Swordy’d yet again! It’s just abysmal. And I fear 2028 might be when I get priced out of the theme. (I mean, I could still afford some sets but then it just becomes a matter of: “can I really justify spending X amount of money on a set that only seems like it’s worth Y amount for what we’re getting?”) It would just be illogical. -

Clone sets and 18+ Statues probably I blame Clone Bros /s (except I do wonder if the 327th BP’s success did have a hand in this) Hopefully. I do kinda want to get 6 to bolster my Scout Troopers to 8 and my Stormtroopers to 18. But I’ll only get these on discount now, unless they revert back to $20. I do wonder if the 2024 Anniversary Figures were so successful at driving sales that they decided to do these figs, or if they were planning on doing this anyway. 6 Anniversary Clone Commanders in 2028?/s -

Everyday I wake up, I start to break up. Lonely is a man without TIE Avenger. (Especially on the 424th day.) I also realised I missed the chance to roast the Lime 212th reskin 2 days ago. It’s possible that Disney has been increasing the licensing fee quite a bit after M&G’s abysmal box office to recuperate profits. But this is likely just corporate greed from Lego. That or recent escapades in a certain desert region disrupting 25% of the world’s oil and the newly announced tolls on oil have increased the costs of making Lego bricks (which requires oil). Still unacceptable though. Surely Lego realises that there’s a bubble that’s going to pop at some point when it comes to these prices. I’m now just even more amazed the AT AT is the price it is. -

I like to think that Eli keeps one of these in his quarters. Excellent ideas. As artistic in nature as Sabine Wren. And as enlightened as the Grand Chadmiral himself. I would rejoice if it weren’t for the price. -

Really? This is what you’re concerned about? Normal battlepacks are now $30 and you’re complaining about us getting main character minifigs who haven’t been available in play-scale sets for around 3 years? (Leia) Endor BP. Sounds great and perfect for me as I’ve been asking for exactly a 9489 remake for ages… but not at that price. Thus the monkey’s paw curls. I find it interesting that they’re opting to include Mcquarrie figure variants of characters who have normal figs in their sets (Mcquarrie Han was the original Obi-Wan). I’d have expected them to have no character overlap like with the 20th anniversary figs. -
DC Superheroes 2026 - Rumors & Discussion

Damn, I guess Lego isn’t making as much stuff for other DC characters as isn’t really releasing anything targeted towards kids right now or in the near future…. Oh wait. (Ignore Creature Commandos) I know it likely won’t happen but Lego should really release Hero Character packs next year for both Marvel and DC. It would help a lot with lightening the Doomsday/ Secret Wars character load as well as cheaply enabling Lego to try and see if other characters are in demand. Thunderbolts, X-Men, Justice Gang, DC Superpowers, all the different GLs who have leading parts, Mr Miracle, Starfire, etc… -

Pardon me but I did not get that reference. So apparently the Smart Play sets’ retirement dates have been pushed forward 6 months from January 2028 to July 2027. I think we won. More space for a TIE Avenger on the set roster!!! (Day #423) -

I respectfully disagree. The current one has a classic charm to it and has been a very prominent staple of the theme far too long for it to be replaced at this point. -

I need a TIE Avenger just like how Boba needs a Bantha. (#420) Eh but it’d be more accurate to the battle to have more imps. And with the Ewok village and Ewok Attack sets also coming the Empire side of Endor is looking pretty outnumbered if the BP doesn’t deliver a good quantity of imperials. Petition to rename the Endor Battlepack to Ewok Charcuterie. How else is the village going to get a good meal, when many of the village fig slots will likely go to the OT cast? -

Can’t wait to see if the AT AT is sturdy. That, the armoured marauder parts I’m PABing and the Endor BP (if it has 4 imps) are going to do wonders at bolstering my remnant/ garrison. -

