  1. My build for the A-category! Started strong with the base but then got in time-trouble and had to mega-rush the second part of the entire thing. Didn’t end the way I wanted at all but hey I made it before deadline 😀 [The Bard of Old Town] Bryndon the Bard is an infamous musician, poet and entertainer in Dandelume. He is known for being blessed with the ability to put on a show for common folk and feudal court alike. With his lute, wit and voice he could captivate all; the young, the old, the poor and the rich, the strong and the weak. He travelled around Avalonia declaring, reciting and singing great tales of infamous heroine Dand El Alume, ballads of victorious battles and the history of his hometown. But born in Old Town Dandelume, he always felt himself the most at home surrounded by all classes and races, and soldiers in the service of Duke Wifgrir. His favourite place to perform was therefore by the stairs in Old Town. Where the oldest walls of the city still stood, and the ornaments of yonder days lay in the street. He would stand on the stairs singing to the troops as they went onto, or came back from, the hardships of their duties. Travellers, farmhands, maids and beasts moving in tune with the sound of his lute. The captain would stop to chat for a while, the troops applaud his recurring comedic songs, and citizens in their daily routines would throw smile and coin alike his way. His presence even sparked controversy between maidens fair watching from above the stairs. He was as natural part of the city as the stone walls, red climbing flowers or ornamented streets.
  2. Hello, The new griffin faction and my love for fantasy creatures inspired me to design this brick-built griffin to Bricklink Designer Program Series 9. It is not actually based on an existing character, I studied some cool pictures about griffins, and some cool griffin and eagle builds, but I built something brand new. My intent was to create a poseable animal instead of a static statue and added a wizard to the set for more playability options. You can support my submissions by voting and commenting: https://www.bricklink.com/v3/designer-program/series-9/main.page?s=tlg I prefer the brick built solutions to keep the flexibility of the used parts in further builds, and therefore only two stickes are used for the griffin eyes. Dimensions of the griffin (as it is shown on the main picture): Width:21.9 studs / 6.9 in / 17.5 cm Length: 39.6 studs /12.5 in /31.7 cm Height:35.4 studs /11.1 in / 28.3 cm Picture 5 shows the rotation joints and approximate rotation ranges. The griffin may be unstable in some of the depicted poses without additional support, particularly in the one shown in picture 9. I hope you enjoy this set. Many thanks for your support and feedback! Thanks for visiting, _TLG_
  3. Karak-Mahizrinul, or as humans call it, Chuhuniv (“Ironcast”), is a dwarven city-forge — the very heart of dwarven industry. The air is always filled with the rumble of hammers and the heat of smelting furnaces. Here, the strongest cast iron is born, forged into weapons, armor, and mechanisms for the entire province of the Harkinian Range and most of the settlements of the Red Mountains. They say that even Karak-Izum himself entrusts the ironmasters of Chuhuniv with crafting the most important parts for the dwarves’ defensive machines. The city’s streets are lit by the red glow of forges, and every stone gate is adorned with gears and bas-reliefs. In Chuhuniv, even taverns have anvils instead of tables, and the local beer is served in heavy metal mugs.

  5. Felt I had to build something small for the Summer Joust-category ‘Island bound’. I wanted to build an island of solitude and beauty of some sort. This is what I ended up with! Ive seen the combo for the flowers being used for bushes somewhere on flickr!
  6. ‘Backyard Pumpkin Patch’-built for the farms&fields-category of the Summer Joust. C&C always welcome! This was a fun build, I haven’t done this type of roofing before and Im pretty pleased with how it turned out. Take care ya’ll!
  7. The gates of Obsidian Salt The Dark Caves stretch endlessly beneath the mountains of Krania, their shadowed passages winding through stone. For ages, this subterranean labyrinth has drawn explorers, adventurers, and creatures both mortal and divine. In the elder days, deep within these realms, the night elves carved their dwellings building cities, passages and bridges. The night elves themselves have vanished like shadows at dawn, leaving no trace other than stone-carved memories. Their citadel, the Obsidian Salt, still haunts treasure seekers and scholars alike. Few dare venture into these abyssal depths. Even fewer claim to have glimpsed the Obsidian Salt gates. And none speak of what lies beyond — for the claimed tell no tales. My entry for the Summer Joust 2025 "Where No One Dares Go" The setup was inspired by Dofresh's "The return" digital artwork https://cara.app/post/fe46b4c0-16b0-4246-9f27-1ccb2bc292fd

  9. About 2 years ago the original version of my MOC Olivia’s Get-Away was created as some of you may remember. Unfortunatly after I took pictures of it, it fell and exploded into thousands of pieces scattered all over the floor. Ever since I was rebuilding from memory in between other projects as I really like this one a lot. While rebuilding, I’ve redesigned the MOC a bit. A year ago, the original version ran on LEGO Ideas but didn't gather the needed supports to proceed to be an official LEGO set. Here we are now, the updated version of Olivia’s Get-Away is finished! It now is build modular, with removable top floor and roof! The bottom even opens up to improve playability and to reveal its new and detailed interior! To me the MOC stands for a peaceful and calm getaway from daily chaos and stress. The colors used are easy on the eye and work pretty well together. Also this creation shows there’s more into a Castle theme than just knights in shining armor defending their castles from rival factions. Instructions now available at Rebrickable.com https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-35444/PeetersKevin/olivias-get-away/#info https://www.flickr.com/gp/46736604@N07/61Ko71
  10. Flameo my fellow Avatar fans, I’m a huge fan of ATLA and I need your help. Recently I have submitted a project on LEGO IDEAS, it's the Spirit Oasis from Avatar: The Last Airbender. As you might know LEGO IDEAS is a website which allows users to submit ideas for Lego products to be turned into potential sets. So If my project reaches 10.000 supporters it may become an official LEGO Product. Many Avatar Fans including me would love to purchase another LEGO ATLA Set since the original sets from 2006 are not available anymore. Check out my project: The Spirit Oasis Project on LEGO IDEAS All you need to do is press the support button and create a free LEGO Account if necessary. Thanks a lot, Every supporter counts!
