  1. That's the thing, if people stopped buying things above RRP the stores wouldn't sell the product and would see that charging above RRP is not the way to sell product.
  2. I wish people would stop giving their money to stores that charge higher than RRP for sets (like TRU charging $89.99 for the Dr Who set when RRP is $79.99)
  3. I was watching the other day and it made me think of how awesome it would be if LEGO/TT Games copied the Toy Box idea from Disney Infinity...
  4. I just built the Mini Fortrex (freebie from a Shop @ Home order) and now I want the big one even more.
  5. The big volcano helicopter is likely to be a retailer exclusive similar to set 60096 Deep Sea Operation Base from last year.
  6. You can always wait and see if the heat suit parts appear on Bricks & Pieces on the LEGO site. I picked up the white Hazard Suit parts (torso, head and helmet) from that one Ultra Agents set from Bricks & Pieces last year and will probably do the same with the one from the Volcano set (since I dont have any use for most of the set)
  7. The Volcano Starter Set has some interesting parts/figs in it (many of the Starter Sets are doing that) but I dont really have any interest in the other sets in the line.
  8. The best thing about the city park set is the large number of new torso prints it has. And not only that, torso prints that look great and useful (as compared to some of the torsos in the Juniors line that aren't as useful in a City setting)
  9. Its a pitty those low prices don't seem to have happened here in Australia, I wouldn't mind adding some of the Dimensions packs to my collection for parts (I dont have a console capable of playing the game) but at the Aussie RRP they are too expensive for me to do that.
  10. Wow, this is a really great gas station. You really nailed the prototype :)
  11. Does anyone know how long in studs the 3 cars in this set are? (front, middle and rear)?
  12. Another set where its obviously not suitable for an Ideas set just by looking at it... I dont get why LEGO doesn't just ban Star Wars sets from Ideas. Its clear they would probably never make one...
  13. You wont find the Ghostbusters HQ in Australia at this time.
  14. There are no exclusions, all LEGO that MYER actually has in stock is included. Don't waste your time going to MYER Robina though, they have no stock.
  15. Nexo Knights would be the obvious choice since its a new theme with a big marketing push behind it. We got a whole bunch of NinjaGo packs and a few Chima packs so some Nexo Knights packs and a Nexo Knights area make a bunch of sense IMO.
  16. I wasn't particularly interested in Nexo Knights but then I randomly watched the first couple of episodes of the TV show and now I want some of the good guy stuff for the trans fluro orange and blue colors... The Merlok Library set in particular looks interesting although there are some other nice parts in this theme too. This theme really is the closest to Cyberpunk LEGO have ever done (what with shields that can download new cool powers via wireless and a magician that has been downloaded into a computer system and stuff)
  17. I heard a report its an exclusive (Toys R Us I think although I may be wrong)
  18. I applaud LEGO for using the hazmat suit piece in grey in the volcano research set to represent a silver fire/heat suit (as seen in the movie Volcano)
  19. Having considered all the new pictures the Z06 is the only one I am still interested in. I dont like German cars (so Porsche and Audi are out) and I dont like Fords (so the Mustang and F150 are out) and I am just not feeling the Camaro (if it had been yellow like Bumblebee in Transformers maybe I might be interested but red and black just don't get me excited)
  20. Why is it that bad guy cars in LEGO City always seem to be dark red?
  21. My thoughts: F7A Hornet. I suspect LEGO is waiting to see what the game ends up as before making a decision on this (if the game ends up being too violent or ends up with "mature" age ratings, they wont want to make the set). That or they are waiting to see if Star Citizen is popular enough for a LEGO set to be viable. (or possibly they are still trying to secure a license but haven't yet hit the point where they have been rejected totally) Adventure Time would work much better as minifigs. I cant see brick built figs being acceptable to Warner Bros and Cartoon Network. Caterham Super 7 is far too big and LEGO already has its own plans going forward for both Speed Champions and their large-scale cars (including the big Technic Porsche set for later in the year) Modular Library is a bit big (even by modular standards) plus there is probably a fixed upper limit on just how big an Ideas set can get given the accelerated production schedule of Ideas sets (something like the Brick Bank would have had its production planned out for quite a whole before it got announced as a set). Lothlorian is just far too big (and the last waves of LOTR and Hobbit were flops) LEGO Physics is too big and too niche as a product (if you think about how much that would cost as a set vs what similar non-LEGO toys cost, it just doesn't make sense for LEGO to produce) Stay Puft I could see being a viable set with a small downsizing (not enough that its not the original creator's idea anymore but enough to make it a producible set at a price point of $70 or $80 US or so especially given the renewed interest in Ghostbusters (I would certainly buy one). Or it could be that they have their own plans for a Mr Stay Puft set at some point in the future (not connected to the Ideas project) just as was the case for the GBHQ. Indomius Rex is far too big to make into a set plus there is the license factor (they rejected the T-Rex and it was both smaller and had no license attached) Rivendel, like Lothlorian is far too big and from a theme that didn't sell. The Little Price would be awesome but I dont know if its popular enough to be a viable item (there was a 3D animated cartoon based on it done a while back but I cant find any information about it, pitty since I would love to watch the whole thing)
  22. Is the Corvette yellow or is it the same color as the McLaren?
  23. Is it worth purchasing the add-on packs for parts? (given that I dont actually have a console that can play the game) Is it worth buying the BTTF packs given that I already own the DeLorean? What about the Dr Who packs given that I own the Tardis set? (or rather, have one comming in the Shop @ Home order I placed yesterday) And the Benny pack given that I already own the Spaceship Spaceship SPACESHIP? And the Ghostbusters packs given that I own the Ecto-1 (but not the super-expensive firehouse since I cant afford that right now)
  24. The more interesting question is how this new lighthouse compares to the previous Creator lighthouse set from a few years back (on price, on design, on piece content etc)
  25. I hope these do come out in Australia (they aren't in the 1st half catalog). Wouldn't mind the Corvette and maybe the Camaro and the F-150 (just because I really like pickup trucks :)
