Can this topic be pinned or something? It's useful for simple questions and answers and for newcomers... -
Jurss' Workshop
captainmib replied to Jurss's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I like the chassis and the side and back. Looking good already. The front could use some work, maybe some more flexible parts? -

I've added my Helix Police Helicopter to Rebrickable: http://rebrickable.com/mocs/captainmib/helix-police-helicopter This was my entry for the TC5 contest. So if you like to build it, get 42020 and 42002 and you have all the parts needed.- 20 replies

So, everybody knows it's a x-wing. Can you just present it now? -
Nico71's Creations
captainmib replied to nico71's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
That is one sexy ride. Really smooth, good job. If only 42039 looked like this... I like the doors, the curves, suspension setup in the front is clever done. It's a lot of red 5 beams though Nice LMP1! -
BlueSmartControl
captainmib replied to Sariel's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Looks promising, and also, tiny. The software looks very complete. One thing i have missed in the (p)review: how does it compare to hamster control? -

Nice job on the video. For a rip-off go pro the image is pleasant to look at. Maybe you want to present your MOC aswell? -

[C-MODEL] 42008 Swing arm crane truck
captainmib replied to MrTekneex's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Good looks and part use! And well done on all the functions in a small place. The only downside i see is the placement of the crane rotation - straight through the cabine...- 31 replies

Probably the small turntable? You should click them together, needs some force. -

2015 Twin Assassin Supercars: P.D. Special and X19
captainmib replied to Paul Boratko's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
The rear section is great indeed. 42039 uses this also, and it's probably not easy to achieve. Extra problem is probably the roof not being connected to the rear of the car, increasing instability? With LEGO Technic, the functions stand out indeed, so my initial thought was a bit (and don't take this personal) "you can do more Paul". I don't know how to explain this correct, but when there are dozens of MOC's with lots of functions, one becomes a bit spoiled, and models tend to impress less at first glance. I would love to build this model though. The last one i build was the Vampire GT. I like to see how your models have grown. -
2015 Twin Assassin Supercars: P.D. Special and X19
captainmib replied to Paul Boratko's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Amazing cars Paul. It looks like these are less part-heavy, and that's a good thing in my opinion. The other functions, doors and stuff, are manual? Did you think about other functions for the cars? I can't name any right now, but maybe you would have thought of some. -

[TC6] Technic SBrick Contest - Information Topic
captainmib replied to Jim's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
So, i'm building my TC6 entry, but this week is very busy for me. I'm 80% done with the build, but i'm afraid i wont make it before the deadline. Is it possible to postpone it a week? Maybe there are other builders who want the same? -
Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here
captainmib replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Ok, i understand. Thanks for the explanation. Still, for the untrained eye it looks like they are all the same, and just a different wing design (or for that matter, different looks of a formula 1 car) don't justify a buy. (for me it won't) Maybe it's that the rebel fighters/bombers look so much different from each other, that it stands out that the empire all look alike. -
Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here
captainmib replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
So, i'm not a lego star wars collector, but i really do not understand all these TIE variants. It's just the same spacecraft with different wing designs. What's the deal with all these types, and why would you collect anything else than one TIE fighter? -
[Time-Lapse] LEGO STAR WARS 10236 - Ewok Village Time
captainmib replied to wingyew29's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Nice video. Must be an awful lot of work for such a big set. What I like about these kind of videos is that it gives a good view on the set. If you added some close-up shots of the minifigs and the play functions, you would have a complete review.- 11 replies

42040 Fire Plane
captainmib replied to timtimgo87's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Looks a lot like 42025. Same functions and building techniques. Nice small plane though. Are those black toggle joints on the window? And are they not connected? Seems a bit weird. -

42043 Mercedes-Benz Arocs 3245
captainmib replied to AndroTech's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
What an amazing set this is. It will be a joy to build. I think this is almost a gift from LEGO to us: look at all the shit they put in there - extra tires, suspension, new pneumatics, lots of details. Goes to the top of my wishlist straight. -
42039 - Animated Stop Motion Speed Build Review

I like it. How much work/time does it take to produce something like this? It's almost like moving instructions.
