LEGO Star Wars Set Discussion 2026 - READ FIRST POST!!!

The V-19 Torrent made me believe that you won't necessarily have to do the absolute no-brainer sets in order to bring back a long lost main character to store shelves. There's definitely room for improvisation. Yes, a reasonably detailed minifigure should be worth more than a regular R2, which is still not as cheap as a standard B1. You basically do the infamous sand line and just replace it with dust. It would have been a fitting opportunity for sure, but I don't blame them for going the concept figure route. Considering it's a general Star Wars anniversary first, it does make even more sense to explore the origins of it all. Force Ghost figures can still be done for the 30th LSW anniversary in 2029. Still crazy to think we haven't received any of those up until this point, though. -

Yeah, If i want to get reminded how it was made or how it's all fake, I watch some Making Of's or Behind the Scenes documentary. Fully aware that you could apply this principle to literally everything. Yep, me too. I give Lego credit for what seems like conceptually good ideas. But since it's all tied to display pieces only, it's not for me. However, that doesn't bother me. I'm used to getting but a fraction of their overall output and that's fine. However, what does bother me is when they still spread a few anniversary figures to less desirable sub-themes. As far as anniversary extras go, a clear distinction between play scale sets and display pieces would have been appreciated. Especially when they even have a whole line of the latter prepared and in place for the movie posters. Truly no need to further mix things up. Yeah, sometimes you try to search for possible explanations for things you already understand. Like, you get it in theory, but you really want to make it make sense in practice or something. Nevertheless, the fact we got a new Ventress before Dooku will never not be funny to me. While I'm glad we got her again for sure, this wasn't exactly on my bingo card. Oh yeah, that makes sense. Your posting that is. Lego's perception of minifigure budget... not so much? Like I can't see how the 37th R2 has the same budget as a new minifigure. More than regular Battle Droids? Sure. Doesn't get much cheaper than that. But not as much as doing, say, some new torso and leg prints. I don't know, it's always difficult to judge these things from the outside perspective. And I can definitely imagine such a set, but not for Lego. And sure as hell not for Star Wars. Oh, that's brilliant. From now in, this will be my go-to explanation that prevents me from doing what needs to be done. So I shall never dust off this great set ever again. Sure thing... go ahead. I actually borrowed it myself. My guess would be a Christmas Falcon if it ain't yet another UCS one. They might do anything besides bringing a new play scale OT themed MF to the table. -

Oh shoot, it's totally going to happen now, right? I seriously don't understand why it takes Lego this long to bring him back. It's gotta be due to the limited set compatibility. As the minifigure on it's own requiring only slight updates here and there is nothing to write home about. Yep, we already talked about this a couple of times. It's a very sleek looking speeder. Definitely one of the better designed Battle Pack side-builds, I give them that. We also touched on this topic before as well. What Lego officially classifies as minifigure might vary be region. At least as far as their marketing efforts are concerned. In the official german product descriptions, be it the Lego Shop/Amazon/you name it, Astromechs are not counted towards the total minifigure count. It goes like this: "Includes 3 minifigures: A, B, C AND Astromech X as an additional figure." In either case, my point still stands, R2 will 99% be a repeat, so they only have to care for Anakin. Which I want to clarify as well, I heavily prefer him to be in his early TCW navy/maroon General outfit. Give us something special we don't get every single time when he releases in one of his Starships. I want a true equivalent standing toe to toe with last year's General Obi-Wan figure. Yes, it is. And yep... you're right. It's not terribly visible on the Mos Eisley Cantina itself. The dust is only noticable around the outskirts due to the black table. I love it when Lego basically has no viable option to include miscolored pieces, because they would stick out too much like a sore thumb. So I always appreciated the Cantina doesn't look like it was vomitted by some rainbow unicorn all over the place. -
I just got the 2025 MTT. It won't be mine, but I look forward to assist building and toying around with it regardless.

