Me three on the Battlepack minifigs. 4 imps vs 2 rebels would be the best case scenario imo.

Great. Now I’m hoping they’ll incorporate Lando’s cape closet from the Skywalker Saga level into the build.

If this was the only Endor set I’d be on board with including an Ewok. But the fact is that both a Ewok Attack and Ewok Village set are supposed to also be coming, so there’ll be no shortage of Ewoks. And another thing is that imps and normal rebels are in desperate need of an army builder currently

I'd been thinking three and three, but you're right. 1 scout, 2 stormies, a fleet trooper, and then one each for tan vest commando and green trenchcoat commando would be best.

Capes are so unreasonably expensive on BL and PAB, a set like that would do wonders for the seconhand market (but no way of course).

Exactly. Not to mention that a single ewok would look kind of weird in an army-builder capacity, you'd just have a ton of the same ewok.

This really is a peak-sounding wave. And just to put things into perspective, we haven’t had a substantial playset-based winter wave since 2020.

General thoughts:

- Can’t believe the McQuarrie figs are happening. It’s the perfect way to celebrate a 50 year milestone and much, much better than golden minifigures. Shoutout to everyone who first speculated / wished for these in the wishlist thread. As Qui-Gon once said, you guys can see things before they happen.

- We have seen since 2024 that the Lego Star Wars Team have truly upped their game when it comes to location-based playsets, my hopes for Duel on Mustafar and Bespin are therefore quite high. Price-point wise, Mustafar seems to be similar to the Paz Viszla vs. Moff Gideon Duel, and this time I’m expecting a combined build of part of the Separatist Command Centre and some lava terrain. Bespin should be a pretty awesome playset with multiple segments.

- FINALLY Anakin’s Delta-7b. I don’t have faith that they’ll redo the build from the ground up to be smaller and sleeker, but I’m at least expecting an awesome General Skywalker minifigure. I do think they’ll also include either Dooku, a Magnaguard, or P1 Captain Rex here.

-  I really hope the RotS Anakin and Obi-Wan figures get updated. A new hair piece for Anakin’s mullet especially would be fantastic.

Overall a great sounding wave. I wonder if we’ll get a combined merch push for Ahsoka S2 and Starfighter with another ‘Force Friday’ like we got with Triple Force Friday in 2019 with the release of TRoS, Mandalorian, and Fallen Order.

I think you're entirely right on all of this- the Paz Viszla callout is noticeable. That set had 4 figures- maybe we will get a separatist leader or Padme.

I think there's a good shot at Dooku. The Jedi Starfighters tend to come with three characters, we know lego does look at the figs in terms of desirability, and Anakin''s going to be in at least three sets this year...

They don't even need a new mold- Moody from Harry Potter, Lloyd from Ninjago, and even the mullet they use for Old Luke would all look great. (I currently use the mullet in dark brown for my ROTS anakin)

I hope they at least do something different than the two platforms and lava.

Gungan Sub, Vulture droid, Metallic silver and yellow N1, AAT is a nice shout too.

I bet at the very least we're getting the high ground.

If they are doing a TPM set, I think Naboo Fighter vs Vulture Droid is the most likely option. They love their starfighter two-packs, the naboo fighter is THE TPM vehicle, etc

Honestly I don't think we ever see the Gungan Sub again.

Oh, sweet summer child :snicker: I’ll be shocked if there’s a third figure in that set, let alone any of these 3 :laugh_hard:

A lot of the jedi starfighters have come with three minifigures, I wouldn't say it's a guarantee but I also wouldn't be shocked. And if there is a third fig, I think Dooku makes a lot of sense. A fairly low-budget figure to make- he doesn't even need leg printing- and they know it would be a huge draw.

1 hour ago, BrickPrick said:

Yeah, that's how I remember it. But speaking from experience, what is accurate in-universe and how Lego actually executes it can be two things entirely. But considering we don't get anything beyond the usual Jedi + R2 Jedi Starfighter combo, I'm cautiously optimistic that they indeed give us the best possible General Skywalker minifigure. I honestly would prefer that over a third figure and a reused Anakin from 2025 Ahsoka's Jedi Interceptor.

