  1. Transparent bright green bolt shooter could be integrated into some fantasy build, green fire/poison/magic whatever you make it. (2021 Fire sets had the water/ice trans lightblue)
  2. Not City per se, but that Monkie Kid City of Lanterns set will fit really well into a City, especially with the alternate suggestion of having a row of buildings in a street without the monorail.
  3. I love how the City of Lanterns is built on seperate modules so you can make this street layout, will work very well with 3-in-1 scale, or City Road plates.
  4. This, not to rain negativity on the CMF fan parade , but I can understand them being random, and boxes put both online and in-store on the same level with no cheat.
  5. City of Lanterns is fantastic and I sure love the Mei Dragon Car. Mei Vehicles like the 2021 jet and the 2022 appeal to me as they capture some sci-fi style that attracted me back into LEGO via Nexo, and this color scheme is just nice , getting 2 red monkeys is cool as well, they fit right in with jestro's lava monster as well as monkie kid. Neon Yellow parts and the green dragon shooter are also
  6. So far no particular theme , Snakes as enemies and sets being either a Combination Mech for Kai,Zane,Cole,Jay, and Lloyd gets a new Green Dragon. Dojo Temple + Ninja Training Center as the main locations, and can connect, and will have all ninja+wu if you get both sets. Also 3 small spinner training sets for kai, lloyd, jay. Other sets are those Evo sets, which also have Snakes.
  7. CMF should be overhauled as it's not very online retail friendly. Bags, Boxes, no different when they aren't even sold in any stores here. I guess boxes at least put Retail on the same level of "blind" as Online for non-secondary market sales. Also Boxes can be cardboard and promote more recent LEGO's packaging policy. Still, doesn't take away that random just isn't fun to me.
  8. Moon Cake Factory sounds fun, and if Mei's Dragon Car uses more white + trans-bright-green , that'd be nice. (Dragon Horse Jet is my only MK set, which I think is the best non-licensed sci-fi set of 2021 as well) City of Lanterns could be nice too if it focuses on location instead of vehicles (like the Flower Fruit Mountain shows they can do big locations without vehicle)
  9. Some game companies do official little teasers work on the hype, but of course, a game is typically easier to keep under wraps compared to a retail product. That said, as much as knowing LEGO sets details early might be nice for a customer to know, I think it might hurt end of year sales. Especially in a time where a record number of current sets, even sets not planning to retire are out of stock, USA had major problems 1 year ago due to the Mexico factory, but now Europe is affected as well which has multiple factories. Still I think we should be happy LEGO is still planning to have so many sets for the new year, despite the world having so many logistic issues like container costs have risen a lot.
  10. There was no reveal , but Classic Space was the 2nd in that vote behind Bionicle, and its just my personal opinion that Bionicle isn't iconic enough for a 90th anniversary, however Bionicle is not forgotten as there have been stickers in sets with Bionicle references, so maybe I'm wrong, but I personally see LEGO Bricks more iconic instead of CCBS that didn't exist for at least the first 50 years of LEGO bricks (1949-1999, 1999 was when Slizers appeared, which were the first ancestors of the Bionicle system imo) I mean, LEGO had CCBS up to 2018 with the buildable figures, so it's still about 20 years of LEGO history, 15 of which Bionicle, which is still notable for sure. Chima had a CCBS line, just before the reboot of bionicle, I'm not sure how those reboot Bionicles sold, or the Star Wars buildable figures up toward 2018, but 2014-2016 seems to have been some turnaround point for LEGO, after that a lot of sets started to use mixel joints, Nexo Knight battle suits carried their legacy somewhat with the smaller Marvel Mechs nowadays as well. I know a few sets aren't enough to set a trend but the recent sets seem to signal a preference to brick based action figures. it still has the legacy of CCBS and mixels in terms of ball joints but the bulk are bricks/plates/tiles. Just a note, I have nothing against Bionicle or it's fans, I was a big Slizer collector before I had a 15 year break of LEGO so I never got into Bionicle itself.
  11. Oh ok, I guess I misunderstood it then, all good. Makes sense to think it would replace another set for yet another calendar that really doesn't fit in the Ninjago theme to begin with (Chinese new year sets also cover winter , especially the upcoming 2022 Ice Festival , could easily be turned into a "Ninjago Christmas" scene by replacing figs with Ninjago parts, and decorating the tree in that set, a specific Ninjago set like that would be too niche)
  12. I don't see Licensed sets as alternatives to Castle/Pirates/Space themes either. In my opinion best non licensed sci-fi set of 2021 is 80020: White Dragon Horse Jet. As for other sets that might have potential 2022 : - Ninjago "power ranger" type mech that splits in multiple vehicles. - Monkie Kid sets we haven't seen , who knows that Rocket set is actual part of going somewhere into space like a Base ? - Possible Classic Space logos on City 2022 space outfits. - 2023-2024 would be higher chance for anything Space via 3-in-1 as some current sets would retire - And as discussed before there's still the 90th anniversary set (sorry bionicle fans, I don't think CCBS represents 90 year of LEGO as well as Classic Space which got #2 in that vote), and also remember LEGO did pick the orange spacemen as their figure for their last Visual Guide, and the latest CMF has a purple Classic Space Torso + all that Target Merch doesn't seem that random anymore. Or is LEGO just teasing so much?? I know nothing of this is a replacement for a full Castle/Pirate/Space theme , unless LEGO decides to do more then just 1 set for their 90th anniversary, I don't think 2022 will have more then this. Maybe the upcoming Moon Landing (currently delayed to 2025), and the new James Webb Telescope could have some renewed interest in Space, alongside sales numbers of all the above stuff. I have no doubt that the Space Shuttle might've been one of the big inspirations of the Classic Space theme, and at the same time , the late 70s also had the first Star Wars and Star Trek movies, and currently we might be in a second type of Space Race to the moon in the coming decade.
