  1. Here are some hydraulic tools for Fire & Rescue. First, the Jaws of Life, the hydraulic cutters. Not so much modification done on this one except for the tiny little piece of flex tube connecting the hose to the compressor. Next a large hydraulic ram. This time with a little bit more modding. The outer tube is obviously a 3.5L flex tube, The extension is a long grey antenna. Last we have a small hydraulic ram, perfect for a dash board lift Again a 2L flex tube and the top of the antenna Please let me know what you think
  2. Thanks for sharing Bricksafe, I have just signed up And with this you are way better off than with Brickshelf, I just uploaded 46 pictures in less time than Brickshelf does one And you can actually upload more than one at the same time, I love it!
  3. So far so good! That is a whole lot of parts already... I will definedly stay tuned for the progress!

    Mac help

I have just tried in word, still just Mr. Robotvoice...
  5. The focus is definedly better on the walk test, but it can be really tough at such short distance. I assume you have already played around with the settings on the digital camera, they usually have some different autofocus options. If you have a camera with manual focus I would use it for something like this. I hate autofocus when photographing such extreme close ups.
  6. I think it looks pretty good, stop motion looks pretty smooth. I put some comments on background and lighting on your other video, and you said it yourself, keep the set and camera steady :)
  7. Let me start by saying I understand your concerns, and I don't think anything in your first post is arrogant at all. I too have things I don't want to post for different reasons, some of what I think are my best creations sit in my basement, and for me the greatest satisfaction is the accomplishment of making something either look just right or just simply work. As you mention later on in your post we have all been inspired at some point even if what we end up making looks nothing like the 'source material' it might not ever have been made if not for that inspiration. That is the beauty of forums like this, in my opinion we all, and probably TLG designers too, from seeing what each others are up to. I think so much has happened to Lego in the last 10 years or so, and I think people sharing their MOCs does have something to do with it.
  8. Hi again, I have now watched the kniggets do the Conga :) I think the stop motion is as good as it gets, especially with 3 little guys moving at the same time. I agree with Lewis on the lighting and the background, I think most importantly have the same lighting in each shot :) for background there is lots of things you can do, I am sure you will have fun experimenting with it:) for a forest scene like this you can play with multiple layers of background, like a close one in minifig scale, a further one with brick built mountain or hills and a far one of a picture of some clouds or a solid sky-blue as examples. Just remember on the far one that it should cover the whole scene and you can make it a sort of curve to prevent shadows and corners on it. If you want to make it look extra awesome have multiple light sources for each layer in the picture unless you would like the objects to cast shadows. But now we are one step from a Hollywood production :) good work so far :)
  9. That's some cool houses and excellent furniture. My favorites are the yellow arm chair and the drawer thing under the stairs.
  10. Welcome to the forum Mr. Brick Fan Tan, will have a look at your video later, and look forward to the walking test :)
  11. Maybe this can help http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=95367#entry1886548

    Mac help

I have only used underscore in the browser, it's safari. I am not near it right now so I can't try it out.

    Mac help

Hello EB, I use my wife's old 2008 iMac sometimes, but I have a huge problem. When I try to make an underscore it won't, in stead it reads what I have written (in a creepy voice). It was kind of fun the first couple of times, but now I am kind of sick of it, and I need that underscore to type in my email adress. I have tried google but Couldn't find anything useful. Am I missing something embarrassingly obvious or is my wife's Mac possessed by an evil synthetic robot voiced underscore demon?
  14. Great work again. I love the scenery!
  15. That is awesome, great creation. I always thought it was kind of anti-climatic how good old Boba went on to meet his maker. Anyways beautiful build:)
  16. Nice little story :) and judging on the stormtroopers' fighting skills in episode 4-6 this is probably how it's done :)
  17. I am not into super heroes at all, but something told me to check this out. I am glad I did. Awesome artwork, the figures and scenery are really well done. Great work!
  18. Congratulations to the winners, it has been very entertaining to follow this competition, and all entries have been spectacular in their own way!
  19. Well the guy loves Lego and has great taste, apart from that his fan page is kind of useless and pointless if he doesn't point people to who made the models and where he found them. And of course it should be mentioned on there that he didn't make them himself, I am not very strong in Italian, so it might say so somewhere.
  20. My friend, if only we had the time and bricks.... The world would be a better place :)
  21. Welcome to eurobricks Bjoern, your story sounds much like mine :) It's hard to understand how you could go on living with out bricks once you get back to them :)
  22. Thanks for commenting :) the doors on the Mercedes are mounted on a pair of these each http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=30377 and I used little pieces of flex tube to connect them. I will try to upload a picture soon.
  23. Hello, welcome to eurobricks and the present, hope you like it here :)
  24. These are the first two "completed" vehicles of my Copenhagen Fire Depatment project. If I ever get around to it I am going to change the white doors for a solution with grey tiles. I always kind of hated those white doors, but they were all I had. Also I need new stickers on plastic in stead of paper, they look horrible around the edges. The first one is the I3, a Mercedes Econic rescue truck. It has e crew of 4, 2 in the front cab and 2 in the back. I am pretty happy with the cab, I might change the bumper though, at least change the head lights to some trans clear ones. Doors open, and a little view to the crew compartment. I am happy with how the back end turned out. I haven't put the equipment in yet, but here you can get an idea of the interior of the compartments. Here is the I2, a MAN dive rescue vehicle. It too has a crew of 4, a driver and leader in the front cab and 2 divers in the back. I think the cab turned out pretty ok, but needs a little internal work for structural integrity Here is a little view of the crew compartment and the tool compartments. My planned reconstruction will fit about twice as much equipment, and look more realistic. I was never quite happy with the back half of the truck. Some more tool compartments. The reconstruction will move the stuff you see in the compartment furthest to the back and hopefully allow me to use the space for more equipment Here is the stuff you saw in the other picture, a hydraulic cutter and some jacks loaded on hand trucks. Please let me know what you think
  25. Thanks for the comments folks I found this other half finished Fiat Ducato van on my latest expedition in my basement. I thought making a new topic for this would be a little much, and it goes pretty well with the other vans. Please let me know what you think of it