Of course one doesn't have to rule out the other. It was just to my surprise that we are getting a regular one too after the last one turned out to be themed around Christmas. I just didn't expect this 1-2 punch this close anymore.

Yep, I'm getting major Anakin's Podracer 20th anniversary vibes here. Without it's respected anniversary figure, we could have easily gotten a Shmi, Watto or what have you as a third figure back then. And now it could be the same for the Mustafar Duel. Although with likely much more exciting anniversary minifigs this time around. But yeah, how many times do we have to see the perfect opportunity to finally have some named Separatist leaders being included... only for them missing in action.

I unfortunately can imagine the 50% price increase, but I don't allow myself to think this way... yet. At the same time, I don't see them course-correcting the Super BP pricing back to it's initial price point. So pretty curious what's it gonna be in the end. Suffice to say, the chance we're finally getting an Endor related BP again excites me.

For now, I'm*somehow* relived I don't have to enter bespoken mental meltdown state because of yet another 501st Battle Pack!

I hadn't thought about them re-using the Interceptor Anakin for any of these- I could see the robes being in the Mustafar Duel set, but I hope at the very least they'd update the head and hair

It is a little odd, but yeah, they are different enough to not compete, like the AT-ATs.

As Kaijumeister points out, there's a non-zero chance there is a fourth fig, as we've had $40 location sets with 4 figs before.

I just don't think Lego's going to make a move like that yet, especially when all indications are the recent battle packs (327th, night trooper, even SoM) are all hitting fairly big discounts. Whereas- while on 20% discount at a few places- a set from January 2024 is somehow still selling at most retailers, implying it's doing really well. I wouldn't be surprised if lego decided they'd rather sell 50k copies of a $30 set then 15k copies of a $45 set.

Just you wait until we get *the* star wars set of all time later in 2027: Buildable Smart Grogu that comes with 4 501st troopers. It's 197 pieces and $200. Because the 501st troopers included have arm printing, it sells eight million copies.

I think including one generic Ewok would be fine, It's a $30 set so I doubt most people would end up with more than a few. If it was a standard four figure battle pack then I'd agree it'd be out of place. Also since we're getting an Ewok Village people are gonna want to fill it out. My ideal ratio would be 3 Imperials, 2 rebels, and 1 Ewok.

Kinda disagree here, I think any ship or vehicle that got two sets are likely to get a third eventually. It also had a pretty good amount of screen time in the movie. It could take 10-20 years but it's definitely not out of the realm of possibly for them to make. Something like the SWTOR sets from 2012-2013 is something I can confidently say we'll never see again. Of course though there's always a 00000000.1% chance.

It appears to me that they might do one Anniversary fig set representing each of the 6 movies.

So far we know about 5 proper play-sets which could represent their respective movies

  1. ANH Y-Wing (confirmed to be a play-set)
  2. ESB Bespin Duel (confirmed to be a play-set)
  3. RotJ Ewok Village
  4. AoTC Bounty Hunter Pursuit
  5. RotS Mustafar Duel (confirmed to have a Anniversary fig)

Good thinking! I would love to see a Mos Espa Podrace, but I think a Naboo Starfighter is most likely.

Excellent. Let’s hope it happens.

Now the question is what the builds should be. I think that a brown version of the speeder from the Remnant AT AT is a given. But that’s not enough for the whole BP. So it’d be nice if we got like an imperial checkpoint/ small outpost as the build. Perhaps something inspired by the BF2 map? Since the Ewok Attack and Village will provide the tree side of Endor.

It wouldn't be the end of the world but even if you buy 2-3 now you've got 2-3 of the same exact ewok. I'd rather they put rebels and imperials here and fill the village out with a number of unique ewoks.