Those are just most of the gifts from my significant other, but yeah... she does. Yes and yes. Though I do think the brand new head mould kinda makes up for the price increase. A little easier pill to swallow, if you will. Can you actually imagine Lego doing a buildable Count Dooku or BrickHeadz before doing a new minifigure? Not even they could be this tone deaf, could they? Even though they did the TPM BrickHeadz featuring some desirable characters we haven't seen in minifigure form for quite some time... The two Maul Mandos are good enough of an excuse, though. They were for me, too. Ah, a man with an acquired taste, I see. Koh-to-yah Mando man's dad. Yes. That approach can't exactly hurt nowadays. If the aforementioned sets (Bespin/Mustafar/Y-Wing) contain some legitimately great builds, there could always be something on top of the Starfighter. But since it will be my birthday this time around, there basically will be anyways. Like either one of those three sets or something big from 2026. Dude, I'm telling you, I said I was gonna scream if we don't get an detailed General Skywalker. Since Astromechs don't technically count as one and R2 is just, well, another R2... you literally have just this single one minifigure to care for. So they better make it count and do the only right thing here. Otherwise they can sell this set to people who don't care and/or don't know the difference... which would still be more than enough, I suppose. Oh, it definitely is my holy grail of Lego Star Wars sets. I got it displayed on one of those cheap little black IKEA tables in the living room. It ain't exactly ideal, especially when it's very prone to collecting dust out in the open rather quickly, but it's still my proudest prosession to date. -

That's the thing... I wouldn't consider AOTC "losing out" being a big deal if we won't get another set next year. As far as Lego Star Wars anniversary standards go, getting a set like the Bounty Hunter Pursuit, I would still put it in the above average category. I mean, arguably the best thing happened to TPM last time around was a GWP locked behind a hefty paywall. Considering the amount of content we were and still are getting since the Disney takeover, we would generally be wise to remember that doing every Star Wars anniversaries justice gets harder every year. Especially when you have this overlap between LSW/SW and TPM/AOTC occasions. Ha, your only real Lego Star Wars purchase being the second 332nd Battle Pack (because of Mando appreciation) the last couple of years is kinda on the diabolical side. My 2025/2026 looked a little different than yours. Still getting many of the smaller to mid sized sized sets in the same year. With occasional flagship sets to catch up the years after. Yet I still got but a fraction of the overall releases every year. If I were to recommend you one set to get before it retires, my personal bias admittedly at play here as well, it would be Plo Koon's Microfighter. Even if you don't find it significantly discounted, it's still a low price to pay. And you treat yourself to a magnificent minifigure the maker knows when is showing up again. Just bricklinking him would also be an option, I guess. That would be quite a stepup as far as your Lego purchasing behavior of the last two years is concerned. Right now, I only got Anakin's Delta-7B Starfighter looked in, assuming Lego does the only right thing for the ship owners figure. But the Duel on Mustafar, Bespin and Y-Wing are likely wait for sale candidates for me. A little bit of both, I think. A substantial January wave that goes hand in hand with the right set selection makes this an unusual strong offering. Ha, I got basically little else than Lego Star Wars birthday gifts for the last eight years. They're as follows: 2018: 75172 Y-Wing Starfighter 2019: 75218 X-Wing Starfighter 2020: 75243 Slave 1 20th Anniversary Edition 2021: 75288 AT-AT 2022: 75322 Hoth AT-ST & 75320 Snowtrooper Battle Pack 2023: 75337 AT-TE Walker 2024: 75290 MBS Mos Eisley Cantina 2025: 75402 ARC-170 Starfighter & 75401 Ahsoka's Jedi Interceptor 2026: 75432 V-19 Torrent Starfighter & 75437 Cobb Vanth's Speeder -