  13. Monkie Kid going to Space, Friends getting a Space Academy set, City going to the Moon, and then the possibility of something 90th anniversary as well, 2022 has some sci-fi potential.
  14. There are like 10 themes I don't buy, and I don't say things like that about them... (or is it a case of Fear of Missing Out certain figures?, which I can understand in a team based theme, and things like the spread of the golden figures for 2021) I can understand Ninjago being asian themed , it also fits in quite well with the Chinese New Years sets, so I won't really complain about Ninjago not getting anything christmas related, and with 5 advent calendars currently , a 6th one might be a bit much.
  15. For a theme that runs so long, it still surprises me there never was a Ninjago Advent Calendar, would be a perfect cool chance to get like a special casual christmas sweater version of each ninja + a Santa Wu.
  16. I hope one day LEGO does a set like the 2015 3-in-1 Changing seasons again, but a bit larger, I know Santa's Visit and other WV sets can of course be modded to summer/fall with other pieces, but the 3-in-1 dynamic is just even more interesting to me. The 3-in-1 Pirate ship had a lot of the alternate build colors really nicely hidden or used as small details, so a change from a summer to fall/winter shouldn't be that difficult in a larger set.
  17. While not the typical modulars, I still like to see a return to some more 3-in-1 buildings, that could possibly have multiple floors etc that could be re-arranged. Noodle Shop still sounds interesting for the next 3-in-1 town set for 2022 however, and could have some fun build techniques as 3-in-1 rarely uses stickers. Also the 2022 Friends theme has a big set coming up with 3 buildings with 2-3 floors each (I mean LEGO friends, not the TV show).
  18. Those look great, the trio of themes were done as minis in the 60th anniversary sets (both the Gift with Purchase, and the 2018 Classic sets had a Pirate Ship, Castle & Classic Spaceship), but those are just a lot better and could even be sets imo.
  19. Hopefully Tiger 3-in-1 set gets revealed soon, it's the only january 3-in-1 release (which makes sense for Chinese New Year, Year of the Tiger)
  20. What I meant with the "Ambulance" was something like the vehicle from this set but in neon yellow with some sort of sandgreen/turquoise. In the ski resort, the medical SUV vehicle was 2-tone yellow and red. Medical SUV exist in real life too, even while they aren't the typical "Ambulance" to carry patients , the word ambulance is still written on it. Second option could be an off road vehicle from the Beach Rescue base. The last option would be a new fire chief truck, as there might be a ladder on top, and there seems to be a bar on the front as well which doesn't really fit an ambulance , also the size / wheels seem the most similar to this previous fire chief truck : Duke Detain got multiple cars in sets, Freya only got 1 official Fire Chief car.
  21. New road plates would be good for a station platform, if they put some parts under it and some good ramps , like the older stations, those road plates have antistuds under them after all.
  22. Even before all the "problems" at Blizzard, Overwatch 2 was delayed multiple times, never had a release date, and the game director had left, since then, multiple other devs have left as well. That Titan was supposed to be based on those white/grey mechs from the 2019 Overwatch 2 Trailer , so makes little sense to release before the actual game (especially as many characters were still missing as well) , also Overwatch 1 is multiplayer PvP focused, and I believe that Titan would be new PvE (player vs AI controlled boss) content. Null Sector Titan (from cinematic announcement trailer 2019) : There were more sets, no idea if that Orisa & Efi set will ever come , it was listed on amazon as 76978 - 215 pieces , age 9+
  23. While I don't expect Friends to go actually into space this next year (2022) yet, it could still be a set up for it in some further year, watching those Build to Launch video series from LEGO Education, there is a lot of promotion for woman that got into Nasa tech jobs, including leadership positions (real people, not just the LEGO Space Team minifigs), and also the goal toward the 1st woman on the moon is repeatedly said there. Something like a minidoll version of elements of those sets, test rocket launch, G force machine and maybe a simulator, from the Space Port 1999 Town. Also would be pretty cool if Friends had something like an Observatory / Planetarium type of set, or a Lab for samples.
  24. Warcraft could really fit a lot of types of sets, from Castle, Pirates, to Adventure, to Steampunk to Sci-Fi, or even Horror/Undead/Skeletons/Dragons etc for monsters, and it's the same company as Overwatch. However, there's the CMF 22 Moon Warrior which looks very close to what could be a minifig of a Warcraft Night Elf (minus elf ears) .
  25. Seems likely. Also some 2022 City memory cards showed up, with what looked like neon yellow fire helmets, and a vehicle with a neon yellow upper half (I assume european color styled ambulance)
