Really cool, so simple! That thing looks like it was meant to be a washer:)

Super odd, very close to the original. Nice build!

Very interesting! My favorite details are often a little odd, and in this case it has to be those gas tanks in the floor. I like seeing things I have never seen before, it makes my head explode with ideas :)

Wow, this is quite amazing! I believe this is the best Beetle I have seen so far. Incredibly close to the original for a 4 wide vehicle! I find it very challenging to build "rounded" vehicles on a square base, but you hardly notice any corners on this one. Great work!

Great design, I particularly like the wind screen, have never seen it done like that before.

Otherwise I would bring them where you are going, I think they are the same where ever you get them, the one I got in Copenhagen looked very 'international'. Unless there is no Lego store where you are going. They are definedly worth using, they fit a lot more bricks than you would think, and it's pretty much free bricks :)

Where to purchase, and information about Modulex!
emilstorm replied to rollerbones's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Are you ready for a horror story? If not don't read this post... About five years ago I was still in the army, we were cleaning out an old HQ building. I came across this big "Lego-ish" posting board / calendar/ organizer- thingy, about 2x4 feet if my memory is correct. It had hundreds of tiles of different colors and sizes on it. Being an AFOL it initially caught my interest, but since it didn't have "Lego" on the studs I lost interest, and it was thrown out. These buildings were from the late 60's early 70's, and after reading this thread I am close to 100% certain it must have been modulex. This happened in Denmark, which would make it even more plausible for it to have been. I have build Lego for almost 30 years, and until 30 mins ago I had no idea about this "modulex" -"the horror, the horror..." -

The position and future of Friends and minidolls in Lego?
emilstorm replied to Dorayaki's topic in General LEGO Discussion
In my opinion the friends theme is brilliant. The way I see it, anything that brings new costumers in is a win for all of us. I would never buy it for myself, this also goes for things as Ninjago, superheroes and Bionicle, but the fact that those themes sell like crazy keeps the business going, gives us new parts and colors, and in the end I always end up buying a set or two just to check it out or get specific new parts. It is stuff like this, and off course mainly licensed themes and video games, that got Lego out of its crisis and back on track, to the point where they are now the worlds second largest toy company. I would also rather see my own daughter play with Lego Friends than Barbie. She is not even born yet but I already got her some Duplo's, in fact the other day my wife asked if I would buy her the "Lego cruise set"( the Friends set with the big boat :)). Lego is a great toy for children development ( creativity, motors kills etc.), and I think girls should not miss out on this, just because Barbie and Hello Kitty are "more pink". Plus I can now do all my Christmas shopping for my nieces and nephews in one shop :) -
-part name: transclear tile 1x1 and 1x2 -part usage: head lights and light bars I found the 1x1 on BL some time ago at a ridiculous price and do not remember ever seeing it in a set. It has always been a mystery to me why this part is not in any set that has a vehicle in it.

Thank you! Trying out water slides is my next step, just have to get familiar with the technique and find a place near by that has the supplies :)

Here is my first attempt at a fire fighter. Unfortunately I can only do stickers for now at home, but hope to have time to work on a better solution:) http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/335203

Good morning everybody, My name is Emil, I am 31 years old and live in Denmark. I have been building lego's for as long as I can remember, and mainly build city stuff, and recently mostly fire trucks. But when I get bored of that, I customize minifigs and accessories. I got into this when I stumbled across brickarms some years ago and found their customization forum. Most of the stuff I have done is on brickshelf, but I plan to post it all here gradually. I am currently working on making one of my dreams into reality; to produce and sell rescue gear for minifigs. This is however still only in early prototyping stages, and will be a very small scale production. But I hope there are others like me out there, who only wants the best equipment for there fire and rescue services:)
