[TEASER] PKW's simple chassis series

This is my first teaser :3 (I'm so proud of it ) i want to open this thread in order to ask people if they could be interested on my work, so, going to the main topic: I joined a small exhibition here in Rome where I showed four simple RC lego cars, three of them are mine (showed also in only one of my post here on Eurobricks :3) the fourth is the Dawnbreaker and I hope I can film a video for it, so I can add to the original thread a comparison with the other chassis, that are: -green stylized trophy truck -yellow stylized Tyrrell P34 -black stylized hot rod (maybe with driver that make it drift really well muhahaah) "stylized" because I want to build small car and I don't have lots of pieces for the aesthetics, but I guarantee the look nice ;) My problem is that I don't have time to film (for the offroad ones I need a whole saturday free of tasks, so for me isn't a simple work to fully present a MOC) and some times i know that the look of my creations don' catch the attention of lots of people I don't want to make empty topics ;) so i decided to ask how i should organize those "simple chassis series" topics, my idea is: -3 different topic -topic as review of the car -techniques used in the cars -small test video -video with description and some clip running outdoors -a final topic (yes :3) with the video of a tournament between those cars the same kind of LTIR competition The different topic (posted with a gap of 3-4 days) could be a tutorial for people who want to start building something funny with lego, and they will find 4 different cars with 4 different difficulties and 4 different kind of pieces (common or rare); I also want to build LDD file for each car and change the file for the dawnbreaker in a better one. What you think about this organization of the topics? should I post only one topic with all the cars together? Also if videos will be uploaded really late? Also if you want to suggest another kind of chassis that I can make to substitute the dawnbreaker feel free to suggest it, and if you have built a chassis of this kind i can build and review it as one of the chassis but not mine, so we can see which is the best during the race! Here comes my MOC... not 100% a sort of new work but a refinement of my previous one: http://www.eurobrick...l=+bumper +cars (LEGO Friends' Theme Park (4): Bumper Cars) Since then, I was advised by a number of people that such a girly MOC was far less desirable than a boy one. That's why this comes out: It takes me for more than a year to make improvements -- virtually a new start except the use of magnets is retained. There are so many stages of transformation; there are simply many trials and errors I have experienced... The cars looks more resemblance to real ones. I use a tiled baseplate even though a normal baseplate with studs do not affect the smooth running of the cars. I also make the turntable much more handy, so that it require much fewer bricks. In the meantime, I still keep the delay function (In case you don't know what I am referring to, please check the video at the bottom of this page) In order to make the set more playable, there is a manuel mode: you can pick up the axles placed at the top of the set and use them to control a car and smash the others. Hope you enjoy my work and think this is much fun! A video is better than 1000 words. This is the love story of Lucy/Wyldstyle and Emmet. Emmet faces much hardship in his pursuit of love (probably because of Batman!) Lucy always looks cool and unresponsive. Though Lucy is always within his reach, Emmet simply cannot get her attention (or she is even beyond his sight). They whirl around one another but their is no contact point of them. They look like two lost souls in a fish bowls. It takes a long time -- from winter to summer -- for Emmet to win her over finally. Here comes a video: Hope you like my creation. [MOC] Off-road racer

Hello everyone, I’ve just bought RC motor and I wanted to make a relatively simple and fun to drive off-road vehicle. Here is my first off-road MOC: Video of driving outdoors with basic info: Short review and indoor action (jumps and drift): Basically, I tried to make it as light as possible – it weighs 502g. It is 35 studs long, 19 studs wide and 16 studs high. Drive: 1 RC motor (outer output) directly connected to the rear wheels - RWD only. Relatively long travel suspension (front independent, rear dragged axle), and decent ground clearance. 8878 battery is in the middle, set lowest possible, for better weight distribution. Also there are few details in the interior. The IR receiver is hidden between battery and the servo (to save space, it partly goes under the servo motor). Servo motor for steering (with 4 round plates at each side also acts as a fake V8 engine under the hood). Doors and hood can be open, they come with safety locks to prevent unwanted opening - very often on rough terrain For sense of scale, here it is next to my 9398 Crawler: At the end, I really need to share my impressions about RC motor. It is really impressive, especially after I got used to the characteristics of the PF motors and tried almost every combination (PF motors&batteries) to achive better performance Of course, I knew it is fast, but nevertheless, you should've seen huge smile on my face on the first test drive. I wish I could turn back time and buy it earlier! [MOC] Volksrod - Red Baron

Hello everyone, This is another creation that I made before joining Eurobricks, which I'd really like to share with you: Plan was to make relatively simple, light and fast car (it was before I bought RC motor). It is 37 studs long, 19 studs wide and 12 studs high and weighs 589 g. Two L motors are coupled and geared 5:1. Power is transmitted, without differential (my attempt to increase drifting capabilities) to the rear wheels only. Servo motor is for steering and everything is powerd by 8878 battery (easy accessible for charging). Working 4 cylinder boxer engine and serpentine belt part which drives fake fan. Doors can be opened. Hello everyone, I finished this 8070 modification two months ago (before I joined Eurobricks) and I would really like to hear your thoughts about it. It has adjustable air suspension and motorized/remotely controlled driving and steering... You may have already seen it in a drag race video with my hot rod Lucky 13. Original 6.5 L hard springs have been changed with 6.5 L soft spring + small pneumatic cylinder, for all wheels. It has large pneumatic pump at the back and pneumatic switch at the cabin for controlling the riding height. It also has working steering wheel and remotely controlled original functions (doors, rear spoiler and hood - choice of a function is done manually with gearbox lever, like in the original). It has additional two L motors for driving and M motor for steering, two IR receivers (one of them V2). Original battery box has been replaced with smaller 8878 - hidden behind panels at the rear for more realistic appearance. I have been stalking the forum for quit a while and I have build a few of my own moc's, but this is the first model I want to share. After reading this great thread: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=69362&st=0 And remembering this fun mechanics: http://robotics.benedettelli.com/NXTAPOD.htm I wanted to make a shorter model that looked like a dog with only four legs and which could walk and turn with only a single motor. In the end I couldn't get any other legs to work with only one motor. Either the legs wouldn't stabilize the model well enough or there would be so much resistance in them so that the single motor wouldn't be able to run them both. In the end I used Isogawas legs and just made a slightly shorter insect model that can run and turn with a single motor. http://i.imgur.com/NZ7xLCZ.jpg Thanks to Fourlords for his LLD that helped me understand Isogawas model.
