  1. Welcome Curious George, I am not sure I understand what you mean. Not a Lego fan. The concept does not make sense to me.
  2. I have seen people do this and, at least to me, it is very obvious. It is possible to make full room for 2 minifigs in a 6 wide, and still make it look somewhat like the real deal.
  3. That's a sweet ride! Interesting idea for a book, will definedly have a closer look later.
  4. I am going to have a closer look later at exactly how much I have accumulated. I am keeping the beams, plates, axles and stuff I can use in my 'regular' builds. I guess this post is kind of redundant... I will be back :)
  5. Does anybody build with those old light grey gears, old pneumatic cylinders, classic 12v motors and those good old blocky solid tires? I don't see a lot of it in here, so I am just wondering. The reason I am asking is that I have a whole bunch of it just taking up space, and would rather trade it all off than go trough the trouble of registering it all at brick link to sell a part here and a part there.
  6. I have trouble getting on Mocpages too today, but will definedly check it out later. I think I will give it a try with the design updates. I have plans to make an udpated 6wide version of set 6661, the mobile tv studio, with my Toyota Hiace design. It is fun to mix old ideas with new parts and techniques :)
  7. Looks very comfortable
  8. Thanks for the comments @antp, that is a very nice use of that windshield! I love looking at these old childhhod creations, it is funny to see what we came up with back then I like to look back and remember, sometimes even be inspired by things i made and forgot about, I wish i had more pictures from that time. It makes me want to make new versions of my old stuff, update the designs for 2 seaters
  9. I don't get cats sometimes. If you want to pet them on a normal day they just look at you with that "what do you think you are doing?" look on their faces, but as soon as you are focused on something else they get right in your face :)
  10. I had a similar thing happen when I was sorting a huge pile of brick I bought on eBay. As much as I would love to see them pick up my hobby and start building with their little cat hands, I have to face reality and accept that they probably just want my attention or some food... The video didn't work on my iPad, but looking forward to seeing it later :)
  11. I like it a lot! I love the idea of that kind of modular castle, this is the way I imagined making a castle if I get into castle building again. I think the trebuchet and ballista are great!
  12. Great interior, love the little screens by their beds, that is awesome parts usage! The scene kind of reminds me of Starship Troopers, I always imagine those stormtroopers would live in tiny little spaces, but them seem to have better conditions:)
  13. Hello and welcome! Your story sounds much like mine, except I didn't have duplos. My parents were, what you might call really poor, so we only had a big bunch of handed down Lego when I was tiny. Yep, went straight to grown up bricks, and didn't eat a single one. But my parents tell me that when I was around 3 I always went around trying to lift my head off like a mini figure :) anyways welcome, hope you enjoy it here:)
  14. Welcome to Eurobricks, my fellow minifig scale real life car builder! Hope to see some pictures of yours! And there are plenty of nice people, ready with advice if you need it :)
  15. Hi folks. I have quite a lot of experience with 6 wide 2 seaters. There is obviously never going to be tons of room in there, so the limits of comfort have to be pushed a little:) but there is a variety of methods, I have a bunch of my 6 wides here http://bricksafe.com/pages/emilstorm/Cars%20and%20Vehicles , many of them don't have figs in them in the pictures, but I would be happy to upload some pictures of it when I have proper time. The methods I use the most is either placing one of these http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=4865 under a 1x3 door, or integrating a 1x2 jumper into the floor under a 2x3 door. I don't care much for the little guys' comfort, I am more about getting the exterior look of the car, so if you need something with actual seats and stuff, I am afraid someone else will have to help you :) I can try to upload interior pictures of the principle of it, if there is interest.
  16. I really like the roof and the fence (the rest is great too ). And lots of nice little details in the yard, good work!
  17. Thank you Brickdoctor, I didn't know that. I am however afraid my days on brickshelf are over. I like it quick and simple, and Bricksafe fits better for me. Thanks though
  18. This sounds like the beginning of a bad horror movie... if a giant technic robot with a gun and a fishing rod knocks on your door one night, don't open! But seriously, that is a sad story. I have worked with people like that too, and I am the guy that's too nice to tell them to go find another victim. But what can you do, tell them to get a hobby?
  19. Welcome to Eurobricks, that is a fine collection so far
  20. Ok, so it's the 13th century Matrix :) I think your technique is still good, I wouldn't worry too much about a mistake or two, that's the charm of stop motion :) I think it is really good overall, also considering you you have two 'actors' moving simultaneously, which can be tricky. I would still work on the focus, light and background to make it spectacular :)
  21. Wow, that's a lot of bricks! It's as tall as my daughter when she was born :) anyway, great work, I know how hard it is to make something round like that, I don't have the patience for it. Good work, it certainly looks like the subject:)
  22. A ten meter table, wow! I need one of those too:) unfortunately we live in a tiny little apartment and all if my Lego is in the basement, and I have so little time to build. So whenever I can squeeze 15 minutes of building in, I pretty much have to go to the basement, find the parts I need and as soon as I sit down, the baby wakes up and starts crying. THAT is driving me crazy :)
  23. That is a very cool train, I love the name too :)
  24. There are some suggestions in this thread, I didn't dare put anything else than water on after my attempt :) http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=94435&view=&hl=&fromsearch=1 I think in your case I would start with multiple washing a of just water to get the worst off first, maybe just soak them in it for a couple of days, then try with some dish soap or some other mild product. If you try something stronger, first remove those precious space guys and any other treasured printed parts!