To put it mildly, it's definitely not the greatest time to be a Lego DC fan. But yeah, it's at least somewhat nice to see some designer's mindshare about things they arguably have or had to neglect for quite some time. I think the high likelihood that we're getting the long overdue Bounty Hunter Pursuit Remake is enough to accommodate AOTC's 25th anniversary. Like, I would have been happy with such a highlight set for TPM two years ago. But at the same time, I'm definitely among the last people who would refuse a slightly updated Count Dooku minifigure to release next year as well. So like I said... would love to be proven wrong for this one. I feel somewhat similar about this. Not quite on the same scale as yours, because January 2027 could end up topping just my 2026, so I'm only like halfway there compared to yourself, but yes... It's a presence I haven't felt since... partially 2025. And yep, suddenly the new Y-Wing looks a lot more attractive to me. I don't know about Eurobricks character limits per posting, or if it's even technically possible due to your postings spanning multiple threads, but I swear to the maker... If this noble crusade of ours actually ends up being successful someday, I will try to compile EVERY one of your TIE Avenger summonings into one gigantic novel for everyone to enjoy. -

There was also a cheeky little nod from one of the lead minifigure designers when asked about this particular Padmé sticker and the possibility of a Geonosis based set in the foreseeable future, hence why I mentioned it. It can obviously mean anything. Which is fantastic news as far as the Star Wars theme is concerned. It's like I said... We need Lego to be smart about dumb sets, not the other way around. It truly felt like party like it was the 2010's. Just fascinating how the price discrepancy can be this huge between different licensed themes. You end up wondering whether this was on purpose or someone just left the wrong elevator or something. And I could never imagine them ruining a cult classic trilogy such as this. And I hope neither could holy Hollywood! Yes, that has to be the case to some extent. People fear the unknown. Or in the Smart Play™ case... they tear it apart. So you better have some actual exciting news up your sleeve for some good old damage control to soften the incoming blow. Yeah, these two Duel sets probably go hand in hand at this point. While the shot of anniversary figures being only included in those type of sets is out of the window by now, so too does it make the Yoda vs. Dooku set, long overdue and logical as it definitely is, less likely to show up. Even though two AOTC sets releasing in the same year were pretty unlikely to begin with. Would obviously love to be wrong on this one. Yep, you already answered your own question. It's not about enticing non-Lego people who don't care about minifigs in the first place. As you already have this casual crowd in the bag with those type of sets. It's to tempt the more seasoned collector's of the theme to buy something they don't want or need just for that single exclusive minifig. They basically want to kill two birds with one stone. And yes, it's absolutely annoying when you're more on the latter side of things. -

Oh yeah, I get some cultural shock with some of you guys all the time. Three words: american cooking videos. Of course being fully aware there's generally a difference between America and U.S.A. And even then a lot of things *caugh* taxes *caugh* do vary by state. But phew... there are some mighty fine differences between the US and Europe. As far as my wishful thinking department inside my mind palace goes... Geonosis Padmé is coming in either a MBS style or Yavin 4 larger playset kind of Petranaki-Arena. One sticker, serving as an easter egg, from the UCS Death Star actually depicted her in this outfit. They always tease the next big thing in The Lord of the Rings theme via those Palantir printings. Would be cool to see this more often or at all for Star Wars. Other than that, given that next year's set coverage considerably revolves around special circumstances, I don't think we know for certain whether the Clone Extravaganza™ truly ended until at least 2028. Yep, exactly. It will bite them back full force eventually. The Lego group nearly went bankrupt in the early 2000s and only avoided it by completely reversing ship and making some smart, if overdue, decisions. This will happen again if they push their luck too far. It's just every once in a while you witness the return of some long lost themes and their pricing is so far removed from we're used to by now. Remember the Indiana Jones revival just a couple years back? Have you seen these genuinely reasonable prices? For a licensed theme, if I'm not completely wrong also owned by Disney by now, no less. It truly felt like living in another timeline. Yeah, we just judge and speculate stuff as we move along and see fit. And I would be eager to see some updated design for the Diorama Collection. Getting rid of the bases altogether could prove to be a great move. Now if only we could actually end up getting some more exciting minifigures. Not necessarily talking about the sets we're getting. Like we said, if they end up being no play sets at all, it recontextualizes things. But other possible sets. Like two sets for finally getting a new Dooku alone. -