Don’t worry about it if beating the dead Tauntaun was a crime I’d be in the Citadel. (Narkina 5 is for the casuals) Speaking of which, today I’ll be butchering the theme song of one of the best animated Marvel shows: He is a man on a mission In a TIE Fighter of high tech ammunition Trapped on the edge of an endless game His renegade life will never be the same In a dangerous galaxy he does all he can He’s Cassian An[dor] Cassian An[dor] The heart of his power's within him No force will make him give in When he’s backed into a corner of uncertainty He takes the heat to next degree He’s more than a rebel, believe what you see He’s Cassian An[dor] Cassian An[dor] He’s Cassian An[dor] Cassian An[dor] #419 Oh right. I forgot he was in Resistance. In fact I think I just forgot about Resistance. (Except for Commander Pyre, his armour is just too exquisite) I’ve only watched the KOTOR cinematics, but yes a movie just like that would be peak. The only problem would be figuring out an actual plot which doesn’t fall into M&G’s problem of moving locations just to do another CGI fight. If Filoni’s HttE movie goes ahead it has to include the OT. The guy from Solo and Carrie Fisher’s daughter are already in the Lucasfilm contact pool. They just need to get Sebastian Stan for Luke and they might have a winner on their hands. (I could see Mando getting shoehorned in to accompany Lando and Han on the Lady Luck or the Karrde plot line, Carson Teva just being added to part of Wedge’s plot line (or maybe replacing him but hopefully not) and then Ezra doing the intelligence gathering Luke was doing at the start of Last Command and helping in the C’Baoth boss fight. Generation Tech made a good point a couple of weeks ago that Luke needs to come back so the franchise has a paragon of pure light-side. Star Wars is ultimately the story of Good vs Evil and we’ve not really had anyone purely good as a protagonist for a while. While the villains are always pure evil. Lucasfilm has made a lot of mistakes in the past decade. Firing those two clowns was not one of them. We do not need the Rebel/ Jedi protagonist to have ‘kinda forgot about the imperial fleet.’ Agreed. Even TLJ was a fun for me in the Cinema first time, apart from getting a bit upset about Luke’s characterisation. But upon rewatch I noticed the numerous damning flaws. I do at least respect Rian Johnson for daring to try and do something different, but I think he should just stick to making his excellent Knives Out films. (Or a SW murder mystery could be cool as a D+ Special) Maybe Anakin’s Starfighter will include R3-S6? -

Nooooooo! Brickheadz Jonkler strikes again! He’s Brickheadized Superman before he can get an actual set. Honestly, it’s nice we’re getting something nonBatman, just wish it had been a normal set though. But why can’t we get World’s Finest normal sets? It’s literally the most fun and toyetic current Batman run behind Absolute Batman. And there are Batmobiles and everything in there! -

Welcome to Eurobricks! We’re glad to have you. Apologies in advance for all the TIE Avenger yapping that you’ll be reading. (Day #418 of the descent into madness) While not as dire as others, I’d argue that SW’s fall in the last 3 years has been exceptionally shocking as it started out much bigger. And has comparatively fallen from guaranteed billion dollar hits to barely (if even) breaking even on the lowest budget movie ever made for the franchise. Maybe we do need a break. But something tells me the sequel revisionism is not going to happen. None of the cadets I work with like the sequels. They like the OT, PT and Clone Wars. If the generation who were young kids when the sequels released don’t even like them, then what chance do they have? Especially since there’s no Clone Wars type show to make it retroactively better. (And we’ve moved past the timeframe where such a show would be feasible at this point.) They’re going to need to give enough time for a new gen to be introduced and enthralled in the core 6 movies. And then do something that balances nostalgia and originality. -

Me again. But just for one modular idea I thought I’d like to write down. Warrior’s Bar (£269.99) It’s a Green Lanten and Justice League International based modular with 14 Minifigs + 2 printed animals: Guy Gardner, Hal Jordan (jacket), Kyle Rayner (honour guard), John Stewart, Powergirl, Booster Gold, Ice, Soranik Natu, G’Nort, Ganthet, Atrocitus, Star Sapphire, Rocket Red (Manhunter alternate face print), a Manhunter, Bd’g (Blue Lantern) and Dexstarr. The build is shaped like the top half of the GL central power battery (like in the comics). At the top there’s a small apartment/ art studio for Kyle including sticker drawings of Jade, Donna Troy, Soranik Natu and a bed with sticker comic covers of Kyle’s original JLA and Solo runs. At the back there’s a kitchen with various ingredients and cooking equipment, a Black Lantern fridge and 2 2x2 stickered tiles on representing the recipes for Green Arrow’s Chilli and Kilowog’s ‘Ma’s Special Recipe.’ On the bar counter there’s: a green power battery, a sticker comic of Hard Travelling Heroes, various coloured drinks and bottles. The stools are built like power batteries a Ferris Air In the main lounge there are 3 different tables (one has a copy of the Daily Planet on it, another a advertisement for Ferris Air and another with the Books of Oa and Black) and various posters and references to Lantern exploits along the walls including: a poster of the Justice League #1 Poster (‘Wanna make something of it.’), a Alan Scott WW2 propaganda poster, a Coast City poster, a old photo of Hal and Sinestro as GLs, a old photo of John and Katma with their Mosaic designs, group photo of Kyle, Hal, Guy and Kilowog inspired by the GL Rebirth cover, 3 statue slots to place different heroes or Lantern minifigs on, and many other references… Green Lanterns vs Manhunters GWP: Iolande and Ch’p vs 2 Manhunters Companion sets: Green Lantern Mech (£12.99): Hal Jordan and Cyborg Superman Green vs Red Lanterns Battlepack (£19.99): Bleez, Rankorr, Jessica Cruz and Tomar Tu

