The Dalmatian, the police dog (German Shepard) and the dog from the Pet Shop and Winter Village Post Office are the same mold. But they have different IDs in LEGO's database because they have different printing. Add me to the list of people who want to see LEGO do a sheep (preferably in something cheap enough that I can get myself a whole flock :)

Lego themes that we would like to happen
jonwil replied to YellowCorvette's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Stargate is totally the wrong brand fit for LEGO. Its got a lot of violence (some of it fairly graphic from memory). Plus it has some themes that dont fit well with LEGO (like the whole slavery thing and possibly all that god worship) Heck, the climax of the movie ends with the bad guy being blown up with a nuclear bomb. And it would fall foul of the LEGO prohibition on making "modern military" stuff (the main characters in Stargate are military officers who wander around carrying assault rifles). Even Indiana Jones doesn't have any "modern military" stuff (its all WW2 or soon-after-WW2 stuff)- 451 replies

The specific sets in question say "comming December 26" I believe (shop @ Home is giving me issues so I cant verify it right now)
-
In regards to Cartoon Network stuff like Ben 10 or Adventure Time or whatever, I just cant see that any of it is popular enough to be worthwhile for Dimensions other than as in-game content (ala the hidden Flintstones and Jetsons areas) Not 100% sure but I believe someone other than Warner Bros owns some sort of rights in Ben 10 (so LEGO would need to acquire those rights as well).

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 15 Rumors and Discussion
jonwil replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Am I the only one who thinks the helmet on the golden guy work as a helmet for Thor? (especially if TLG was to make it in silver -
Star Wars and anything Marvel will never happen, both universes are exclusive to Disney Infinity. Mario and anything Nintendo is right out as well. Big Bang Theory may not be the right fit for Dimensions Most of the others are too niche to be viable or are owned by companies LEGO has no relationship with The ones I could actually see happening are: Harry Potter (makes a lot of sense for various reasons) Flintstones (maybe just a pack with Fred and the car) LEGO dimensions specific figures Historical stuff (ala LEGO Movie)

Instructions for a few of the new Creator sets are now available and its confirmed that the Ocean Explorer contains 2 of the blue inverted slopes. YAY.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 15 Rumors and Discussion

Loving the Janitor, Farmer (very nice hat), Astronaut and maybe the animal control officer. The guy with the crutches is also potentially useful if I ever do anything medical again. -
I used the movie poster stickers from the 10184 Town Plan cinema as ads on bus stops before , they work great for that.

Can anyone tell what color the bars in the prison island set are? They look like either black or titanium metallic (aka perl dark grey) but its hard to tell. Whatever they are, they are different to the light bley previous police stations used (which is very good :)
-
The new prison island is nice, we haven't had a proper jail in LEGO before (just police stations with cells in them)
-
Its hard to tell from the pictures we have so far but it looks to me like the ocean explorer comes with the 1 x 2 inverted slope in dark blue. If so, YES YES YES, I need a bunch of those for MOC projects :)

I own all of the sets form the "NASA Discovery" line (including the larger "UCS" lunar module and the Technic mars rover) and I would love to add this Apollo rocket ship to my collection. I recon it might be a bit big for LEGO Ideas though, just looking at the piece count for it. If I thought it had any chance of reaching 10k (and getting approved if it did), I would dig out my own Ideas idea and actually submit it to the site (its an idea for a set that can build 1 of n different styles of 6-wide City car at any given time ala the x-in-one Creator sets) I would also consider submitting my bus designs as well but all that would do is make it just that much harder for every other bus design on the site...

Fire car is ok, good to see the 1 x 4 x 3 window in dk bley, I need more of those. Fire hovercraft set looks interesting, that looks like trans-orange 1 x 1 round with hole on the fire piece. Rally car is great with the already-mentioned white wheels. The 4 x 4 looks like a great cheaper option for obtaining the full set of tools and the torsos and stickered parts look good for giving variety to Octan MOCs. The air ambulance plane is a great idea, we haven't had one of those in a while (just one limited-release promotional set). Its a bit big IMO but that's just how LEGO does City airplanes these days (plus the size is necessary to give it the playability the set needs) The recycle truck is good, orange is a great color and the design (with the lifting fork at the front) is great. The prison starter set is only really good for the new torsos. I like the design of the cop car in the police chase set and its got more of those cool wheels although I would love to know why LEGO makes the bad guy cars in so many police sets in dark red...

Can anyone tell me if the Brick Bank includes any minifig elements in colors or prints that haven't been seen before? (i.e. that are new for 2016 or new for this set)

In regards to the Corvette, how recognizable is it in Europe? And how recognizable are the older models (as compared to the newer models) Its quite possible LEGO are doing a larger size Corvette but a new one not the old one in the Ideas project (so the 2 projects would conflict but its harder to argue that TLG ripped off the Ideas project)

Looking at whats in review, the 2 LOTR projects are out (both are too big and from a theme where LEGO has business case information to show that the theme doesn't sell). Caterham Super 7 is even less well known than the Corvette was (how many normal people will know what a Caterham is?) Indomius Rex is just like the T-Rex from last time (too big, too flimsy) with the added factor of the Jurassic World license Modular Library is probably too big for an Ideas set (regardless of the questions over whether it would sell there is the simple factor of how much of the production capacity they can allocate to Ideas and what that means for size limitations) I could see LEGO doing a large size Mr Staypuft in the future but not as big as Brett's design and not via Ideas (for the same reasons the GB HQ isn't an Ideas set) Physics is probably too big for an Ideas set and probably wouldn't sell all that well. Little Price is cool but probably not popular enough to be worth the effort and costs of licensing it. (although I do wish I could track down a copy of the somewhat recent 3D rendered cartoon of the series so I could watch all the episodes I didn't catch when it was on TV) Adventure Time is a popular show but popularity on TV doesn't always mean it is viable for a toy line or even a one-off. Plus Warner Bros/Cartoon Network may not be happy with brick built figs. Best chance to actually get made is the F7A Hornet IMO. I suspect LEGO has already said "yes" to the "will it sell" question and is either still in licensing negotiations with Cloud Imperium Games over a license for it or are waiting for the final game to show up to make sure its a good brand fit (imagine what might happen if LEGO released the set and then the final game earned a "mature" rating for example) As for the stuff that's at 10k but not in the review, the Land Cruiser has the same problems as the Land Rover, Corvette and Caterham (including size). Jurassic Park vehicle has the same license issues as other JP projects. And I don't see either sub passing the "will it sell to the target audience test" (Jules Verne sub is also too big and anything Beetles can be a nightmare for licensing)

Would it be wrong to label Nexo Knights as "cyberpunk"?