Yep, that's the thing. I'm somewhat torn when it comes to managing expectations on a set-by-set-basis. For one set, I can keep everything in check and it's alright, like Anakin's Jedi Starfighter. For other sets, like the Mustafar Duel you just mentioned, not so much. While it's nothing extra to adjust expectations based on what sets have in store for you, it's sometimes tough to differentiate between being realistic and pessimistic. Making it a little bit more complicated to convey thoughts and feelings as.you, well, think and feel them. No, we do not. It's impossible. Even if we had some sort of "perfect balance" on paper, like evenly split set coverage across every major era, in practice, we would discuss "why has this era got the flagship set, why has this theme no exciting new minifigs" and so on. Glad you're noticed I was gone! And I will never be so happy to have an AC installed in our apartment next year. And yes, that's right. AC isn't nearly as common here as it is for you guys. And right again, european homes are usually designed to keep the warmth for winter... Which made a lot of sense at the time, since the heat was never as bad it was now. I mean, we just literally had the hottest June ever recorded. So yeah... incredibly unlucky in these changing times, I guess. Well, okay, not gonna lie, it makes a lot of sense if you put it like that. The lack of action sequences she's in, the potentially incompatible target audience etc. Maybe that's my way of asking for a Geonosis Padmé... or anything related to that battle at all. And yes, the fact we got an updated TCW Padmé in one of them precious Clone Bro™ sets is even more funny in hindsight. You see, it's just crazy in a way that you have a main character (that existed as long as the theme does) with this many colorful varied outfits receiving so few official minifigs, even if you can reasonably explain it like you just did. You just don't see this with many other LSW characters out there. That's why I always called and considered the PT the biggest treasure troves of them all. Yep, they take action to keep on increasing prices as long as they CAN possibly get away with it. But they only lower price points if they absolutely HAVE to. Which sounds like business sense 101 at first, making the most of it with as little as possible, probably is, but they're taking it to such an extreme level that I frankly find it absurd at this point. Yeah... If those Duels are indeed new additions to the Diorama Collection, it changes my perception of the value at hand. You wouldn't expect the same amount of minifigures for an intended display piece as you would for an actual play set. Critical as I can be, especially when it comes to getting long overdue PT minifigures, I'm willing to adapt in due time. Yeah, I'm aware of that. That knowledge gives me all the more reason to enjoy it while it lasts, though! Oh, it definitely can both go hand in hand as far as Lego Star Wars standards are concerned. That's just me saying "well, it shouldn't be the same!" The standard should have the high ground over the bare minimum by the maker damn it! I absolutely agree. The anniversary figures shouldn't detract from the regular line-up. People can also say what they want about Fives, but he was a true bonus figure and that was just two years ago! I expected nothing less from you. Only annoyed? How nice for you! For mine it entered dangerously close, life-threatening territory. I would quite like typical UK weather. I actually love rainy weather and all. And that's funny, because I was talking about "enduring the Twin Suns of Tatooine" in here before when the heatwave started. -

