  1. Thank you Lightningtiger, where have you been the last few days These little cars are some of my most precious treasures, almost anything else I take apart and make new things, but these were where it all started
  2. Those are some awesome machines! It has been years since i built anything in technic (before everything was made of liftarms) and much has happened since. Anyways, i like your style, and from what i can tell, they look very original. And back to the topic: In reply to your last statement, I think pretty much everybody feels like that about some of their creations. It's those little tiny details or mechanisms that sets our creations apart, and keep the wheels of innovation turning. Just show us one more, just a little one, please..
  3. So cool! I would not have thought that would work! Sometimes the simplest solution is the best
  4. Just be careful what you do with them! I had an unfortunate incident a few years ago with some sewage in my basement. What ever you do, don't use toilet bowl cleaner!!!
  5. Welcome Aubeltastic, Yeps, that's us, the Nerds, always nice to meet one more :)
  6. Yes, they will be good as new:) I am actually quite impressed with how good a condition they appear to be in.
  7. This is quite an interesting discussion to follow. As I said earlier, I don't think there is anything wrong with not sharing your moc's as such, I have 'secret stuff' myself. Those I keep to myself are for different reasons, some have a weird sentimental value, some I don't think anybody would care about and some are just very uninteresting experiments in developing techniques, thechniques I have used in other moc's that then reach the 'publifucation stage'. I do like sharing moc's that I am happy with and hearing peoples opinion about them. And yes it does give some very primitive satisfaction if you build something cool and people like it:) But honestly, the biggest reason for sharing as I see it is to keep the Lego evolution going. I have been inspired by others and have a naive hope that my moc's may have inspired others. I respect that we are all different, and have different reasons for building, and some people show none of their creations. Just think it through, in my mind ideas that are not shared are 'lost'. They can be ever so great, but if they just sit in a box, they will be going nowhere.
  8. Here are some of the few childhood MOCs i have saved. A couple of police cars I remember making the one on the left after I saw Robocop 2 and wanted to make his cruiser. I think I nailed it pretty good... If you imagine Robocop driving a Honda Civic Here is an ambulance and a small delivery van. The ambulance is still one of my favorite creations of all time. It is supposed to be a VW Caravelle, and it has had minor changes done since the first version, but nothing major. The color design is the same as the original one i made, I am very proud of ca. 12 years old me Last is a Shell road assistance truck. I stole the design for the tow thingy from my older brother
  9. Very well done! Lots of nice details, I love the power things on the top (I am obviously not a train guy) and of course the over all shape and design.
  10. Pretty cool, I like the flying light saber and the explosion. And of course the creature :) maybe get some better light in your pictures and a better background, you can just clamp some sheets of white paper together, it will make your subject stand out much better. I think it deserves it!
  11. I like it! Nice blue explosion on the droid :) and I like the whole scene, scenery is simple and small, but works very well.
  12. Again very nice scene. The background is awesome, and funny idea to see al those troopers without there helmet. I would have thought the hair was the first thing the recruits lost, that Vader guy always seemed kind of like a nazi that way to me.
  13. My fire department just got a bunch if new tools, they are made specifically to fit into the future reconstruction. I do hope they fit :) http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=95727#entry1893646
  14. Funny dream :) I always used to dream that Lego made some new little part that I needed to solve a MOC problem :)
  15. Oh my god, that is truly buried treasure! Some of my favorite stuff in my collection is definedly the old childhood stuff! And not just for the memories, some of it is pretty much irreplaceable!
  16. Welcome sandstorm, one more Dutch builder :) hope you get busy with those bricks and post some pictures :)
  17. Welcome to the forum Fictions, a lot of Dutch people joined lately:) that sure is an interesting project. If only I had the time and lived a little closer... I think what you are talking about has been my dream too for years. I have been building since I was 3 years old, and designing real life houses and vehicles is my passion. Unfortunately I live in Copenhagen and have a wife and little baby that together have all my time, almost :)
  18. I am happy to hear that, I am sure his armour would have hurt that sarlaac's tummy anyway :)
  19. PS The small ram in black makes a pretty good telescopic baton as well.
  20. I have so many! Just recently I was sorting my minifigs and found all these torsos where I had scratched away some of the print when I was younger... I found 4 or 5 classic space guys with the logos scratched off( and I did a horrible job, they were totally use less now). And I used to snap the handles off my castle shields to make little guns... I remember I had those classic ones with a blue edge and red and grey in the middle. Well I don't have them anymore....
  21. Haha, I do that too, sooo much! Don't worry, we are perfectly normal :0

    Mac help

Apparently this person knew it all, no need for questions... It does sound a lot like my wife :)
  23. I am not so up-to-date on Lego retailers, its been years since I have bought a set in a shop. But it has definably happened that sets were available in stores before at the lego site. I also remember seeing the Divers series (released in mid nineties i think) in a supermarket add about a month before it was available at toy stores. If I remember corrctly the series was released in january and the supermarket sold it in december.

    Mac help

Dear Mr. Brickdoctor, i tried your suggestion, now it just makes a weird "dong" noise when i want my beloved underscore. And the key combination was "Shift+/" before i changed it. Thank you for your help though, i think my there is something up with the keyboard configuration... Some thing to work with I guess
  25. That is fantastic, makes me wish we had an extra room... Have fun with it