Wishlist: Future Star Wars Sets and Minifigures
CloneCommando99 replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I didn’t really like it. I found it was a mid film with great cinematography. But some racing in Starfighter would be fun. Well I wouldn’t say that it’s gaining popularity as I’m just retooling my ideas from 9 months ago. @Mandalorianknight i am very much enjoying all your movie wishlists. Some much needed remakes combined with a unique spin. Delicious. Simply delicious. And most impressive. 1. I’m not sure. But the lack of a ISD bridge diorama is just stupid. 2. Have a cap on 18+ gimmicks sets (6-8 annually) and revert back to being mostly play-set focused to ensure variety. That’s how I got into Lego as a kid, and it’s how I intend to stay in Lego until I’m inevitably priced out or they run out of plastic. Instead a full wishlist, I’m going to start a What If series. Where I speculate on how things would have changed if something different happened or didn’t happen. Starting with: What If: The 2020 501st BP had been a commercial failure? Some major things: Lego would become much more reluctant to take internet demand seriously, particularly regarding TCW. 2021 - would have no difference 2022 - where we start seeing some major differences The April 187th Republic Fighter Tank would have been replaced by a Hoth Defence set (Snowspeeder and a small trench build with: Luke Skywalker, Dak Ralter, General Reikan, Rebel Soldier and a Snowtrooper) The August AT TE would have still happened. But,since online fan demand for clones like Cody was evidently overblown after the 501st BP, it would have been AOTC based to tie in properly with the minifig pack and Obi-Wan’s Delta 7. Minifigs would have been: Clone Commander, Clone Lieutenant, Clone Trooper, Mace Windu, Anakin Skywalker and 3 Geonosis B1 Battledroids. Everything else remains the same 2023 Instead of 501st Specialists BP, BF2 still gets representation through a remake of 9489 but with a Stormtrooper heavy instead of a scout. 20 years of Clone Wars is still celebrated with some 18+ representation. However only P1 Cody’s 18+ helmet and not Rex’s is made (Rex is replaced by the AT AT Pilot or a Red Guard) The UCS Venator still occurs since the ISD retired and the UCS Gunship had still been successful. However, P1 Cody and General Kenobi are the minifigs included. The September Coruscant Guard Gunship is replaced by a new Endor Bunker set to commemorate the 40th anniversary of RotJ and act as a companion to Yavin. (Minifigs include: Imperial Officer, Navy Trooper, Scout Trooper, Stormtrooper, Ewok, Chewbacca, Leia (reuse from Speeder chase) and Han Solo.) But this set is an additional £10 compared to the Gunship we did get. Instead of a summer 332nd BP we basically receive 75373 10 months earlier as its companion, the Moff Gideon bunker, had been made obsolete by the Endor Bunker. Everything else remains the exact same. Including Yoda’s starfighter as it’s still 20 years of clone wars. The 212th Clone in the year’s AC never actually happened in the 2022 AT TE. And is therefore replaced by a Scout Trooper 2024 The Clone vs Droid Battlepack still happens. But with 3 P1 Clones and a P1 Sargeant after the AT TE, unlike the 501st BP, was successful. Fives does not become an Anniversary figure, he is replaced in the lineup by either Mara Jade, Kix (pirate), Yaddle or Yarael Poof. Since Moff Gideon’s bunker has now been made obsolete, it is replaced by an Acolyte Vector Starfighter set. (Including: Sol, Osha Jecki and Qimir.) Instead of Ambush on Mandalore