I’m offended that you think the magnificent TIE Avenger deserves to be based in the cramped minimalistic hangar of a Gladiator. A ship of such prestige deserves to be housed in the luxury accommodation of a Venator, Quasar, SSD or ISD. Gozantis, Arquitens (except maybe 546 variants), Victories and Gladiators simply will not do. They are not fit to be graced with the TIE Avenger’s presence. Watched the trailer a few more times. And EckhartsLadder’s analysis video. It looks like the NR shipyard and ships that the drill ships are being deployed on are gladiator class star destroyers. Which is awesome. And actually work really well for keeping a identifiable imperial shape and suiting Thrawn’s needs for quick deployment task force. If you need convincing have a look at the shot with the TIE bombers and you’ll see in the background that the NR ships they’re being dropped on have bridge structure and turbolaser emplacements that match the gladiator. I hope we get a gladiator set that scales with the 2024 ISD. Ya know. You would have thought that Lucasfilm would have learned from Mando’s mistakes and released a public teaser for Starfighter at D23 to build hype. Seems really silly. They created the triple bladed lightsaber. In time for Jedi 3 too. I imagine this is the story of Ahsoka gaining her 2nd lightsaber. Looks like the forest on Illum from TFA. It’s nice to see the strength of Thrawn’s forces being revealed after 3 whole years of speculation. It appears he has at least 4 ISDs in his fleet plus a 2-5 546 Arquitens. I imagine this is just the standing assault fleet as well. With others being kept in reserve/ defence. I’m not invested in the Peridia storyline at all. Because HOLY KRIFF! The Thrawn campaign appears to be exactly what I wanted to see. We finally got the Arquitens x ISD fleet build in live action. Both the space and land battles look like they will be gorgeous. Even if the writing is not it, the space battles will definitely be a treat. I hope Lego gives us a TIE Defender vs Ezra’s A-Wing with Enoch and Thrawn at the very least. And a B-Wing too. If they wanted to do a ISD bridge diorama next year would be the time. At least we have the NR X-Wing to tie into this I guess.

I imagine Marvel will use black and yellow suits to distinguish themselves from the Doomsday X-Men. I also imagine that we’ll get 2-3 sets for the film in 2028.

The showcase is tonight (in US) so we might get Ahsoka S2 and/or Starfighter teasers by the morning tomorrow. But where is the TIE Avenger teaser? They’re going skiing. Not particularly a Lego question, but regarding Doomsday… Where the heck is War Machine? He is the character who makes the most sense to be there, either being assigned by Valentina to act as New Avenger leader or get invited onto Sam’s team. You’d think they’d want the public optics of having Iron Man’s bestie on their team to help with legitimacy. Thor’s off-world. Iron Man, Black Widow, Scarlet Witch and Vision (publicly presumed) are dead. Hawkeye and Steve Rogers are retired. Hulk is in no position to be a useful and trustworthy asset currently. Rhodey is literally the only real Avenger aside from Falcon Cap who’s left. (Ok Antman too, but Rhodey and Sam were Avengers since 2015 and therefore have better credentials) If I was Falcon Cap, I’d be prioritising getting the one available real Avenger onto my team rather than putting another regular dude with a jetpack on the team. Similar thoughts if I was CIA director and could put the colonel in question on assignment, not to mention how he would add a much needed powerhouse to my punch and shoot team that’s not the unstable twink who can’t even use his powers safely. I will give Falcon Cap credit where credit is due. Antman is one of the last appointed Avengers so getting him onboard was a smart thing to do. But it’s just weird that neither he or the New Avengers appear to have poached the one other surviving 2025 Avenger.

This is our 473rd day of being flung out of the figurative window. And we’ve become exceedingly efficient at it. I’m not going to speak my mind any more on this demon in a bottle box until further details surface. Because @Swordy has once again worked his magic.

Scratch that. I just remembered that BND is actually the 3rd encounter. I believe Wandavision implied that the mind stone amplified/ awakened powers that were already dormant in Wanda. Meaning that Wanda’s shenanigans in AoU, Civil War, Wandavision and MoM all technically qualify as Mutant encounters. Sooooo. 🎶Do you want to build a Sentinel?🎶

So I watched BND. And I was surprised at how profound its messages were. I took away two. 1) Choosing to be lonely is just going to feed your depression, you need to have meaningful relationships in order for things to get better. 2) I really want a Berthanal Punisher minifig. Lego is really making anything but the TIE Avenger next year bruh (Day #472 of complaints) Probably more to do with the Spider-Han pun. I didn’t even mind Captain Carter until she hijacked what could have been an awesome 1606 episode. Just the Winter Soldier sequel to her story would have been fine, maybe even a third to cover Civil War I could give a pass to. But making her the main character of what was advertised and wanted as a kriffing anthology series was so annoying. Haley Atwell is a great actress but Captain Carter just sucks thanks to overexposure. This will be our 3rd Captain Carter variant while Deadpool and Daredevil only have 1. It has to be Vader Von Doom right? Perhaps also Greedo Goblin. Should Boba Fett be Scorpion or Vulture? Or Kraven? We might see after this weekend. Forget I said this. Who the megabluck could have foreseen this?! Cool, weird but cool. But wait IS THAT MEGABLUCKING CAPTAIN CARTER?! When Mace Fury was right there? You know the empire is going to need some sort of TIE Avenger to keep these marvellous fellows at bay. Ultron R2? Luke Thor? Purple and gold Vader? I really hope this is actually RTG S3. Seems like a logical next step to start mixing up universes.

I did. I started getting bonus pistols after 2024 in my sets, but never bonus standard blasters, let alone 2. It’s nice. What isn’t nice is how spare parts in general seem to be dwindling in quantity and sizes. (It seems so for me at least) I thank my fellow TIE Avenger acolytes @BrickPrick and @Agent Kallus for giving my answer. Just shows that we’re all in this together and have been for 471 days atp. But yeah. Cassian in the pilot outfit is necessary. Then the rest of the minifigs is down to individual preference and more importantly Lego’s goodwill. My preferred candidates are Director Krennic, 1-2 Range Troopers, 1-2 Stormtroopers and Major Partagaz. 2-3 of those candidates are what Lego would likely select I think. I don’t think the technician is interesting enough to get included when so many other Andor imperial figs are wanted more by fans. Heck, I’d even say Melshi is a more likely choice than the technician tbh. I wish buddy. I wish. I’m just trying to be realistic so the dream is more attainable.

Good. Everything is proceeding as I have foreseen. This will definitely lead to a 10+ or 14+ TIE Avenger release. (Day #470)