The thing is, it got those sets in a different era, when there were 6 (or 4 for the first one) movies and one show. Nowadays I think there's just too much content for a large, noncombat vehicle unaffiliated with any major faction and with no desirable figs tied to it that couldn't easily be slotted in cheaper sets to get a set. Sure, nothing's completely off the table, but I would honestly say the SWOTOR stuff is if anything MORE likely because I think it's more likely SWOTOR gets a remake or adaption than that the gungan sub shows up in something in a major capacity.

If Galactic Racer ends up doing well I would say we could get a new Mos Espa Podrace because Sebulba- with the pod- is a major character in the game, but it's not like lego cares about videogames in the first place.

Yes. My guess is it'll be the speeder bike and at least one tree, whether an ewok is included or not. We could also get a small bit of the bunker exterior and/or some entirely made up stuff.

If there is an ewok we'll see a glider and catapult, but if not- and especially because of the Ewok Attack smart set- I don't think we see them.

Is that so bad though? They all kinda look the same anyway. Multiple rebels with the same faceprints isn't great for army building either.

We're getting Bounty Hunter pursuit again which pretty much fits that criteria (except two medium vehicles, instead of one large). I highly doubt SWTOR would get a remake or adaptation. KOTOR had a planned remake and is more likely to be adapted somehow. The Lego sets we got from SWTOR weren't in KOTOR. You really think obscure ships from a 15 year old Star Wars MMORPG is more likely than a vehicle which had like 10 minutes of screen time in TPM?

My thoughts exactly, one tiny Ewok fits perfectly in a set at this price. Sure AFOLs buy dozen battlepacks but kids get only 1 or 2; an alien minifig should be a nice addition for them.

Yup, and it feels wrong to omit an Ewok from the set when they were such a big part of the battle.

TIE Avengera Kedavra!

This might be a long shot. But I just realised that there’s a chance that all the Anniversary sets might all include a Anakin minifig from each stage of his life.

I agree with @ArrowBricks on the N1 Starfighter being a good and likely candidate for TPM’s representative, that or a new pod racer or AAT.

We’re definitely getting Anakin minifigs for AotC, RotS and ESB (Vader). There’s also a non-zero chance force ghost Anakin is in the Ewok Village. And there’s also a chance that the Y-Wing could come with Mcquarrie Vader.

It’d be neat if all the sets included a variant of the franchise’s main character as a way of celebrating the franchise.

I'm not the biggest prequel fan, but I would definitely get that set.

I hope they do it, especially since most pieces they would need are in production now anyway? I guess we'll be seeing MOC's of such fighters as soon as the bricks land on PAB.

They generally have different hoods and fur colors. As for rebels, I mean, come on. Aside from two rebels having the same expression on their face being a much smaller deal than two entirely identical ewoks... you can just swap out the heads with the ones under the storm/scout troopers in the same set, or other heads. It's a very simple fix, whereas the ewok literally cannot be altered to appear as a different one in a purist manner.

Except not only did it take forever to finally get and include a cancellation, it is based on an action scene you can actually play out, is more traditional SW vehicles with airspeeders rather than a ...submarine, and is on the lower-medium end of set pricing. The gungan sub is a giant (both previous versions would be $100 off inflation alone nowadays, and that's not counting any of lego's own increases) noncombat vehicle that doesn't fit standard SW design schemes, can't play out the one scene it has without dedicating more of the piece count to a giant fish monster, and unlike Zam in the speeder chase has no desirable figures tied to it that couldn't easily be included in much cheaper or less risky sets.

I'm not saying SWOTOR stuff is remotely likely, especially given lego tends to ignore games, but aside from the KOTOR remake having actually made it out of development hell and found it's studio, we've got FOTOR coming. Not to mention we do every once in awhile randomly get deep cuts. So yes, if I actually had to place a bet, I'd say it's more likely lego goes "hey, let's make a new one of those TIE-like ships with that figure we know goes for hundreds of bucks on bricklink" than "let's make a set at the same price point but it's a noncombat submarine with no desirable figs tied to it that couldn't be included in an AAT or literally any other naboo set"

It's possible, but I think it's a theory off a theory. We still don't know that the Bounty Hunter Pursuit set is part of the anniversary collection. Technically speaking I guess the only one we know for sure is Mustafar.