Having successfully survived this unbearable heatwave, I now have regained the necessary life essence for some good old Eurobricks action. Yeah, the set choices are fine by me. Still boggles my mind how Padmé is this neglected as a minifigure by Lego. No amount of Clone Craziness™ or TPM/AOTC set shortage can change that feeling. Only more various inclusions could. Yep, that's what I immediately thought about the 2024 Super Battle Pack. For Lego Star Wars standards, it delivers outstanding good value. Too good to be true, I thought. They wouldn't stick with this price point any longer than they basically had to, I felt. So imagine my surprise (not at all) when the pricing of the 327th BP was leaked just a year later. Now supposedly this... depending on where you live, yet another 50% price increase. For the standard BP this time around, because variety is the spice of life or something. It's truly getting out of hand. I know this ain't exactly a mere Lego problem when literally everything out there, the toy business prominently featured as well, is getting consistently more expensive. But it ain't just due to the ongoing unstable economic environment either. It's a mixture of that and some unholy corporate greed. You put those two together and you're getting to the price points we're about to reach and already accustumed to. No, no, no... I'm not trying to disregard the concept arts figures whatsoever. No disintegrations, you know. But maybe I do come across as dismissive about them to some extent. In any case, all I'm trying to convey is... As much as I'm looking forward to those minifigures and can appreciate the idea (that they clearly stole from Eurobricks) behind them, this shouldn't be some either/or type of situation. Anniversary figures shouldn't prevent any play scale sets from having what I would consider a reasonable minifigure line-up to stand on their own. Making the anniversary figure a true bonus inclusion on top of that. Look, let's just agree to disagree, then. What you would call "standard", I would consider as "bare minimum". I agree and disagree with you at the same time. Time and time again Lego doesn't move the needle any more than they absolutely have to, yes. But they're still, especially the last few years I felt like, delivering this element of surprise in terms of special minifigure inclusions. They definitely could have just included Obi-Wan and R4 in the Starfighter and called it a day, but they didn't. They kinda went the extra mile and made Taun We two decades after AOTC hit theaters. The thing is, there's just no consistency across the board with their output, because the design team has to constantly prioritize different things for different sets aimed at different audiences, which can make it a gamble every time a fitting opportunity presents itself. Yeah, I'm in this weird spot between being cautiously optimistic and just trying to be realistic here... with the latter often feeling like coming across as more pessimistic as you're intending to be. Putting things into perspective and discussing the perception of value is the key to all of this. 110%. You're bound to do this forever. If that's gonna happen, I'm going to scream. There absolutely can't be another 2020 Mustafar Obi-Wan kinda situation. I mean, of course there can be, it's Lego... but there definitely shouldn't be. But with the leaks speaking of an "early TCW Anakin", it sounds like the actual General version that he is in dire need of a modern makeover. It just needs to be detailed as heck! So what we need is a 2025 TCW Obi-Wan situation. -

You're kinda making it tough to add more stuff with your suggestions being this reasonable and all. The only thing I would change is the two additional minifigures for the Battle Pack and rather stick with the old price point. And maybe throw a Lobot figure into the Bespin mix. -

Yep, boring or uninspiring is a good way to put it. And the maker knows if substantial January waves are back for real, or if this is just a one and done deal for the occasion. In any case, we need more surprising aspects for the rest of 2027. I completely agree with you on this sentiment. The meals may lay ready in front of you on the table. But as delicious as they look like... there are just a couple of ingredients missing to spice things up and make it special. I'm gonna be painfully honest with you, without the Cobb Vanth's Speeder set, I would perceive this year in another light entirely. At least as far as the calendar year is concerned. As I will still get some of the big sets later down the line. I obviously can't ignore the Sand Crawler and Imperial Shuttle being factually releasing in 2026 just because I receive them a year later or so. I wanted to touch on this topic when we got the leaked set list and you voiced your concern about it... The more stuff anyone owns already, the harder it may be to please that person. Like, how do you satisfy anyone who has the majority of sets released up to this point? But when you go a little bit more in-depth, your expectations doesn't exactly come across as rocket science. Like, you don't seem that hard to please after all, to be fair. Not that much harder than I am, at least. -

