  1. There seems to be 2 different molds out there. One is the Chimpanzee used in the CMF line (not sure what the official LEGO name of the part is although LEGO does call it a Chimpanzee in the CMF description) and one is the Orangutan used in the Friends line (LEGOs part database calls it a monkey but at least one set calls it an Orangutan)
  2. Its a September release so we should be seeing it in the next month or so depending on when stores actually get their stock. There are rumors that stock levels of the Scooby sets wont be that massive (i.e. the same thing as happened to the Jurassic World sets) so I wouldn't be hanging on too long for a %off sale or something if you really want the sets (especially the mystery machine which is likely to be the top seller)
  3. I want LEGO to do a set in the same general line as the VW Beetle, VW Van and Ferrari F40 but of a Lamborghini. They did 2 sets in the past (a yellow one and a blue police car) and I want more (still kicking myself that I was never able to get the yellow Lambo, got the blue cop car though). I would also like to see a set in the same general line but of a pickup truck (or as us Aussies call em, a Ute) Not something City sized or Speed Champions sized but big like the F40. Has LEGO ever done a pickup truck at a large size before? (oh wait yes they did, I should have remembered it since I own a 4404 Land Busters :)
  4. Very nice building, looks like the sort of building that someone like Robert Moses might have targeted for replacement with one of his expressway plans (whole suburbs full of buildings like this were bulldozed to make way for shiny new expressways under Moses)
  5. Definitely an interesting looking police station that would make a good modular.
  6. Even that actual set picture is far too large to make into a viable set.
  7. Seems like retailers are standing firm on not selling Dimensions stuff before the release date (as opposed to other sets where stores that put them out early by mistake have been known to sell them before the official release)
  8. I think its a fairly safe bet that any Hobbit or LOTR projects that get to 10k wont pass review (no matter what the size).
  9. I too wouldn't bother with Dimensions for Mr Stay Puft if this gets the green light (only for Slimer unless the pack with the Ecto contains something really worth having)
  10. So can someone who knows more than me tell me which version of Slimer LEGO have copied for Dimensions? It doesn't look all that much like the movie slimer but I could be wrong on that...
  11. Great that it made it to 10k. Anyone want to speculate on whether it could be turned into a viable set? Next to Slimer, its gotta be the most recognizable ghost in the entire Ghostbusters universe (probably why it ended up in the Dimensions Fun Pack) and I bet a lot of people would buy one (especially if it added some extra figs as well like Louis and Dana) I for one would definatly buy one (just like I am very much interested in the Dimensions GB sets)
  12. Its been rumored for a while but its now confirmed. Chadstone in Melbourne is getting a "Legoland Discovery Centre" http://www.smh.com.au/business/property/australian-legoland-discovery-centre-to-open-at-chadstone-mall-20150819-gj2r6c.html
  13. As promised before, here is an LXF file of this engine (I forgot to take more photos before taking it apart so the LDD file will have to do) https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B9idqO9KygGseWxkdWdQU3BmTWc/view?usp=sharing The following things are different due to parts I cant find in LDD: 1.The hose nozzles should be this part http://alpha.bricklink.com/pages/clone/catalogitem.page?P=71182 2.The train motor should be this part http://alpha.bricklink.com/pages/clone/catalogitem.page?P=87574c01 3.The black curved pieces on the underside should have the stickers from 60052 cargo train on it 4.The face and torso of the train driver should be from this figure http://alpha.bricklink.com/pages/clone/catalogitem.page?M=trn235 and 5.The brick at the front, doors and side panels need the custom BHP stickers applied. If anyone wants to build their own, the 60052 Cargo Train will give you a large amount of the needed parts. The custom stickers I created are here https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B9idqO9KygGsRS1lbVJMQXk1bEU/view?usp=sharing They are in SVG format (if you need a good program to edit SVG files, I recommend Inkscape which is 100% free) If printed via Inkscape onto a piece of A4 paper (or A4 sticker paper) they should be correctly sized to fit the parts they are meant to go on.
  14. My big bang theory set arrived (no thanks to the incompetent idiots at Australia Post who delivered it to "unit x number y" instead of "unit y number x") and I just finished putting it together. This is easily the best set of 2015 (only set that might challenge it is the Dr Who set once that is revealed)
  15. The town hall has a computer in it so that alone means you cant claim the modulars aren't modern day enough that a video arcade would be out of place.
  16. I think the difference is that Dr Who is an active TV show whereas Back to the Future doesn't have any new content.
  17. Can anyone who knows more about the show than me tell me whether the forks the guys are using to eat chinese food are correct? My memory suggests they are using chopsticks for chinese takeaway rather than forks but I could be wrong.
  18. It may look like a lot of stores but its really only 3 locations, Garden City then Loganholme (which is on the way back from Garden City to my house) then Beenleigh (my local area). Plus, going to LEGO retailers is fun and maybe hell will freeze over and I might end up with some amazing bargain :)
  19. Toys R Us Garden City has Simpsons House, City Space Starter Set, Utillity Shuttle, Training Jet, Deep Sea Starter Set, big divers boat, VW Van, Mini Cooper, new NinjaGo (including the City Of Stix which I think might be exclusive to them), new Star Wars and new Minecraft. No sign of the Deep Sea Operation Base so either its not a TRU exclusive or they haven't gotten any yet. Big W has new NinjaGo, some new Elves/Friends stuff, new Star Wars, the Iron Man Hulkbuster set (which I only mention because I know its hard to come by), all of the new City Space and all of the new City Deep Sea except the Deep Sea Operation Base. No City Square. Target has new NinjaGo, new Elves, new Friends (including the Heartlake Grand Hotel) and a Simpsons House. No new City or Star Wars spotted. MYER has new NinjaGo, a NinjaGo Brickmaster book and nothing else new. K-Mart has new Minecraft, Friends, Elves, basically all the City except the Deep Sea Operation Base (including the City Square), new NinjaGo, new NinjaGo flyers and new Star Wars (including the death star duel) K-Mart Loganholme has new NinjaGo (including the flyers), Minecraft, Star Wars, City (including City Square), Elves and Friends. MYER Loganholme has new NinjaGo (including the flyers), a pair of Opera Houses, new Minecraft, Star Wars, Friends (including the hotel), the City Square, the blue cargo train and some other new City sets. Big W Loganholme has a bunch of new City (including the City Square), NinjaGo (including the flyers), Minecraft, Star Wars and Friends (including the hotel) Big W Beenleigh has NinjaGo (including the flyers), Minecraft and City (including the City Square). No sign anywhere of the Kwik-E-Mart as of yet and no heavy haul train spotted at any of the Big W stores I was able to hit. Got my Space Starter Set but ended up realizing that even at the deep bargain price of $170 something Big W want for the City Square, I just cant afford one :(
  20. Thanks for the info, at least I know its out there now :)
  21. It wont let me send you a message or email through the system (probably because you are still a "new member" and don't have enough posts yet)
  22. Yeah if anyone has seen the new City sets in any Brisbane or Gold Coast Big W stores, please do let me know since I am looking for some :)
  23. Would be good to see the scumbags who rip off other people's IP for profit by selling these bootlegs get the smack down they deserve. Saw a store yesterday (temporary store in a big shopping center) selling a whole pile of bootleg minifigs and sets (including stuff from ShengYuan). If there was somewhere I could report these scumbags to, I would do it since selling these things is totally illegal.
  24. Which Big W did you see the new City sets in?
  25. VERY nice hardware store you got there :)
