nexo had 2 great castle sets (+ a mobile castle) but even more focus on vehicles compared to Ninjago. I don't even watch the show/movie, I base this purely on the LEGO products. Even if Ninjago would end, I don't think LEGO would return to it's old ways. All said, 2022 still looks like an interesting year of LEGO Space with multiple themes going for it. -

2005 fenrir doesn't look good at all and is mostly technic/clips + special head, so definately won't look like that. I can still see something like a creature opponent made from small ball joints, assuming the serpent uses those. Probably would use plates and slopes from the boat for the most part, and if the serpent is green, maybe it would use the green parts for terrain or a tree, if sails are white it could be snowy ground. Creator 3-in-1 uses a lot of basic pieces, so I don't expect a non-blocky build, but LEGO still did a good job for things like the horse from the Pirate Ship alternate build. For a brick built wolf monster I'd think of something like this type of creator style at a different scale/proportions : 30578: German Shepherd 31098: Outback Cabin had a brick built wolf closer to minifig dog/wolf scale, which would be too small as a fenrir but still shows it can have 4 legs, moving head/tail at a very small scale. -
LEGO Creator 2021 - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion
TeriXeri replied to Digger of Bricks's topic in Special LEGO Themes
If they keep it Viking themed, maybe one set will have a smaller boat + dockside build, and the other build perhaps a fort wall or catapult type play build with some monster like Fenrir ? LEGO has done a Fenris Wolf twice in LEGO , back in 2005 Vikings and 2017 Thor, and I doubt they'll do a nithogg/dragon when there's a dragon/wyvern creature in the 3-in-1 Castle. -
I never said replace the color entirely, just would be nice to see some neon yellow stripe on the 2022 vehicles. Fire Helmets will be Neon Yellow in 2022. Neon Yellow is used a lot in European vehicle designs, especially newer ones. Germany : Sweden: UK: Netherlands Ambulance : UK Fire Truck : Denmark Fire Truck :

I'm most excited for the Appartments, sounds like it will fit really well into a 3-in-1 scale layout, especially if it ends up using 8x16 scale for each floor and I don't mind open back buildings. Of course Street food sounds great too, seems like a lot of Asian food shops making it into themes in 2022, 3-in-1, Friends, Monkie Kid etc.- 136 replies

I saw the color and love it, I do hope that City replaces it's light yellow with the neon yellow for the stripe on the vehicles, or at the very least that the color becomes common enough.

Viking Ship , Submarine, and Noodle Shop were listed as sets for 3-in-1, but without price/piece counts or March release dates, so I assume June at the earliest. Both 31097: Townhouse Pet Shop & Café and 31105: Townhouse Toy Store are retiring, so I assume that Noodle shop will be about the size of 31097.

I'd prefer a wave of actual smaller sets over 1 big big big LOTR set, just some things you can't do with just 1 set, especially if it's going to be focused on the show, which might have 5 seasons. They can of course do a big set of the original movies to the side at some point (sets like Daily Bugle and Ninjago Gardens had ~20 figs), maybe inbetween seasons or if the show ends up very popular, a big set that has good figs+display value could still be the way to get adult fans of LOTR or just the movies into LEGO.

The set with the 3 smaller models shows the new stud shooter shooting a 1x1 tile, I like that it can shoot both studs and tiles, gives a good reason for redesign. (the 3-tile-shooter-flick-fire shooter introduced with City Fire 2019 wasn't great) City of Lanterns also makes me even more excited how the 3-in-1 Noodle Shop set will look (summer 2022)

Ok, new sets and better pictures of monkie kid have released, overall for Sci-Fi , I love the Mei Dragon Car, will go really well with the Dragon Horse Jet style. Spaceship seems to use those in red at the sides , so 4 total: Also other interesting pieces like the trans-orange dish at the rear/bottom. 2 of those newer Creator "spyrius" robot heads in the City of Lanterns set. Fire Wheel set has one of those open triangle cockpits from nexo-knights in trans-regular orange this time. Moon Cake Factory set is just a really weird but Space set for sure, rabbits and carrots and Chang'e is the Chinese goddess of the moon as a figure.