Yes, exactly... We know there's two sets (well, one now) that could theoretically include one of her numerous variants. Yet her Theed outfit is more likely or needed given it's iconic in-universe status. And more unlikely at the same time given the rarity of TPM sets as of late. I don't know... It's an irony in and of itself, if that makes sense. Fully aware we all get to decide what stance we take on in here, but doesn't that speak volumes the way you phrase it? You have to be "optimistic" for not linking the leaked 30 bucks to yet another egregious price increase? And I actually have to be this "pessimistic" to trust Lego's ability to do so? It kinda shows how far we've come with all this economic madness. In the middle of it all lies the "realistic" expectation. But the lines between this and the former two were just never this blurred. Not really necessary for any given set is one thing. But you can't deny this hardly excites anyone who is collecting the theme for a while by now... which is partially why you see such a disappointing response from many users in here... understandably so. Lego actually showed time and time again that they're able to re-release iconic sets, while also sprinkle in some exclusive new minifigures, to entice more seasoned fans to double-dip. But when they don't do that now, for the 50th Star Wars anniversary they clearly acknowledge no less, yeah... this definitely becomes a topic of discussion. Yep, and playing it super safe ain't gonna cut it for people who want be feel excited about what's to come. Precisely. I'm still far from calling this one the "worst Lego Star Wars wave ever existed", when there wasn't much of a January wave the last couple of years to begin with. It's just that the minifigure selection can't match the set ideas on paper. I want to highlight the distinction between the two. I was at least expecting something less ordinary when it comes to the regular minifigures. Not necessarily counting on Count Dooku in an $30 Jedi Starfighter that historically never came with anything but Anakin & R2... but something more in sets where you might have other perception of value. That's the key word here... *Regardless* of the anniversary figures. -

Well yeah, a standard figure selection wouldn't have been as noticable in any other year, but for the 50th year of Lego Star Wars I expected more than this. Yeah, that's where the anniversary figures come in, but when it's pretty obvious they're not a bonus and just replace a regular figure from the set, you got nothing left. It's overall appeal shouldn't wholly depend on that. As assumed, it killed the third figure in the Mustafar Duel and I'm actually sick of getting three figures in a supposed $80 play set for the Bespin Duel. Yes, the actual builds might turn out solid and tip me over sooner or later. But this seems to be such a shame. As Lego clearly thought about this whole thing and wanted to do something special. But the minifigure line-ups just doesn't live up to that when all I can see so far is the bare minimum. -

I freaking knew it the moment I saw that price tag! I thought I might have gone too crazy for even considering it, but nope... 50% price increase for regular Battle Packs, everybody! Lego must have thought they couldn't sell the regular ones for like half the price compared to the bigger ones. So it's only natural that you significantly raise the price of the former. If true and there's nothing more to it, they can honestly go force themselves with their sickening corporate greed. Now you need 33% discount to just reach the old Euro price point you may still feel uncomfortable with. As excited as I was for some of the sets themselves, I must admit these minifigure line-ups are unbelievably uninspiring. There is like zero element of surprise at play here. Nothing beyond the ordinary. Of course you don't get another figure for both The Duel on Mustafar and Bespin. It's obviously just Anakin and R2 again for the Starfighter... at least the former will probably be a standout figure. Not too sure about the Y-Wing, but it doesn't sound promising. As a first impression, I'm actually a little angry. They had the chance to do something amazing and it took only some tweaks here and there to achieve it, but apparently they didn't. They blew it. Yes, there are still some actual builds behind the sets and some potentially cool anniversary figures. But right now I'm not filled with the utmost confidence that they will be enough to make me get some of these things. -

Yeah, they definitely got the memo by now. I think the annual polls about the best extras included in each Magazine helped them to steer in the right direction. I mean, how many kids in their right mind would prefer those micro-builds over actual minifigures? At least on the official distribution website, Blue Ocean, you are able to order 20 units per Magazine. Oh, I see. I'm generally not that well aware when Lego retired which piece, but having just looked at it, I can totally understand why they did. What the heck, it looks super funky on the minifigure you mentioned. Definitely getting something brand new, then. Although the concept art also shows a physical waist cape that I'm not too sure will be there, so yeah... I take it with a tiny grain of salt, but I'm much more confident after your informative posting. Yep, that's actually a thing. You may be lucky and still end up getting a minifigure in August when they catch-up for certain characters that have already been available in other EU countries, but the ratio between getting desirable minifigs versus mini-builds generally depends on the time and place you're currently in. Making the whole thing indeed not as convenient as you would think it is. -

