  1. Exactly how I feel these days! It seems the less time I have the more I think about bricks! Some days when I walk down the street, all I think about is how I would build the stuff I see out in the street...
  2. I know the feeling! I very rarely have time to actually build anything, so when I do I go pretty hard. It will usually be at some obscure hour of the night, which might also contribute to me crashing :)
  3. Really cool, I like the Death Star interior a lot.
  4. I made these in 2010 I think, and they have been long forgotten and burried in my basement. First off is a CheyTac M200 For some reason the cheek rest has gotten a little warped from storage, It used to be straight. And the outer barrel is made from flex tube, and acrylic paint sticks very poorly to it, so the bipod has scraped it off a little. Apart from that i rather like this one. The grip and rear of the receiver is a Brickarms AK47, and the scope is based on one of their rifles, I added a thin slice off trans-clear rod for a glass effect. the rest is random bits and pieces of Lego and a bunch of glue and paint. The next is a Sako TRG 42 It uses the exact same pieces of Brickarms, and a whole lot of tiny pieces of Lego. A piece of one of my wifes hair clips is in the but stock. And yes, a minifig can actually hold it: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/muni/brickarms-mods/billede0042.jpg Hope you like them, please let me know what you think
  5. Maybe a row of these https://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=4085 with the studs covered under red 1x8 or whatever length tiles along the top. From the reference pictures it seems like the red structure on top needs to stick out one stud anyway, so i would mount those on some of these https://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=30414 in red, then make the red top structure on stud longer and place it on top. Hope it makes some sense
  6. You are so very welcome Dr. Joe. Just out of curiosity I am going to do some more experiments as well. I was sorting my mini fig parts the other day and found a bunch of damaged torsos that will be my test subjects. Unfortunately I don't really have time to customize so much these days, but it would be nice to find something you can just dump parts into, instead off using brass or the likes. I will update in here if I find something that works.
  7. I think miwed definedly look better. As others have stated it can also look like crap though. For me it looks great with mixed colors in very simple architecture, where as more elaborately decorated architecture tends to look better in one color, maybe with a couple of differently colored bricks, but few and far apart. Otherwise you simply end of having to much going on, and it will just look bad.
  8. Really cool, I love the backside of the building for some odd reason, and the interior of the loft is awesome.
  9. Thats a nice collection there Just noticing now how many green trucks they have made.
  10. Here are a couple of minivans. Credit for the design goes to Spencer R. on Mocpages http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/25867. I saw this creation and decided to try fitting some minifigs in there. They both fit 2 in the front and 2 in the back. The white one features a an opening trunk which was also mainly done to try out some techniques. This was my first attempt, so I have made some changes in my later models with similar feature. Building the white one was a great experience in trying out new things. Here is the red one, pretty much the same overall design, with a different front. Note to self: REMEMBER TO CLEAN MODELS BEFORE PHOTOGRAPHING
  11. Hi CustomJoe sorry about the delay, I saw your post but forgot all about it... It is just some generic supermarket brand toilet cleaner. Chemical content: <5% nonionic tensides (Detech-8), Water, Citric Acid, Formic Acid, Xanthan Gum, Propyl Gallate, propylene Glycol, Color & Perfume It didn't have any effect on the plastic, except a delightful citrus smell. It was however really tough on the print, especially silver and yellow. I had about 5 of those silver swords from 90's castle soaked in it and it turned the thick layer of chrome color into a slimy substance overnight. The result can be seen in my "flexible arms" topic in this forum.
  12. Hello from Denmark :) Welcome Kevin, hope you post some of your creations on here :)

  18. Very interesting project, I hope to see more of it. I loved the monorails when I was a kid, but unfortunately never had one. I never thought of building one from bricks, this is very inspiring!
  19. I would not think so much about what bricks I use when trying to find the right forum to post in. I would think more about what style it is and who I would like to show it to. So I would agree with Sci-Fi for this one And don't think you need to worry about the staff in this case, they seem pretty cool
  20. Hello and welcome I am not much of an Iron Man person, but it looks pretty good to me