Look back at the movie, a lot of them really do look quite similar. If you build an Endor MOC you'd probably have to use some identical ones. The Ewok village set coming out is rumored to be $180 right? it's probably not gonna have as many ewoks as 2013 so It'd be nice to get a couple extra. Not everyone has a bunch of spare heads around, it's bound to be an issue if you buy 5+ sets.

But we did get it, just like Gungan sub will get.

You can play out the scene with the Gungan sub too.

We got SW mechs, we can get another submarine.

Lego downscales everything these days, they could make it $80ish.

We've gotten Podracers which fits that criteria from the same movie. TONS of sets come without an enemy counterpart.

So "every once in awhile we randomly get deep cuts" can be applied to SWTOR sets but not the Gungan Sub... Sure. They could include both Queen Amidala and Boss Nass, along with Qui Gon, Obi Wan and Jar Jar. That is an absolute stellar fig lineup. You'd get all the main characters besides Maul and Anakin.

If you buy 5+ sets you may run into an issue where some of your rebels, if you look closely, have the same expression. But at that point you also have 5+ ewoks with the same fur and hood color, which I'm just saying is a larger issue.

Well, no, you can play out them entering and exiting a submarine, but I don't think you'd get many kids spending $100 for a big submarine to get chased by an imaginary big fish, I just don't think that's what they look for in star wars.

The mech thing I think shows that I'm not effectively communicating my point as to why I think a Gungan Sub is so unlikely. We get the little $15 gimmick mechs despite them being non canon because they're fundamentally a cheap and cool toy for kids. This is a similar reason to why I think that while still very unlikely, a new fury class or liberator is more likely than something like the gungan sub- at the end of the day, starfighters with sick, unique troopers and jedi and sith are cooler than a submarine with 2 jedi that could easily be in cheaper sets, the village idiot and possibly the queen or boss nass- who could also easily be in cheaper or more iconic sets.

$80 isn't much better, but even then the sub runs into the constraint of having three separate cockpits that must all fit a minifigure, which limits the ability to downsize it.

I think podracers and podracing is in general something that would attract kids a lot more than a submarine, and it's also a much more iconic scene in the movie, but even then, we've had one $30 podracer since all the new content started in 2015 and that's it. Now i don't think a larger podrace set is out of the question, but clearly it's not very likely. And I think we'd get one way before the submarine. As for sets without an enemy counterpart, let's not say that's remotely similar, right? There's clearly a pretty big difference between an ARC-170 that only comes with republic characters and a gungan personal transport. This is one of the reasons TPM rarely gets sets- it lacks the standing galactic army for the heroes all other films have. You have the naboo security force, but objectively speaking lego seems to regard them as the least interesting of the major hero factions- we haven't gotten anything for them since the new movies started. And the gungan sub isn't even a weaponized vehicle or part of that force, so it's a level beyond that.

I think both of those characters could easily be put in much cheaper or more iconic sets, yes.

Again I think this comes down to me not having effectively communicated to you why I believe the gungan sub is so unlikely. When lego makes a deep cut like this, it's because they thing the vehicle they're grabbing would make a great toy. This is also why we get stuff like the mechs, or the lego-original stuff like Jedi Bob starfighter, or Evil Falcon (though the latter seems to have been a bad guess on lego's part). With how much content is out there in the disney era, the days are gone where every vehicle that appeared in one of the movies has a good shot at a set. With how few TPM sets we get in general, I think it's much more likely we see the queen alongside a naboo starfighter, or flash speeder, or boss nass alongside an AAT or MTT. And of course the TPM jedi and Jar Jar can show up in pretty much any TPM set- not that lego seems all that interested in TPM sets or putting Jar Jar in sets seeing as the only place we've had him since the new content started increasing was Darth Jar Jar in the Evil Falcon.

I don't work for lego- they aren't asking me what sets to make, as much as this coming January may align with what I would have told them (aside from the two 18+ sets). But no, unless they make some major changes to how they determine what sets to make, or the gungan sub appears in a new project, I don't think we're going to see one.