As the PT is notorious for in flying colors. Yeah, even though I can think of like ~37 other Padmé variants as well. To this day, Lego barely scratched the surface there. I would like the set to stay at this price point. But I will by no means expect it to stay at 60 bucks. Even when the set is officially revealed at a certain price tag, you may be surprised to find an additional 5/10€ in the Lego store before it even released. So yeah, I'm... interested to see how things shape up. Yep, I don't think Lego will go the extra mile for a Zam minifigure. Including a second head, as nice as that would be, is exactly that. However, what I would expect to see are no shortcuts, like getting a new helmet element should be there. Basically, give me peak Lego Star Wars, not necessarily peak, well, existence. It will have areas where you could obviously improve upon, yes. But what's there should be rock solid. You know, I would have given you a Jango Fett minifigure, if you weren't exactly based on the other side of the "galaxy". But if that wasn't the case, you would probably received it yourself already. If we're getting any new Padmé outfit next year at all, I would say the Theed one is the most likely. That's the kind of pleasant news I will suck up every positive energy imaginable from until we get to the real juicy stuff, aka January minifigure lists. Yep, I thought I was too late at first... There were no Lego Star Wars Magazines to be seen. Only the usual subjects (Ninjago, City, Jurassic World etc.) that are just not nearly enough as sought after as Star Wars is. They had just opened store for like 15 minutes, mind you, but with the mere army building aspect of the Galactic Marines in mind, I was expecting the worst for a moment. But it turned out they just hadn't unpacked the newest edition yet, so I got a pair of them. And yep 2.0, the output varies greatly by region. Germany, I have to say, is absolutely among the upper end of the food chain. We got nothing but bangers all year, in chronological order as follows: Phase 1 Clone Pilot, Night Trooper, Phase 2 Clone Pilot, Anakin Skywalker (TCW), Commando Droid, Jango Fett, now the Galactic Marine and next up is the 327th Clone Trooper. That's the biggest minifigure streak ever and it's still kicking. It's insane. -

I asked the same question in here and came to the same conclusion. There's nothing else like it un the Lego Star Wars theme. As I refuse to count some Aldar Beedo abomination that doesn't even resemble a minifigure except for the head. And got remade with a much more appropriate mould anyways. That's a neat idea for a small side-build. Can't imagine Lego giving us a bunch of Kouhuns, since we almost definitely won't be getting Pijama Padmé in our Lego bed. Yep, that hair piece is actually overdue for an overhaul. Quite similar to how ROTS Luke got upgraded. You could even go home and rethink Obi-Wan's hair colour, but after doing so many ginger ones for so long, it may be best to leave it as is. Yeah, I mean while Zam is the undisputed highlight of the minifigure line-up, I wouldn't consider this the only reason to purchase this set. I am also excited for both of those colourful Speeders. And AOTC Anakin has been absent from my collection ever since. Will feel good to finally get him. -

Yeah, we won't be discussing these builds for being too small. Yes, that's right. Some selected Battle Packs alone will see to that. I just meant "easier time" in the context of how overdue this set is and how little can actually go wrong here. I get this is a set for more seasoned fans first and probably won't be instantly recognizable by the broad public. Like many kids, I already said this about the Kaminoans, won't know who Zam Wesell is or where she's coming from. What I'm trying to convey is... this is a huge deal and Lego has, different to other popular returning sets, little room to screw this one up. Yep, the XJ-6 Airspeeder might end up a tad oversized, in the same vein as Cobb Vanth's Speeder was. Although I'm very curious to see to what extent the *final* price point will reflect that. Oh, she absolutely has to! Don't just put some goggles on her or something. No shortcuts, except the expected printed waist cape. An additional head would be fitting and nice, but that's just the stuff I think Lego doesn't even consider to do. However, a recoulered bandana piece should make up for that and could be included. Unless it's printed on already for her human face, which also wouldn't surprise me. Yes, that's the mismatch you can have with some Lego Star Wars sets. On one hand, every noteworthy character of a scene the set is depicting is on board and it's enough in that sense. But considering the price point of said set, it doesn't always necessarily feel like enough... even if it does make perfect sense in the context of the souce material. I agree that Jango's appeal would be fairly limited due to his renewed high availability, but if we're talking about an additional figure, it would still be the most logical inclusion. -

