  1. 41709 is a great beach set, maybe a bit modern compared to the 2021 set but looks compatible with the big friends street set, need to see interior to see if it can compare somewhat to Livi pop star house.
  2. All we know about the 90th anniversary vote are the results itself I don't think Castle or Pirates are likely with the recent combo of IDEAS/3-in-1 sets and since 3-in-1 hasn't had a big Space set yet (this year has Vikings) , and a revival of classic space merchandise etc, it seems likely to have a Classic Space set of sorts , even while Monkie Kid and City will go space as well this year, but I see it like this : If LEGO can attract new people or returning people into LEGO via some very special Classic Space set, some will certainly buy those other space sets. Bionicle however I do recognize the fans got nothing at all for a few years now while Space still had 2 LEGO Movies etc, while I personally still think it's unlikely.
  3. LEGO did that on an alternate Bank build for 31097: Townhouse Pet Shop & Café but that's not a modular, on true modular scale it could be even better for sure.
  4. It was meant as an ice cream piece all along
  5. Maybe next year could have a City pet clinic, this year seems heavily Dog/Cat "care" focused in Friends, with an outdoor pet park and an indoor pet playground coming up (unrevealed sets but in catalog), alongside the 4+ pet clinic. However, I still think there could easily be more cats and dogs in other city sets this year, It's been some years for minifig cats to show up again in non-mohawk or nion-licernsed sets, but I do hope more adult cats in sets , as 2022 has a lot of kittens but just 1 regular cat.
  6. New Polybag pictures from Brickset : 30585: Fire Patrol Vehicle 30587: Police Robot Unit 30589: Go-Kart
  7. I'm interested to see how the lander capsule cockpit will look on top of the rocket set, should be fairly easy to switch the dark orange cone with the white/transparent capsule parts. It'll probably look silly with the even shorter fuel tank, but it's never going to be at minifig scale anyway, SLS rocket would have to be like 2 meter tall for that.
  8. I still like this rocket a lot, you can replace the fuel tank cone with one of the transparent versions from the Moon base or space station if you want a person capsule with window that might look a bit more weird, but it's going to be a toy version of Artemis mission either way. Maybe LEGO will do a microscale Saturn V scale set of SLS later if the mission is succesful. Currently there are 4 nasa big display models on the market right now : ISS, Lunar Lander, Space Shuttle Discovery and the re-release of Saturn V Real life SLS rocket size is 322 feet / 98 meters tall which even in minifig scale would be still 2 over meters tall.
  9. I think it's probably a shop + 1 floor building above it like the 2020 Toy Shop, as so far the rumoured price is €45.
  10. Just noticed that the monkie kid fig in 80035: Monkie Kid's Galactic Explorer has a "benny" alternate big mouth smiling face expression when piloting the ship in one of the images, that's awesome.
  11. A catalog picture of a Classic set 11018 has a microbuild of a viking ship with some gold accents, and red/white sail and red/white/green shields (round 2x2 plates). Perhaps a preview of the 3-in-1 viking ship colors (green makes a lot of sense for alternate builds)
  12. Just saw that the Creator Beijng Postcard suggests both the tuk tuk and new train so certainly part of some "tourism" series of sets. (the NY set suggests the taxi) I don't think this will affect a Creator expert train much if at all.
  13. There are 2 "Postcard" sets for 2022 that somewhat resemble Architecture skyline at a smaller scale. They are boxed under the Creator theme however. 40519: New York Postcard 40520: Beijing Postcard Creator makes sense since they suggest the other recent Creator sets like the taxi , tuk tuk and train on the back as related vehicles for said postcard locations.
  14. Yeah, I can see LEGO added those supports first for just placing it on the ground (display) by itself.
  15. I don't have the 2019 rockets but those modules should also be compatible then, as do the 2022 rocket parts. New for 2022 are the rocket top/cockpit ends which should still fit as well.
  16. Yeah but there was a suggestion that the moon base airlock can lift upwards to the rover airlock height, that picture is just not part of the official ones but is shown on the instructions app.
  17. Looking at the space station, it has those yellow/black supports under it, I wonder if that means it can be connected to the moon base and used as a surface build instead (as display) Moon base set was suggested to connect to rover via air lock, not sure if the space station airlock is 100% the same, if it uses the octagonal part from 2019 it should be all compatible.
  18. I think it's time for a new topic as march catalog pictures starting to appear. January 2022: 31129 Majestic Tiger 755 pieces €49,99 - Alternate builds : Red Panda - Koi Carp March 2022: 31123 Off-road Buggy 160 pieces €14,99 - Alternate builds : Front End Loader - Truck/Quad ? 31124 Super Mech 159 pieces €9,99 - Alternate builds : Jet - Mechanical Dragon ? 31125 Mythical Forest Creatures 175 pieces €14,99 - Alternate builds : Deer+Rabbit - Squirrel 31126 Supersonic Jet 215 pieces €19,99 - Alternate builds : Helicopter - Race Boat 31127 Street Car 258 pieces €19,99 - Alternate builds : Formula 1 - Hot Rod 31128 Dolphin and Turtle 137 pieces €9,99 - Alternate builds : Sea Horse - Fish Later this year : 31130 Submarine 31131 Noodle Shop 31132 Viking Longship and Serpent Other Creator sets (not 3-in-1) 40518 High-Speed Train 284 pieces £17.99 / $19.99 / €19.99 40519 New York Postcard 253 pieces £13.49 / $14.99 / €14.99 40520 Beijing Postcard 280 pieces £13.49 / $14.99 / €14.99
  19. Space Station is lovely , hope it's easy to connect to the 2019 version. Also interesting to see a lot of those large triangle slope pieces being used lately in sets, formerly mainly just used on Imperial shuttles and such, now seen in other themes a lot more.
  20. I like the training ground , looks small on the picture but I think it's a matter of perspective as the foreground figs look huge compared to that tree/gate, but I think it'll be a good fit for the Temple, as it completes the team of ninja with no duplicates and adds some area to the set. Mostly tan ground, grey/darkgrey rocks and brown wood are good colors for modifications as well. It has a slide but I think it being brown doesn't detract as much from the overall look.
  21. From that perspective , I agree, I just have no personal connection with bionicle as all of it was during my no LEGO period, I had almost all Slizers as my last sets around 1999-2001, and the instructions of a combined mega build out of multiple Slizer was great and I can see how Bionicle/Hero Factory and the other CCBS allowed much more beyond that. I can understand CCBS being part of LEGO history for quite a long time, and could even be someone's main/only LEGO experience as there were MANY sets. I don't want to come across as selfish, if the 90th anniversary set is something bionicle and well done I'd certainly be interested in it. Space gets some interesting things this year as well, City Space sets weren't revealed at the time I last wrote that , and we got more pictures of the Monkie Kid Spaceship + Moon Cake set as well.
  22. That Spider-man car is one of the few 4+ pre-fab chassis I actually like, a lot less blocky compared to the older chassis with fenders.
  23. Still no sign of the other 3-in-1 sets, but since they are March releases, it kind of makes sense as sets like the ninjago or 2 of the City Space march sets aren't revealed either. The only new thing I noticed is a rumoured price for the 31131 Noodle Shop at €44,99, release date isn't in March for this set however (Probably june) With only 1 known set being the Tiger, so far I don't think a 2022 thread is needed until the march sets have pictures.
  24. I like that Pink Elf and the Pig Farmer/Cowboy, and "mrs. Santa"/Christmas Dress lady as well.