BP, since that has already released, we get a generic KOTOR Jedi vs Sith Battlepack to represent how Lego has made sets for that era, and to somewhat tie in with Acolyte. And to give Malak some playmates without making him less special. Instead of Captain Rex’s Y-Wing Microfighter we get General Kenobi’s Republic Gunship Microfighter Grogu’s escape does still happen, but the 501st Troopers included do not have helmet holes as without P2 Cody in 2022 they would have never needed to make a new clone helmet. Surprisingly, Rebuild the Galaxy still happens with Jedi Bob in a leading role cause it’s funny. However, he does not receive his own Starfighter set as Lego’s not entirely confident the internet demand will translate to good sales (after 501st BP) and instead is included in the Dark Falcon in place of Beach Luke. Jedi Bob’s Starfighter set slot is replaced by a TPM AAT with: Padme, Jar Jar and 2 B1 Battledroids. Since Moff Gideon’s bunker never happened, neither do Praetorian guards. Which means that the one in the 2024 AC is replaced by one of the generic KOTOR Sith from the BP. There also are no P2 Clone paper bags with magazines due to them not having been in sets, there are instead more builds and named characters. Since there’s less confidence of TCW Glup Shittos, R2 KT rightfully replaces QT KT as an anniversary figure since, despite QT being a stand in for KT, KT is ultimately the droid which represents the SW fandom at its best. Everything else remains the same. 2025 January remains the exact same. The ARC-170 happens for ROTS 20th Anniversary and Ahsoka’s Interceptor because she’s popular. The August Clone Turbo Tank is replaced with a Kashyyyk Republic Gunship including: Luminara Unduli, Commander Gree, 2 41st Scout Troopers, Chewbacca and 2 Battledroids. As by that point it’d have been 12 years since the last Gunship release. The 327th BP is replaced by Separatist Attack: Vulture Droid, Dwarf Spider and 2 B2 Battledroids vs Yoda and Tarful Whilst the UCS Jango’s Slave One does happen to try and entice those who already have UCS Boba’s, the Play-Scale August Slave One is instead Boba’s based on ESB with: Lando Calarissian, Boba Fett, Princess Leia and a Han Solo Carbonite slab. The August V-19 Torrent doesn’t happen due to the possible inclusions of Obi-Wan and Anakin already being on shelves for cheaper. Its set slot is replaced by a TIE Avenger with: Cassian (using the new helmet mould slot used by the Clone Pilot), Krennic and a Stormtrooper No midi-scale Republic Acclamator. Instead we get a midi scale imperial shuttle. Instead of the Clone Cadet May 4th GWP there is instead a small Yoda vs Palpatine Senate Duel diorama GWP. The Separatist MTT I’m honestly not sure on. It definitely would be different. But I’m not sure if it’d end up being something else entirely like a Fondor Haulcraft, Boga Chase, Stinger Mantis or Gozanti Cruiser or just as easily have become simply a brown TPM MTT. Everything else remains the same. As the 501st BP had nothing to do with the Buildable character scourge. 2026 The Mauldalorian BP now includes TK Troopers instead of 332nd and is pushed to June to tie in with Maul Shadowlord. Due to the Coruscant Gunship never happening, the Shocktrooper Mech is replaced by P1 Captain Rex’s Republic Gunship mech Everything else is pretty much the same from what we know of the year so far. Okay. So that’s my What If. Some good changes, some bad. I’d love to know what you guys think and whether I’m just unreasonable. And do let me know of any What Ifs you’d like me to try and figure out. -

