Not particularly a Lego question, but regarding Doomsday… Where the heck is War Machine? He is the character who makes the most sense to be there, either being assigned by Valentina to act as New Avenger leader or get invited onto Sam’s team. You’d think they’d want the public optics of having Iron Man’s bestie on their team to help with legitimacy. Thor’s off-world. Iron Man, Black Widow, Scarlet Witch and Vision (publicly presumed) are dead. Hawkeye and Steve Rogers are retired. Hulk is in no position to be a useful and trustworthy asset currently. Rhodey is literally the only real Avenger aside from Falcon Cap who’s left. (Ok Antman too, but Rhodey and Sam were Avengers since 2015 and therefore have better credentials) If I was Falcon Cap, I’d be prioritising getting the one available real Avenger onto my team rather than putting another regular dude with a jetpack on the team. Similar thoughts if I was CIA director and could put the colonel in question on assignment, not to mention how he would add a much needed powerhouse to my punch and shoot team that’s not the unstable twink who can’t even use his powers safely. I will give Falcon Cap credit where credit is due. Antman is one of the last appointed Avengers so getting him onboard was a smart thing to do. But it’s just weird that neither he or the New Avengers appear to have poached the one other surviving 2025 Avenger.

This is our 473rd day of being flung out of the figurative window. And we’ve become exceedingly efficient at it. I’m not going to speak my mind any more on this demon in a bottle box until further details surface. Because @Swordy has once again worked his magic.

Scratch that. I just remembered that BND is actually the 3rd encounter. I believe Wandavision implied that the mind stone amplified/ awakened powers that were already dormant in Wanda. Meaning that Wanda’s shenanigans in AoU, Civil War, Wandavision and MoM all technically qualify as Mutant encounters. Sooooo. 🎶Do you want to build a Sentinel?🎶

I’ve finished my AT AT and compared it to my AT M6. It’s simply peak. Hope 2027 gives us more sets like it.

So I watched BND. And I was surprised at how profound its messages were. I took away two. 1) Choosing to be lonely is just going to feed your depression, you need to have meaningful relationships in order for things to get better. 2) I really want a Berthanal Punisher minifig. Can we get his van as a set please. Could include Daredevil just for fun.

Lego is really making anything but the TIE Avenger next year bruh (Day #472 of complaints) Probably more to do with the Spider-Han pun. I didn’t even mind Captain Carter until she hijacked what could have been an awesome 1606 episode. Just the Winter Soldier sequel to her story would have been fine, maybe even a third to cover Civil War I could give a pass to. But making her the main character of what was advertised and wanted as a kriffing anthology series was so annoying. Haley Atwell is a great actress but Captain Carter just sucks thanks to overexposure. This will be our 3rd Captain Carter variant while Deadpool and Daredevil only have 1. It has to be Vader Von Doom right? Perhaps also Greedo Goblin. Should Boba Fett be Scorpion or Vulture? Or Kraven? We might see after this weekend. Forget I said this. Who the megabluck could have foreseen this?! Cool, weird but cool. But wait IS THAT MEGABLUCKING CAPTAIN CARTER?! When Mace Fury was right there? You know the empire is going to need some sort of TIE Avenger to keep these marvellous fellows at bay. Ultron R2? Luke Thor? Purple and gold Vader? I really hope this is actually RTG S3. Seems like a logical next step to start mixing up universes.

I did. I started getting bonus pistols after 2024 in my sets, but never bonus standard blasters, let alone 2. It’s nice. What isn’t nice is how spare parts in general seem to be dwindling in quantity and sizes. (It seems so for me at least) I thank my fellow TIE Avenger acolytes @BrickPrick and @Agent Kallus for giving my answer. Just shows that we’re all in this together and have been for 471 days atp. But yeah. Cassian in the pilot outfit is necessary. Then the rest of the minifigs is down to individual preference and more importantly Lego’s goodwill. My preferred candidates are Director Krennic, 1-2 Range Troopers, 1-2 Stormtroopers and Major Partagaz. 2-3 of those candidates are what Lego would likely select I think. I don’t think the technician is interesting enough to get included when so many other Andor imperial figs are wanted more by fans. Heck, I’d even say Melshi is a more likely choice than the technician tbh. I wish buddy. I wish. I’m just trying to be realistic so the dream is more attainable.