Speaking of The Phantom Menace, I found the time to rebuild the 2007 Sith Infiltrator (7663) over the weekend. It still looks great, visually. I haven't seen the more recent versions in person, but from images I honestly think 2007 holds up as the best looking.

It's got two nice, big printed pieces on the cockpit, although I think it's a weird choice they made to make a detailed print for the ship's butt where you generally won't see it. In general it's the right amount of smooth - sleek, but still obviously Lego. The landing gear works well and the excellent-looking wings can be folded in and out nicely for landing or flight.

Where this set suffers a bit is in outdated/flimsy building techniques, like a lot of older Star Wars Lego. The front of the ship slides off to let you get at the probe droids and Maul's equipment. But the slide feature is only attached by 4 studs, and unless you're quite careful you'll end up yanking the front entirely off instead of smoothly sliding it out. The cockpit opens up vertically to let Maul in, but again the connection and function is sketchy. And Maul has his little speeder, but it comes apart extremely easily and he can't actually sit on it.

This set also has one of the first attempts at flick-fire missiles, but they're just technic axles instead of pins, so they slide right out if you ever tilt the ship downwards. I swapped them for newer flick-fire missiles.

The other way it suffers in comparison to newer sets is the figures. It's just Maul in this one, and he looks good to be fair. He's got the chrome light saber and a hood on instead of the little horn hat they give him sometimes now. (Don't like that.) But there's nobody for him to interact with even though the ship is clearly doing the Tattooine ambush scene. Later sets give you Qui-Gon or some other people to interact.

As a kid this never stopped me from making Maul the big bad of any encounter, but it's definitely better now that he gets some cast to hunt down. Shame they've still never done the Naboo Royal Starship. Would pair perfectly with any Infiltrator.

I'm excited to have Maul with me at work. I'll let him scout out the cubicle with his probe droids and little binoculars for the next few weeks.

@CloneCommando99 I think you might be onto something with the 2027 sets covering every ‘era’ of Anakin Skywalker’s life as the mascot of the franchise. We’re getting minifigures of his AotC, TCW, RotS and OT appearances; getting minifigures of him as a child and Force Ghost doesn’t seem too far fetched.

On that note, I wonder if Duel on Mustafar will have Anakin with a double-sided head with the alternate face being his battle damaged look. On further thought probably not because by removing his hair piece, his normal face would still be visible on the back.

@Mandalorianknight Great points about other existing moulds they can use for RotS Anakin’s hair. Although for some reason, I really dislike the mullet piece they introduced with TLJ Luke.

As much as the end result will no doubt cause some unhappiness amongst us, I’m still floored at how good this set list is. The very prospect of really looking forward to a winter wave has been relatively unheard of for me since before TRoS released. I do still think some of the other January sets will include the concept figures due to being based on films from the main saga too.

I can’t wait to see the packaging design for the 50th anniversary sets too. The official logo for next year looks amazing in gold, I hope that theme is carried over onto the box art for 2027.

To me it's just not an issue to have a few of the same Ewoks, if it is to you that's fine. There's also the fact that if they include an Ewok, they can include the gilder and catapult which would be cool.

Maybe it's just me, but as a kid I'd have all kinds of different adventures with vehicles. I wouldn't just recreate movie scenes, to me that lacks some imagination. Gungan Sub doesn't feel any less Star Warsy to me than other things, but I did grow up with the prequels. I didn't have the Gungan Sub as a kid but I'm sure I would've had lots of fun with it.

I agree that it's unlikely, but I just wouldn't proclaim it's never getting a remake. Clearly they thought it worthy to get a remake once, and yes I know that was a different time but clearly it's not that horrid of an idea or they never would've remade it. Years down the line maybe they've recently remade the more iconic stuff from TPM and it's an anniversary year so they decide to remake it, you never know.

The old cockpits were quite big they could downscale it a little.

"TPM menace rarely gets sets" isn't true at all. It has one more set than ESB and double the sets from AOTC. Source: https://brickset.com/sets/theme-Star-Wars

I don't think these factors actually matter much. TPM in modern era gets less sets like the other PT and OT films because of more content and less playsets overall.

