    Here is my off-road mod for RM8`s Fj 40. I added spare wheel and canister holder, external frame, extra lights (I don`t count winch and snorkel as a modification, because instructions for them were in original) Also, I made a shovel, sand tracks and a jack. Insruction ror original model:

    If you mean 16 and 8 teeth gears, they can rotate smoothly. And I used differentals as experiment, maybe I`ll remove them in final version.
