  1. Neon yellow fire helmets for 2022 ? looks awesome. Also is that an ambulance in neon yellow + a greenish color (turquoise or sand green) like the UK ? (wouldn't surprise me because there's a UK police uniform for the police boat set character)
  2. City rocket no doubt will be based on the SLS (Space Launch System), since they use it in their "Build to Launch" LEGO Education videos (2019 was also based on it but now we're 3 years later when those sets release), and has it's first un-crewed launch planned for February 2022. Big question will be if it will include a Crawler platform, but that'd probably be too many parts, I'd rather have a multi-stage rocket instead.
  3. A big launch pad set makes sense, what's a City Space theme without a Rocket (and formerly Space Shuttle). Especially now that the Artemis mission is being pushed by LEGO Eduction with NASA. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Artemis_program I wonder if the Space Station is based off the Gateway hub, so the Rocket Crew can dock, as well as the Lunar Lander that's supposed to be in the Lunar Base. I hope most detail will go into the SLS Rocket design, 2019 rocket was already based on it, but we're 3 years later now, closer to the first real (un-crewed) launch (currently planned for February 12 2022) Launch concept art :
  4. Well there was 1 set of "Underwater Police" with 60277: Police Patrol Boat , even had their own shark logo. I suppose underwater police and crook vehicle was a first for LEGO City at least, does a submarine also count as a "subtheme" (just kidding there) Jokes aside, I know what you meant , Sky Police and the others before it were considered subthemes.
  5. 2019 had the Fire Plane, set with some nice trees and a skunk, I'd like to see a set like that without a huge vehicle.
  6. Yeah it could be nice to see a brick built passenger train model again , instead of yet another TGV/Eurostar/Bullet Train design using a big prefab piece. 7938 from 2010 didn't use a 1 piece canopy but slopes and a windshield, and nowadays there are a lot more pieces to get a smooth look. Maybe something with the newer "boat" windscreen if it still has be a high-speed look, maybe add a solid color of the same part below it for a nose. They can even make it look like a modern variant of 7745. The 2022 Monkie Kid space rocket set also uses some stacked 4 wide windscreens at the sides that I can't tell if they are a new part or not.
  7. I wonder if a 2022 Fire set will use the new stud/tile shooter seen in the new Iron man set. The triple tile shooter was mostly used in Fire 2019, but looks pretty bad with the axle sticking out. The spring loaded 2 wide brick showed up in a spiderman set first, and now was used in fire sets in 2021, and the new fire pieces are pretty cool targets, also looks better in a System set compared to the older Technic cannon, and it allows projectile colors like the older ball shooters. I don't display sets with studs in them, but this new one does look pretty cool variant of the old 2015 one , especially as it seems to fit both studs and tiles, which the old one cannot, also the trigger seems more sturdy against accidental firing but gotta see it in action first. Current one :
  8. It's just things that happened in the past, not trying to say every set has to lead to something, it's 100% speculation with a bit of wishlisting. I could name many sets that didn't lead to anything, like Desert Rally Racer , no City Desert, etc. But anyway, hopefully we'll see the winter 2022 sets soon, I'm thinking too far ahead about summer 2022.
  9. It's more wishful thinking based on patterns of a €10-€20 vehicle appearing 1 year, and then a larger set(s) for summer, which so far happened with things like: 2018 Snowboard helicopter -> 2019 Snow Groomer -> Ski Resort 2019 Diving Yacht -> 2020 Diving subtheme 2020 Safari offroader -> 2021 Safari theme 2020 Stunt Team -> 2021 Stuntz 2021 Tractor -> 2022 Horse Transporter > 2022 ? ? ? Summer ? ? ? Nothing confirmed at all, but now that Police went more "normal" again instead of Swamp/Forest/Mountain Police etc, there seems to be more room for outdoorsy City subthemes like the 2020 Diving and 2021 Safari.
  10. Looks like a new stud/tile shooter on the iron man mech arm, one that can fit both tiles and studs.
  11. Evo might be a way for LEGO to shift some larger set size just to Seasons, instead of re-releasing large legacy sets and filling shelves with large sets only.