(S@H exclusive) Edit: just remembered Bespin duel would also have to be in here somewhere. It should take the Gold/ McQuarrie Chewbacca minifig. That’s at most 33 sets. But with luck, Smart Play will do so badly that Lego scrambles a Jedi 3 set or two if it releases next year. Designs that Lego probably had in the works at some point anyway but could easily add JFO minifigs (Police Gunship) at least could get made. I absolutely would love these. But with the shuttle this year I’m not holding out hope for a landing craft. I’m glad we’re on the same page about needing a versatile imperial Battlepack though. -

A few suggestions for surprise summer M&G sets: Interactive Dejarik (£24.99): Rotta the Hutt and Mando with a sword (builds are one of the arena creatures and Rotta’s axes) Imperial Remnant Battlepack (£19.99): Remnant Stormtrooper (Ammo pouch), Remnant Stormtrooper (Pauldron), Remnant Snowtrooper and Remnant AT RT driver (no stripe). Builds are either of: the speeder in the trailer, probe droid, small turret or a minifig scale AT RT. Hutt Starfighter (£34.99) (I assume): Embo, Martin Scorsese, and 2 Mercenary droids. 14+ MBS Remnant Shadow Council Funtime Hideout (£189.99): 3 Remnant Warlords (potentially including Pellaeon), 2 Remnant Snowtroopers, Remnant AT RT driver, off-road Mouse Droid, Mando and Grogu. Can connect with the AT RT Attack’s turret build. Me too mate. -

New Subtheme (actually decent idea that adds to the experience at no costs unlike smart play) Lego Star Wars: Galactic Conquest My idea is a LSW table top gaming subtheme which also functions as: a way for kids to get main characters, a fun game to play with friends and also a method for collectors to get new characters. Each Hero character gives their troops buffs, if put in command, (e.g. +10% speed or armour) as well as having double the health as a normal soldier. Soldiers have hit points of 20 HP, except for scouts who have 15 HP but 25% more range and movement speed. All of this enhancing the current theme and being able to fit in with regular sets unlike smart play. Basically Lego SW Legion/ Warhammer Key Starter packs all include 4 Hero/ Commander units and 4 soldiers (£74.99 mostly). All include the basic tank (TX-130, AAT, AT ST, etc,), speeder, command post and turret a player faction’s base camp will start a game with. (Base camp is where you send regular units to heal hit points, as well as Dropship evacs/ deployments if playing with different fronts) Army expansions are just normal battlepacks but with ability/ stat cards for the exclusive unit added in (£19.99) Commander/ Hero expansions include 3 characters, a small build and their ability/ stat cards (£14.99) Phase 1: the basics Rebellion Starter Pack: Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Princess Leia, Chewbacca, Wedge Antilles, Endor Commando and 2 Rebel Fleet Troopers Empire Starter Pack: Darth Vader, Boba Fett, Grand Admiral Thrawn, Moff Gideon, TIE Pilot, Scout Trooper and 2 Stormtroopers Light of the Jedi (Commander/ Hero Expansion): Jaro Tapal, Luminara Unduli and Master Sol Acolytes of the Sith (Commander/ Hero Expansion): Savage Oppress, Eleventh Brother and Qimir Empire Army expansion/ imperial Battlepack: 2 Stormtroopers, Scout Trooper and a Incinerator Trooper Rebel Army expansion/ Rebel Battlepack: 2 Fleet Troopers, Endor Commando and a Wookie Warrior Phase 2: expansion Republic Starter Pack: Obi-Wan Kenobi, Ahsoka Tano, Captain Rex, Commander Cody, Clone Pilot, ARF Trooper and 2 Clone Troopers Separatist Starter Pack (£59.99): Count Dooku, General Grievous, Cad Bane, Admiral Trench, 1 Security B1, 1 B2 and 2 B1s Republic Army Expansion Pack: ARF Trooper, 2 Clone Troopers and a Republic Commando Separatist Army Expansion Pack (£14.99): 2 B1s, B2 and a Commando Droid Heroes of the Rebellion (Commander/ Hero Expansion): Cassian Andor, Hera Syndulla and Sabine Wren Shadows of the Empire (Commander/ Hero Expansion): Agent Kallus, Iden Versio and Captain Enoch Phase 3: Let’s get nuts Hunters and Criminals Game Expansion (£84.99): The Mandalorian, Asajj Ventress (ToTU), Fennec Shand, Darth Maul (Shadow Lord), Dengar, Bossk, 2 Maul Mandos and 2 Crayola Mandos. (Incorporates both light and dark sides of underworld) Clones of the Republic (Commander/ Hero Expansion): ARC Trooper Jesse, Commander Wolffe and Captain Gregor Separatist Leaders (Commander/ Hero Expansion): Wat Tambor, Nute Gunray and Poggle the Lesser Jedi of Legends (Commander/ Hero Expansion): Mara Jade, Kyle Katarn and Cade Skywalker Villains of Legends (Commander/ Hero Expansion): Warlord Zsinj, Darth Talon and Darth Revan Thoughts? I feel like this would work a lot better in tandem with normal sets than smart play and the starter packs could also serve as general introductions to the LSW theme.