The Gungan Sub being a more expensive set allows them to put a more niche/irrelevant characters in it. The last TPM ATT included one figure not counting b1s, the Clone Wars AAT included two, they're not going to waste a slot on a character like Boss Nass or Queen Amidala who can't fight, they might include the battle outfit she wears.

SWTOR stuff it super unlikely because LEGO said they wouldn't even make JFO sets, they're definitely not making SWTOR sets. Like there's no way we're getting a Sith fury class interceptor remake before a Mantis set. SWTOR sets being made is basically impossible unless Lego changes their stance or the ships somehow shows up in a movie.

Again I don't think the Gungan Sub is super likely or anything, but after an N1, duel on naboo, AAT and podracer it's the next logical TPM set. Also cheapest sealed Gungan Sub on BL is $750! There is definitely some demand even if it's partly because of Queen Amidala.

This is my favorite Sith Infiltrator as well, I love the printed pieces and lack of stickers. it's also the only one to get the curved wings right, and has my favorite Darth Maul.

Yes, absolutely no stickers is great! And means it's held up well from 2007. I did notice looking it up that the newer Sith Infiltrators are like twice the size. Didn't realize they'd become so huge.

Honestly I don't think we ever see the Gungan Sub again.

Woah woah woah there... don't say that!

The chance is definitely there, yes.

That's what I thought back when the 33% price increase happened. At least by then I was fairly certain, given the drastic jump, the price point would stay there for a while, but it didn't. It's back for some of us european folks, while you guys are charged 23 bucks for a single Battle Pack. I remember when the first 332nd BP was advertised for 27€ in the Lego catalogue, but that may have been a pricing error on their end. Let me put it this way... I believe it when I see it. Until then, I'm trusting Lego to keep on doing Lego things.

Speaking of more Lego things... Be careful, some Lego guys are reading Eurobricks postings, I heard. Let's not give them any more ideas to work with.

Well, the 2024 Super Battle Pack was or still is selling like hotcakes. This has to be due to people buying multiple sets for their own to some extent. So I wouldn't doubt several people still army building bigger Battle Packs if the value is just there for them, but you may have implied as much.

That being said, as I only get a single set of anything, I actually wouldn't have any reason for being upset if they included a single Ewok. Just want enough Endor Rebel Scum™ in it, because it has been a whole while.

We’re definitely getting Anakin minifigs for AotC, RotS and ESB (Vader). There’s also a non-zero chance force ghost Anakin is in the Ewok Village. And there’s also a chance that the Y-Wing could come with Mcquarrie Vader.

Personally wouldn't bet on that. If it was a true successor to the 2013 one, that being MBS style with 20+ minifigs for like 400 bucks, the chances of force ghosts would be quite decent. But as an equivalent to the 2024 Yavin 4 Temple with a dozen minifigures or so... not so much. They'll make every slot count, then.

You're really just gonna ignore Queen Amidala and Boss Nass. And no there aren't many cheaper sets where they'd make more sense.

It's treason, then. To me, in terms of obscurity, they're at least on the same level as Zam Wesell. So I wouldn't think they are more unlikely to reappear in a set than Bounty Hunter Pursuit.

@Mandalorianknight It's not that I think Boss Nass or Queen Amidala minifigs couldn't be put in other sets than the Gungun Sub. It's just that I don't think most of these sets are more likely to get remade than that.

We can argue the semantics of "if they downscale it maybe it would only be $90" or whatever, but at the end of the day it doesn't matter to the overall point. It's still a fairly large set based on something that's not even in the upper echelon of set material in a somewhat neglected movie. TPM has gotten one playset in the 2020s/since the start of the modern era. Three in the last ten years. It absolutely gets fewer sets than the other movies/eras (besides ofc the sequels), even if you don't account for the TCW stuff that's shared with AOTC/ROTS. AOTC's the only one that's even close. And those factors absolutely contribute- do you think lego's remotely as likely to make a naboo security or gungan battle pack- or set in general- as they are for clones, imperials, mandalorians, rebels, etc?