In my restless dreams, I see that set. The 2027 Bounty Hunter Pursuit. Has there ever been an easier time for Lego to make some money by revisiting a set at all? I mean, is there really anything that can turn out awfully wrong with this one? Sure, 25 years is a rather long time. That feels like a lifetime for a Lego Star Wars set. It might as well be one of the most requested Remakes for a reason. But for a 2002 release, I think the original holds up rather well. Of course they can and will modernize the asthetics across the board and may apply some neat building techniques with all those new pieces. Those Speeders are on the smaller side to begin with, so we won't be having a debate about downscaling. If anything, the builds might end up being too big, if Lego is yet again trying too hard to fit a certain price point determined beforehand. Zam Wesell will definitely be the star of the show and get a huge upgrade. Probably no physical waist cape, but that's to be expected at this point. Contrary to a new moulded helmet element and the no-brainer alternative face print. While Anakin and Obi-Wan will probably only be slightly updated. Those three figures are obviously a lock. Anything beyond that, except maybe Jango or an anniversary figure, would surprise me. So again, it will be very difficult for me to be disappointed in the minifigure line-up. Honestly, other than the likely off-coloured stickers, I'm having a tough time how the set can't deliver in all aspects. -

That's actually the exact same line-up that I had in mind as well. But yeah, I have a hunch Lego is filling up the selection with some less desirable characters than the Force Ghosts. In any case, very much looking forward to some concrete figure lists. We got some good food lately. Now it's time to spice things up a little. -

Through the power of social interaction, I got two Galactic Marines, just one for myself. For the whole figure, though. I will skip this one. Magazines used to be my only source (other than buying individual sets that is) for some very light army building. But nowadays I only get them when it's not guaranteed I get the minifigs in a fitting regular released set. Even though we're supposed to get a dozen minifigures or so, I doubt it. I just don't think the line-up leaves enough spots to make them when you factor in all main characters, Ewoks and what have you. In a MBS rendition with 20+ minifigures, this would be a no-brainer. But for a larger playset, I just don't see that being the case. Would of course love to be wrong on this one. As like you said, it's still our best bet since quite a while. And it would obviously be quite fitting for the 50th Star Wars anniversary. They would be like bonus anniversary figures, if you will. -

It will be a family birthday gift, but yeah... Looking forward to just build something Lego Star Wars again! It might not be saying much, but it was clear from the very get-go that the MTT was the much better deal compared to the Tiny Turbo Tank. I also didn't quote you on this after all, but I agree with your previous sentiment of flagship sets being back in a big way this year. I deliberately held back any further ST slander postings in fear of the Rancor. Yeah, this is where I'm at, too. There wasn't exactly a shortage of Imperial Troopers for the better part of this decade. Some Rebellion representation is much more overdue and would go a long way. So I see no good reason to don't do a 50:50 ratio between both factions. Oh, definitely. As you also might be aware, at least the german Magazine considerably upped their minifigure inclusions the last couple of years. The 327th Trooper will be next up, by the way. -

Wakey wakey! It's yet again time to get up extra early for a few pieces of precious plastic. I'm on the noble mission to receive just a couple of them Galactic Marine's from the brand new Magazine, potentially breaking some poor kids heart (not really) later on in the process. This one will obviously prove to be rather popular, so I leave nothing to chance. Having just consumed my cup of Jawa Juice, only a short trip for some Republic Credits and half an hour of walking to the nearest Toshi Station, while enduring the Twin Suns of Tatooine, may stand between me and my bounty. Which me luck.. or don't!
