  1. A suggestion to make the BSTF a little easier to navigate is to split it up into some more sub forums: buyer, seller, trades and tips for sales for instance. There is already the bazaar for sellers, but it is sometimes a little hard to navigate the rest. i know it would probably be a huge project sorting all the exsistin threads and i don't know how manay people actually use the BSTF, but anyways its just a suggestion
  2. That's another great billboard, love the little museum.
  3. If it's only for display purpose and not playing, if you put a base plate on top of another baseplate, or any other studed surface, it will align in height with a plate placed on the surface.
  4. I like it:) The little path to the stairs and the damsel in distress are my favorite details for some odd reason :)
  5. I like it a lot, that big arch is amazing.
  6. Helli and welcome okiba. That's an awesome model, I hope there is more to come :)
  7. Cute little moc:) I like the boat, the triangle frame and the wave itself, good work:)
  8. Welcome to eurobricks to you and your 6 wheelers!
  9. Hello and welcome Ryan!
  10. Extending the castle this way sure give it a lot of gates. But it is an excellent idea to have a "modular" castle like that. But I would make some extensions of just straight wall.
  11. The interior looks great, love the flight suit cabins, and I think you came up with a good solution for the placement ghost storage unit. That is a lot of bricks with double walls!
  12. Hello Joe, sorry to hear about your situation, but it is inspiring to hear you lego'ing your way back :) getting stronger one brick at a time! I hope and pray you will recover fully, in the meantime, enjoy the building :)
  13. @pig, thanks for the picture, I see what you guys are talking about! In there defense he would have probably looked even creepier if he was actually shouting "win"! Go look in the mirror while you do that :)
  14. Update on toilet cleaner. I have had bunch of torsos and heads soaked in pure toilet cleaner to removed some acrylic paint I had applied and wanted off. They had been in there for about a week. Not only did the acrylic paint peel off with minimal effort, but the original print could be scraped off with a finger nail. The plastic appears unaffected. I am off to bed now but tomorrow I will try with some brand new figs to make sure u can tell if the plastic is affected. Good night folks :)
  15. Welcome to being here "legally" and happy birthday. And I guess congratulations on being a certified AFOL :)
  16. Nice work! I went there on my honeymoon, I showed your creation to my wife and she thought it was cool :) it's a nice and different little creation, with some interesting techniques.
  17. Wow! That's a lot of bricks, must be quite an investment. Anyways, your design looks amazing, very accurate. And the bridge looks great in bricks, so far so good. I see some great techniques and skills applied. Good luck with the rest of the build, and have fun with it, look forward to following the progress!
  18. Thanks :) I will go dig in my basement for some more :) I found some really old ones from when I was 12 or something. They are pretty cool though
  19. Very impressive! The size alone is spectacular, and the details are amazing.
  20. Just out of curiosity, can somebody show us a picture of this poor kid? I haven't bought an actual set for years, but it sounds terrifying...
  21. Super cool :) I like the rounded corners and the dark grey tile stones. Personally I am not so much for mixing in masonry bricks, but that's just my taste :) and the tiled roof looks great in mixed colors.
  22. Very good and accurate model, and very good decal work! I really like the detail on the canvas, especially that the stack of 1x1 roundies is bent a little. Yes, I like odd little details
  23. I found this today, don't know if it really works, but worth a shot From Alexander Ericson: There is a much, much easier way to remove print from a lego piece than any that I’ve heard before. It involves no sandpaper, no shaving, and no Brasso. Simply take a piece of white Sculpey Brand “Original Scupley”, knead it for a few minutes to soften it up, then firmly place it over the print that you want to remove. Wait a few minutes, then remove the clay. I’m not entirely sure how this works, but I presume that the plasticizers in the clay eat away at the print. Take a bit of rubbing alcohol and wipe off the clay/print remants. If any print remains, repeat process. I accidentally stumbled upon this process while I was trying to make a mold of a minifig head. After failing at this task, I removed the clay cast, only to find that there was clay stuck to the face. I wiped it off with my thumb, only to find that I had taken the face with it! Original Sculpey is a low-quality polymer clay, as far as sculpting goes. It comes in bricks of 1.75 pounds, in white or terra-cotta.
  24. Hi Prince, I am old school, so what I do is I find as many reference pictures I can, then sit down with some millimeter paper and draw it. It takes some getting used to, but I find it much easier than any of the digital alternatives. It is lots faster. I can try and upload some photos of drawings later, if anyone is interested. It is quite easy to draw almost any element by hand, and the 5:6 ratio of a 1x1 brick is really easy to work with.