  12. I assume so, maybe they did the renaming so they can have some more design freedom, in terms of size and what villains are included as the description all seem to say scaled down and snakes included. 2021 legacy has a mix of all sorts of villains as the sets they are based on come from different seasons.
  13. Evo seems to be a new type of Legacy, smaller scaled down versions of older sets, or set concepts. I think the EVO rebranding is probably done so they can include villains from the current year, all the EVO sets have 1-2 snakes included.
  14. If really lucky, it's 2 horses, a foal and 2 people in horseriding clothes, and maybe some haybales or fences / jumping bar , but to me a recolored foal would seem more likely in a bigger farm set (if it's a summer theme) If it's 2 horses, it's probably a Brown one and a Tan one as those were the last in production , but if white or black horse comes back via a City set I like that as well, or maybe a new color + print.
  15. I still look forward to see how the Dojo Temple (january), and Training Center (march) will look , as the sets combine and you get a full set of ninja + wu with those 2 sets.
  16. Moon Warrior is like LEGO's version of a World of Warcraft Night Elf , even the purple shield with white moon, and scale/padded armor. I know it doesn't have elf ears, or the more common purple skin tone, but the idea still seems similar, yet different enough, which isn't a bad thing.
  17. Moon Warrior really reminds me the most of World of Warcraft nightelves faction, especially the shield, hair color, and padded armor.
  18. The Dockside Fire set did help the 2019 station a bit, as the dock connected to it at either the side or the front (grey technic bricks at the dock with pin holes) , so yes I agree expandable sets are nice, I'd like to see more of that with the Road plates. +
  19. 40462: Valentine's Brown Bear. After 3 year of seasonal Brickheadz I think those 2021 Seasonals are a nice change. (my only ever Brickheadz I do have is the Ghost) I do hope 2022 will have some seasonal minifig sets again as it's been 5 years since 2017.
  20. Well, there's the LEGO mosaic set with the Classic Spaceman, but yes, I hope this is more then just a "tease". LEGO using a regular blue spaceman instead of benny seems like a good sign that this isn't LEGO Movie related. Also while Bionicle had the most votes in terms of that 90th anniversary vote , I don't think it's really iconic enough for something like a 90th anniversary (and 64 years of the LEGO "Brick") , not trying to insult bionicle fans here. Classic Space got a clear second in that vote, and the 3rd place vote Pirates got a big homage to 1989 Pirates with the Barracuda Bay. Even the 60th anniversary sets in 2018 had some reference to Classic Space :
  21. I'd like to see how LEGO will design both the smaller budget (€60) Fire Station and Police Station for 2022 , I actually loved the 2019 Fire Station size.
  22. Sand green for grass really makes me think of Minecraft , Taiga/Mountain biomes (soon to have different names in 1.18, but anyway, cold grass)
  23. 3-in-1 Castle is a very good build by itself imo, I can see how there are still knights vs opponents, just not in the traditional sense of knight vs knight. Of course people can put the included extra armor/sword/shield on the skeleton and have him fight, or knight vs dragon, or even skeleton+trebuchet vs Tower in the alternate build, but since it has been such a long time since the last regular Castle theme (2014 if we count the minifig pack / LEGO Movie 70806: Castle Cavalry) I think people expected more. However if we count Nexo and Ninjago Season 13 as Castle waves, it's actually not that terribly long ago, I suppose it's a matter of perspective. Also let's not forget Season 13 Ninjago is still being sold until the end of this year. What I do hope however, is that 3-in-1 gets some smaller Castle / Pirate / Viking themed set so it's not just limited to 1 a year, the €10 Cyber Drone set was pretty cool and had a unique figure for sci-fi / Space, I think the €30 segment is about right for a small building/boat 3-in-1 with 2-3 figs. Big question will be, if 3-in-1 are one-off opportunities to go with the IDEAS sets (Pirates/Castle), or long-term plans for the theme.
  24. Type in the set number in the search.
  25. 71712 and the Prime Empire sets officially retired August 2021. also says "Sold Out" at lego.com instead of "Temporarily out of stock" , sets are sold by other shops for a bit longer sometimes but I wouldn't wait too long. The Skull Sorcerer sets are retiring at the end of this year. Tournament of Elements isn't on a retiring list for 2021.
