More news on the anniversary figures from reddit: Han Solo (Mustafar Duel), Luke Starkiller (Y-Wing), R2D2 (Bespin Duel), Darth Vader (buildable Luke Skywalker); C3PO (Vignette set) No McQuarrie fig in the battlepack apparently -

Me too. Certainly would like to see a new cockpit piece for a more streamlined version of the fighter. -

Funny. The 76344 Iron Man is sooo much better than this brick built Boba; looks like an unfinished, unrefined set to me. Don’t like this at all. Hope you’re right, rebellions (& Tie Avengers) are built on hope. Maybe I’m grasping at straws but I’d like to see at least an additional McQuarrie figure now. Like in the anniversary 75262 BP. Though it still would hardly justify the high price… -

I thought that the current agreement lasts until 2030 and that Disney gets a percentage from the Lego SW revenue or something, but not that they can raise fees in between? -

Yes, the news are from reddit with set names, prices and now more on the figures. Sources like maxbaut are very reliable. -

Didn't want to speculate before getting additional leaks, and I still hope some key details are still missing, but the news are a huge disappointment so far. The lineup wasn't perhaps the most exciting for people who are collecting Star Wars for years, but fitting for an anniversary plus we'll be getting the concept art special figures. I'm fine with that. But 4 figures in a 30€ battlepack, basically 7,50€ for a regular soldier, just crazy. This is certainly not a cheap playset for kids anymore... I don't expect any significant side builds at this stage. Just a speeder + a tree. I really think Lego just wants to minimize the losses related to smart play. Everything else seems very expensive too. And the low figure count is another downgrade - again; Anakin's starfighter - no 3rd (anniversary) figure really?; only 4 figs in the 80€ Y-wing, no alien figure of course. If we get 4 Ewoks in the Ewok village I'll be surprised... -

Clever idea, somehow i wouldn't be surprised at all if we will get a new Naboo fighter with Anakin very soon. Apparently genuine chrome silver parts are back in the Speed Champions line... next year would also mark the 25th anniversary of the chrome special edition N1. It's the perfect time for a remake. -

My thoughts exactly, one tiny Ewok fits perfectly in a set at this price. Sure AFOLs buy dozen battlepacks but kids get only 1 or 2; an alien minifig should be a nice addition for them. -

Would be nice to see a redesign of the Delta 7 though. Jedi Bob's was too big and Obi Wan's was just looking wrong. Dooku hasn't been around for such a long time that he deserves his own set, so the 3rd figure will probably be on of the McQuarries concepts, I think. -

I'm astonished that so few care about having an Ewok in the Endor BP; I think their help was absolutely essential for the rebels' success so 1 minifig is an absolute minimum in a BP for that price (should have 6 figs in total). Could be my favorite BP ever if done right. Very curious about the concept art minifigs; I don't expect they'll make special moulds for troopers but I hope to see a brown Lasatt, white Boba Fett, Jedi Han in the lineup. Overall sounds like a very promising wave fitting next year's anniversary. -

Wow, Star Wars smart play sets look now even worse after the Pokemon reveal... just like unfinished test products. Hopefully Lego learned a lesson and the next wave will have the smart brick fully incorporated into the builds. And of course the Pokemon add-on sets are much cheaper now. -

Really like the AT AT prototype, though it’ll need some upgrading especially at the head. The sticker looks ugly, should’ve been either a print or a brick built solution. But ultimately this is a much better set than the Lambda shuttle. Better designed (+ 1,5) figures and a substantial build for the same price. In Europe Galactic Marines will be in the Lego magazine soon. -

Don't know why only Star Wars and now Pokemon get the Smart Play sets in 2026, but I'm pretty certain City and other themes will follow soon. Might even increase the popularity, especially when the distribution won't be limited as it is now. Isn't the rumored upcoming Hoth set Smart Play too? I guess it's far too early for Lego to make changes or even quit this experiment. I've been reading the Smart Play manual carefully and realized that you have to recharge the Smart Brick at least every 6 months otherwise it can malfunction! Does anyone know how long the brick is supposed to last? 2, 5 or 10 years? -
I love sunken city mocs, but this is probably the best one I have seen yet. The shape of the pyramid is so realistic and the solution for the stairs brilliant. Thanks for sharing!

Maybe this (and the Smart Play sets) are an attempt to get a new generation of kids interested in SW? A quick comparison with the lineup for standalone movies would indicate that Disney/Lego plays it safe and reuse mostly successful ideas from the past... Rogue One - 1 wave: 5 sets - 1 remake (AT ST) Rogue One - 2 wave: 4 sets - 1 remake (Y-Wing) / 2 battle packs - 1 location set Solo: 8 sets - 2 remakes (White Falcon, TIE) / 1 battle pack Mandalorian & Grogu: 8 sets - 6 remakes / 0 battle pack - 1 mech As long if we get more playscale and less adult focused sets I'm all for it. -

Very good observations. Star Wars is all about the long fight between Jedi & Sith, climaxing in the downfall of the biggest villain ever - and that's in ROTJ. Don't know if a Thrawn trilogy would have worked on screen better, but the Disney plot with Luke basically refusing to build a better Jedi order and a Palpatine offspring becoming basically the true chosen one - and not Anakin - is a contradiction I just can't enjoy. -
Yes, looks like it. Perhaps there are other LOTR sets coming? The Balrog wings were after all used for the Nazgul a few months earlier, so who knows. Does Lego make special prints for GWPs? The knight in Majistos workshop had a unique dragon print, but that's the last time something like that happened I think.

Seem to be reused from Barad Dur.

Minas Tirith looks splendid; the idea to mix different scales works here really well. For 650€ there are just simply not enough figures, shame... Rivendell is still best of the line, but this is a close second.
-
Well this is some odd wolf; I thought Grond will be more in scale with the Minas Tirith walls perhaps even with an additional siege tower or something but this seems to be too big (?) for that. Hard to believe it's 300 pieces. Seems the GWPs are far less interesting than 3-4 years ago. It's on Brickset!

Very cool and dramatic episodes btw; I hope we'll see more battle packs with mixed factions in the future like the recent Mandalorian one - can't even remember the last time we had any human/alien Separatist adversary. A few Umbarans with new molded helmets would be amazing. -

Not that I mind, but I sure am really curious why; I suppose 95% of parents don't read AFOL reviews anyway, so know nothing of how bad the figures sound - though perhaps most even don't care for accuracy for that matter. The price for the TIE seems quite reasonable compared to other new sets, people buy overpriced sets all the time, I'd even argue they are better than the 4+ sets, so why? Lego claimed that Smart Play is so versatile and yet no other theme will get one in 2026. City should have a few sets too by now... I haven't bought anything on BL for such a long time that I've completely forgotten about it; thanks to reminding. -

Apparently it's a retailer exclusive set, don't think anything beyond -10% is realistic, at least where I live. So stupid not to have bought the cheap version from 2021... this much I'm certainly not willing to pay especially since it's M&G and not OT. Oh well can't wait now for more news on Ewok village & Bounty hunter pursuit. -

Really torn on the shuttle; Cons: don't like the downscaled wing size, the cockpit (I think the 2021 version looks better) and the minifigs; Pros: size and shaping are good, working landing gear and hopefully a good interior. The Scythe was great in that respect. Prices for old used shuttles are pretty high so I guess I'll get this one on sale later and buy a TIE bomber in the following days instead.