Good. Everything is proceeding as I have foreseen. This will definitely lead to a 10+ or 14+ TIE Avenger release. (Day #470)

Wouldn’t that just be the Kessel Run Falcon? Give it 5 seconds post release. If DC can get a set that isn’t a Batmobile. Then by god we can get a TIE Avenger!!!

I’m going to throw my hat in the ring for minifig predictions: I’m assuming it’s comic based, as that gives Lego the opportunity to reuse Man and Jonkler. Reuses (some with slight upgrades like dual moulded legs): Superman, Krypto, Batman (he could also be new if they do a blue + grey World’s Finest suit), Joker, Lex Luthor Kit bashed: Jimmy Olsen, Perry White, Steve Lombard, Cat Grant, Mercy Graves, Clark Kent (but with a new face print) New: Lois Lane (purple shirt), Supergirl, Wonder Woman, Braniac, Mr Terrific, Green Lantern (either Guy or John but not both), Hawkgirl and General Zod. 18 minifigs and a reused animal seems like a likely number. Could be reduced to 16 if Lego excludes Batsy. Only 4 villains seems reasonable here as 3/5 of the ones selected are some heavy hitters. And then whichever Green Lantern isn’t used is given a mech vs reused Zod set. Reusing the new green and black dual moulded legs. Honourable mentions who barely don’t make the cut: Steel, Jon Kent, Booster Gold, Livewire, Metallo, Cyborg Superman, Parasite and Bibbo Bibbowski

And the TIE Avenger may still be inbound. It will always live on in our hearts. The question is if it’s movie or comics based. Green Lantern mech like the Miles mech is coming surely?

Well I’m done being cynical. If the Daily Planet is possible that means a TIE Avenger and Green Lantern mech are too. The fact that the Krypto Brickheadz has the DCU soup logo bodes well. Lego don’t make prints for such small scale reasons usually. They’ve now got that logo ready to print.

Just when I thought we were starting to win again, Lego pulls this crap. The BP better have more minifigs and/or be $25. Anakin’s JSF is evidently next year’s 4+ set. Kinda weird it took them 8 years to do something PT/ TCW based for 4+. And there had better be a TIE AVENGER (#468) Just pray the unnamed Fart Play set is not a Republic Gunship. We cannot survive the consequences of such a set.

Despite Nolan white-washing my traitorous goat Sinon to be completely oblivious to the truth about the horse, I found the actual sacking of Troy to be very accurate to what’s described in Aeneid Book II. But yeah, there were loads of inaccuracies to the actual Odyssey. Still a phenomenal film though. It was a delicious itch you want to scratch but you find it under the skin and can't reach it. So the delicious itch becomes unbearable. And it told me I don't really want to stop posting TIE Avenger memes. (Day #465 of trying to get the TIE Avenger home) I watched the Odyssey last night. One word: CINEMA. If PHM can get Best Actor and Cinematography while Odyssey gets everything else at the 2027 Oscars it would receive no complaints from me. Seriously I highly recommend it and hope that one day Nolan might bless us with a SW movie. I would bet good money on the BHP and Ewok Village having anniversary minifigs. One of them being the stormtrooper. wow. My Dad was with me at the Bluewater store yesterday, he’s always been supportive of my hobby since childhood but never really considered buying Lego for himself. He still didn’t buy anything, but he expressed major interest in the Icons section. Might have to get him one for Christmas. Nope. But she is a certified Swift Cultist. Which I find crazy to still be as most of her recent songs sound really samey.

I’m actually going there today to watch Odyssey with my family. So I’ll pop in to the Lego store. Hopefully it will be 3rd time’s the charm with my search for grey PAB bricks for my base. I’ll report if I see any similar patterns to what you’ve seen. I noticed a similar thing at Leicester Square the other day. It was mostly adults at around a 40 kid: 60 adult ratio. But there were also a surprisingly large amount of American tourists. Only things I use Lego themselves for are pick a brick and double VIP points. Most of the time I use Amazon or Smyths (I got a banger 30% off deal on the Sanctum Sanctorum 2 years ago) So is that another hero alongside Bananaman, Count Binface, Alan Moore and Sir Francis Drake to add to the British Avengers? (That’s likely because there’s a full on Transformers store in the shopping centre.) I wonder if Lego will actually try and shelve the 2027 Smart Play. They evidently won’t sell. Even with all the marketing. Lucky. I wish my relatives cared about Lego. Maybe I can rope my sister back into it if editions produces Taylor Swift. But that wish is not as important as my one for a TIE Avenger!!! (Day #464 of being patient)