Me saying that isn't a "proclamation" or anything, it doesn't stop it from getting a set, it's just something I think.

MARA JADE! TIE AVENGER! MARA JADE!

I recently found out she has her own version of the lambda and have decided that should be our next microfighter. Or UCS set. You know, whatever they have room for.

Agreed. Marvel's fig list is out, and the implication is some leakers do have at least partial fig lists here. This wave has a lot of potential- it's going to be the best January in some time no matter what, but if they allocate fig slots right this could be the best wave of the modern era.

Don't worry, there's plenty of other places Boss Nass could appear if lego wants to do so. He'd make a good draw to get the @BrickBob Studpantses of the world to buy another AAT

The more I think about it the more I do think there's a good chance at it. Now that fourth fig could just be R2 or something- which would be unfortunate but kind of funny.

Fair.

Do it, lego. It will bankrupt your company. (In all honesty yeah, I believe a few designers have said they read the forums (Hi. Mara Jade, please.), though I doubt it correlates to actually getting sets. We are a very very small minority here, and even if lego was scouring social media for ideas, newer-style social media with a like feature would be a lot more helpful to them since they can see how popular ideas are with thousands of likes rather than a few people quoting it.

I think that's about right, though unlike the other two Zam is a bounty hunter who plays an action role in the movie. That said, I don't think it was much more likely for us to be getting Zam than it is for us to get a Queen Amidala or Boss Nass eventually- I just think they'd be in another set. If anything I think Zam helped Bounty Hunter pursuit's odds, as it's literally the only set that could include her.

I don't know. Off the top of my head the N-1, MTT,  AAT, etc are all more likely options to include either of those characters- I could also see a small location set for the queen's rescue. Podracer and Sith Infiltrator too of course (especially the infiltrator because it's a Maul set)- but those of course wouldn't include the specific figs we're talking about.

I definitely thought of you when I was talking about Boss Nass. He'd fit so perfectly in the Gungan sub since he was in the scene right before it showed up. I honestly can't see him realistically showing up in another set like the AAT.

You're right they could make it a $100 and it'd still be popular.

TPM really isn't that far behind the other subthemes in the 2020s most of 1-6 movies have only gotten a few playsets, ESB hasn't gotten a playset since 2022. The set numbers also just don't support what you're saying, in total it only has 6 less sets than ANH and ROTJ, and 8 less than ROTS, but it has double the sets AOTC has and one more than ESB. I even gave you a link so you could see for yourself. TPM sets only declined after 2015 because of the large influx of new stuff.

Were not talking about battle packs are we? Moot point.

Another problem is you say Lego doesn't want to make "non combat vehicles" from Star Wars but it's more so the case that there are so few non combat vehicles for them to even make. Most Star Wars vehicles are combat related so of course most LSW sets will be.

As I said before, there are sets I think they'd remake sooner than Gungan Sub, but it's not a set I'd boldly claim will NEVER get a remake in the entire future existence of LSW.

Yeah I never cared for the larger ones much since I felt they didn't do much with the extra space. They're also still far from minifig scale.

The overwhelmingly positive response to this wave is kinda baffling to me. I remember the good ol days when waves like this used to get ripped a new one :laugh_hard:

I understand that some of these haven‘t been seen in years, but the playsets are all remakes of sets we’ve seen multiple times before. It’s the third Anakin’s yellow Delta JSF, the fourth Mustafar Duel, the fourth Bespin Duel, the sixth OT/RO Y-Wing, and one of many many Battle of Endor sets.

I feel remakes these days should focus more on vehicles we haven’t seen that much before, like the Bounty Hunter Pursuit. That one’s actually exciting since it’s never been remade!

And don’t get me started on the minifigs. We haven’t seen a list yet, but this could actually end up worse than the 1HY 2021 line-up. That one at least had Dodonna! The anniversary minifigs are a brilliant idea, but they cannot save this wave alone.

At least I have the Starfighter and Ahsoka S2 sets to look forward to :snicker:
