  1. Someone posted on another forum that they have seen a retailer price list. That price list showed "Creator Expert Big Ben" with an October date and an Australian RRP of $349.99.
  2. Thanks for the info, I wasn't sure if the set had the one bun or if it came with multiple. Looks like it comes with multiple eggs though :)
  3. Do you only get the one hot dog bun in the Pig City set?
  4. Does anyone know of a way to take a model built in LDD or ldraw and convert it to a .fbx file or a .obj file or some other similar common 3D format?
  5. Some deals on at MYER right now including 20% off Star Wars, City, Friends, Duplo and Nexo Knights. Also discounts on Big Bang Theory, Doctor Who and Batman vs Superman stuff.
  6. Why is it that Green Goblin seems to be the main bad guy in the LEGO Spider-Man sets as of late (he is in the Mighty Micros set, the Juniors set and the big Bridge set later this year plus last year's Duplo set)
  7. As others have said, its LEGO, if you dont like the fire stations LEGO produces, build your own.
  8. All of the instructions for the Dimensions stuff are available on the LEGO website. (including the instructions for all 3 versions of the Dalek build) Visit their building instructions site then select "Dimensions" from the theme dropdown and everything will be there as PDF files.
  9. Does anyone have a high quality scan of the LEGO Coffee Chain logo sticker from the recent City Square set?
  10. There is a http://alpha.bricklink.com/pages/clone/catalogitem.page?P=93566c01pb01 in dark bluish grey comming in one of the Volcano sets later in the year which would work well as a heat suit IMO (although I cant find a good enough picture to tell if it has any printing that would render it unusable)
  11. Midway must have inherited the rights to a bunch of Atari titles at some point, I know quite a few of those are definatly Atari titles (Gauntlet, Marble Madness, Paperboy)
  12. I am highly surprised they green-lit the Caterham given that its not something people who aren't car guys are likely to recognize and given that the VW, Mini AND F40 are still on the market (I am a car guy and watch a lot of Top Gear and even I dont know all that much about the Caterham) It was obvious that Adventure Time would be green-lit as soon as they came up with a way to not need new molds just for an Ideas set. Like the museum before, the modular library was big (even for a modular) plus libraries aren't exactly something people really want to buy models of... Physics is too big and too niche a product. Stay Puft is cool but I doubt they would sell anywhere near as many of the set as they have of the Ecto-1 or the Firehouse (plus they may well have the "its an existing license so that limits what we can do" problem) Indomius Rex is bigger than the T-Rex AND licensed and far too hard to make into a viable set. Both LOTR projects were too big plus LOTR as a theme has been a failure overall. The Little Prince just isn't well known. And we dont know if there were issues obtaining a license for this. It would have been cool to see the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man (and I would have bought one) but I can understand that the existing license, the new film, the larger size and the fact that its not as popular as other things in Ghostbusters means its not viable as a set. As for the next review list, the Jurassic Park explorer has all the problems of other Jurassic Park sets including the size. 2000 Leagues is far too big to be viable. LandCruiser is also too big (plus its a very boring car) Yellow Submarine requires a Beetles license (not exactly the easiest thing in the world to get these days) plus they would find it hard to get a market outside of die-hard Beetles fans. HMS Beagle is too big and not all that well known Concorde is great but the thing doesn't fly anymore and a lot of kids today wouldn't recognize the thing (especially in America where it wasn't as well known as it was in Europe even when it was flying) plus there would be a need to license the name and any airline names used on it). Victorian London is far too big I think the best chance would be the Saturn 5 Rocket. Kids like rockets. Space buffs like rockets. History buffs like Apollo era stuff. I would probably buy one.
  13. Its no different to how LEGO does heads for characters like Chewie in the Star Wars sets. Anyone know the release date for the Slimer pack?
  14. Lets hope that any Sonic world they add to Dimensions is better than the abomination that is Sonic Boom...
  15. I dont think the Kings Mech is available yet (it certainly wasn't at the Garden City TRU the other day when I was there)
  16. I believe the Kings Mech is a TRU exclusive.
  17. Do any of the 1h-2016 City sets include new-for-2016 molds? (i.e. new piece shapes as opposed to just new colors or prints) And if so, which molds are included?
  18. Just found this post when looking for ideas. This (or a modification of it) would be perfect for my police headquarters since so many police forces these days are using drones for all sorts of things...
  19. I managed to acquire the unique lab coat torso from the Research Institute which was the main thing I wanted from the set (only other thing I would want would be the printed star chart and maybe the dinosaur tail bone piece but I dont want either of those badly enough to spend a chunk of change on buying an RI from overseas)
  20. LEGO police stations are great parts packs IMO.
  21. I bought Big Bang Theory because I love the show and love the parts selection. I also own Doctor Who, the Exo-Suit, the Ecto-1 and the DeLorean. I wanted the Research Institute but it went from "not yet available" to "totally sold out" on Shop @ Home for Australia when I was out doing stuff and I was unable to get one :(
  22. If it was a safety recall there would be a lot more noise about it with LEGO acting to get everyone who has purchased the unsafe product to return them ASAP. I am inclined to support the theory that it is some sort of legal issue with one of the figs or a production fault (e.g. wrong pieces ending up in bags or parts being miss-produced) rather than a safety issue. The fact that the sets are still showing up for sale on Shop @ Home for all the countries served from the European warehouse further supports this theory (either a legal issue affecting US supply or a production fault affecting boxes in the US) In any case I bought all the S15 figs I wanted (Animal Control, 2x Janitor, Jewel Thief, Farmer, 3x Astronaut, Clumsy Guy) already so I dont need to worry about this even if it does end up affecting Australia (although now that I think about it, the helmet on the golden wing guy might be a nice Thor helmet...) Oh and I have never received an incorrect, missing, broken or bogus part in any of my CMFs (although I did loose the dark brown aviator cap from the S3 pilot somewhere between buying it and getting it into my collection :( )
  23. There are rumors suggesting Teen Titans packs comming later.
  24. The deal that lead to the LEGO games appearing on GoG came about as part of a broader deal between GoG and Warner Bros/TT Games/etc where Warner Bros is allowing GoG to sell titles that Warner owns the rights to. (this explains the games that have appeared so far i.e. Batman and Harry Potter)
  25. $90 for the gas station means it will cost even more in Australia, it was on my wishlist but not anymore :(
