  1. Maybe he got to see it as part of the "inside tour" (which is one way normal people can get to see inside it)
  2. Seen fairly reliable evidence from another forum that the Temple of Airjitzu will be comming to local retail at some point in the future (no information on who or when, just that it will be comming apparently. So dont necessarily assume that double VIP is the best deal you can get on it, it may show up at somewhere with 20% off at some point.

In regards to the time-frame of the set, the coffee machine behind the desk looks like an espresso machine. Not sure when those started to come into common use.
  4. If LEGO does more BBT sets I am SO there, its such a cool show. Comic Book Store would be awesome (and through their relationship with WB/DC) a great way to put in a bunch more references to DC comics super heroes and things (they could print some LEGO comic book tiles too)
  5. I wish LEGO would have a proper Space theme, one that goes back to the legendary Space themes of the 80s and early 90s. The Spaceship Spaceship SPACESHIP! is awesome, as is the Exo-Suit but beyond that they haven't done a GOOD space theme in years. Alien Conquest wasn't too bad but its still not as good as the old themes. And with Nexo Knights filling the "Sci-Fi" gap for 2016, it doesn't look like things are going to get better anytime soon :(
  6. Where are you seeing evidence of a new BURP piece?
  7. Of the 3 cars that got to 10k, the Corvette is the one I would buy. Not the LandCruiser or the Caterham. Now if that Cruiser was the pickup variant, it would be different...

I wonder if there is a designer video for this one or not (and if so when we get to see it...)
  9. Hmmm ok, so maybe my comment about Visionaries was wrong then... But if its powered by high tech gear (and everything involves fancy tech and stuff) even cooler (although none of these sets really quality as "cyberpunk")
  10. Anyone here think the LEGO designers may have borrowed ideas from the cartoon Visionaries? I can see some parallels between this line and that show...
  11. The new tooth piece is cool, And are those bananas as ears and a trans-clear dome piece on that one guy with the needle? I could almost see myself buying all 3 of the medical type Mixels, they just look so different and interesting Maybe the drum-kit Mixel too but otherwise, mostly a pass on these.
  12. If the modular is anywhere near as good as the Detective's Office, count me in on a purchase (although I will wait for it to appear locally and on sale as I did with the Detective's Office)
  13. The ATM in the police set is interesting and useful and is that a lime green motorbike? Other than that, nothing here interests me (not like 2015 where the Juniors sets had a bunch of VERY nice printed parts and minifigs)
  14. The jet is interesting and are those dark green wheel arches on the chopper transporter? YES PLEASE!!!!!
  15. That bike looks more like bright-light-orange than yellow to me. Either way its a color of bike that I dont own and I want one (either from this set if I can get it or maybe the one Friends set that has the same bike) The set has some other nice parts like the dk blue benches and the lime green flower pot. Too bad about yet another useless dog :(
  16. I am seeing a few good pieces in there but not enough to make me want to buy any of the sets. The black Mohawk in the set with the giant mechanical horse is cool. The 1 x 1 pyramid parts look useful for greebling on Space projects (or decoration on City buildings) The books might be useful depending on the actual printing they have Not sure where LEGO is going with that pod-racer looking thing though. Some nice fig parts in there too. And I am drooling over various parts in trans-fluro-orange (these pics answer once and for all the question that has been asked, namely that the good guys do indeed get trans-fluro-orange and the bad guys get trans-orange)
  17. Bah, looks to me like that bike is Bright Light Orange or something instead of the yellow I really want. Still good to get a new color of bicycle though. The studio set has a few interesting things in it like that clapperboard and those flags used in the stage lights.
  18. So far the best looking thing of the lot (and the only one going straight onto my must-buy list) is the prison island. I collect police stations and that definatly counts as one in my book... Plus it has some nice looking parts like the red & black hot air balloon, the large black rubber boat and what looks like jail bars in what looks to be dark bley (and not the light bley those parts normally come in) The fire station is worse than the 60004 Fire Station in 2013 (at least that one had the roller-doors and introduced the 1 x 4 x 3 window glass in trans light blue) And have LEGO really started using the 1x1 round gun shooters as fire hoses (in the 2 fire trucks at least)? A couple new interesting looking torsos in the prison island starter set (although I will see if they also appear in the prison island and just how good they actually are before deciding on this set) The cop car in the pursuit set does have the nice looking wheels on it but that's the only good thing I can say about that set (how many times has LEGO given us a dark red bad guy vehicle now?) And we get HOW many helicopters this year? (so far I see 2 police and 1 fire)
  19. Only things I have even the vaguest interest in are the Camero and maybe the F-150 hot rod.
  20. Nexo Knights looks like a cross between NinjaGo and Knights Kingdom 2 but with Space and Sci-Fi elements thrown in. I can see the pieces in the sets being quite useful for people doing things like Warhammer 40k or Starcraft MOCs I bet (like all that chunky space armor, perfect for space marines I bet)
  21. Are there any stickers in the Dr Who set or is it all printed?
  22. Maybe NYCC will be the Ghostbusters Firehouse... As for the Dr Who set, "Shut up and take my money". Wish it could be "Shut up and take my money NOW" but no, LEGO have to not release it until December :( Also in regards to whats included (which clothes, what baddies etc) they need to put SOME things in the Dimensions sets that you cant get anywhere else, otherwise they wont sell as many Dimensions packs. In terms of the Dimensions packs, I am a Who fan but not enough of a Who fan to want to pay $50 (price in my country for level packs) just to get the shirt/pants/face, K-9 print tiles and Tardis print tiles. Same with the Cyberman pack ($25 is too much just to get the Cyberman) But the Ideas set itself, YES PLEASE.
  23. The stories surrounding how the Exo-Suit got made are a great insight into some of that production stuff IMO.
  24. I too hope we get a new interesting color in the next modular. Dark blue, dark green, dark red, any of those would be great as the main color for the building
  25. Nice to see the reviews of the Dimensions packs showing up. Is the BTTF pack worth buying for someone who has no plans to buy/play the game and who already owns the DeLorean Ideas set?