  11. Hello forum! I've followed this forum for two years already while I've been building this fairly large MOC for two consecutive Lego events in Helsinki, Finland. I was thinking I would like to give back as you all have given me so many great ideas. The story goes like this: My son asked me a build a castle, just for fun. After 6 months of building I had 7-floors high, detailed (both inside and outside) with front defence with 3 floors with functioning portcullis etc. Every floor connects other floors with proper stairs, all the support structures are there as you might suspect in real medieval castle. Fireplaces and chimneys are there etc - as with my engineer's neurotic precision. Every detail has a medieval counterpart somewhere in the world. The castle (or it's actually a keep) was presented in the Lego event on 2018. On the following year my son asked me again: Dad, should we continue the castle this year - how about building surroundings. After 8 months of building I came up with 3 medieval 2-floor timber frame buildings with again interiors and a 3-floor medieval 13th century chapel. I moved the castle from the flat base plate on top of a hill and also started to do the build on moduverse units for compatibility with some Nordic LUGs. I presented this in Lego event on 2019. The size of the build is now 4x2 large base plates (roughly 51 cm x 110 cm). Here are all the photos from the castle: https://flic.kr/s/aHsmDR1Ztv Here are all the photos of the village and the chapel: https://flic.kr/s/aHsmDR3Prw Here are some photos of the castle (and the village) - much more through the links above: Castle from 2018 state: The large hall and keep captain's quarters upstairs. Keep's captain's quarters. Kitchen one floor down. Stairs visible up and down. And Here are some on the village (market area): Village well still separately. This photo ended up in to featured in the Blocks Magazine, which was fun as well. "Prancing lion" pub. A local pub for local people. Barrel cart. Pub from inside. Bargaining about the sword on a market stall Backside of the village. Chicken coop between the buildings. A soldier slacking off. Round chapel wall detail. Grave stones around the church yard. Chapel altar. The knight holding his helmet in the Lords building. Chapel frontside with a statue of Celebrimbor holding the one ring as a tribute for Tolkien and Lord Of The Rings.
  12. A fast paced Isekai for your enjoyment!
  13. Hello Eurobricks! Here I present you a walker I made for my techno-fantasy project. It belongs to a technomagically advanced race called feans. Feanerys was once a prosperous planet inhabited by peaceful people. However, everything has changed when the armies of demons and their undead minions appeared. The feans desperately fought for years in forests and fungal swamps of Feanerys until their Queen decided to open a portal to another world and to leave the doomed homeland. And now they arrived on a new planet inhabited by humans, elves, dwarves and other races. They should unite with local population to make a last stand against the legions of Hell that are about to conquer the entire universe. Fean walkers were developed during the demon invasion on Feanerys and were based on civilian transport. Back in their world, they strode across forests and mushroom swamps and made sudden strikes at the invaders. Now one of these walkers serves in the squad of remaining survivors led by the Queen herself. The walker is painted in pastel pink and purple colors which are traditional for people of Feanerys: Its legs can turn and lift up: At the base of the walker there is a technomagical reactor which supplies the energy. The walker is armed with two cannons which fire ball-like projectiles: Within the projectiles there is hot plasma which is held by antithermal shell and powerful electromagical fields: Upon impact, the shell is torn apart, unleashing destruction on the target - for example - this giant undead spider: A fean pilot controls her walker with a control panel: The cockpit is protected by a windscreen, aided by technomagical force fields on the sides. The empty cockpit with a comfortable seat: The engine is located right behind the cockpit: Thank you for watching and reading! I hope you like this MOC! A bit more photos can be seen on my Flickr!
  14. My newest MOC. I wanted to build something in fantasy-horror style and try with some wall and floor texture.
  15. Hi! This is the thread where I'll be posting my figs from time to time, glad to have you here! I've been quite active making OC figs in the past (not so much nowadays) but I never really shared a lot of them on EB, most of them stayed on Flickr. Recently I've been compiling years worth of individual figure shots into collages, in an attempt to streamline my Flickr photostream and to also free up some space for future images. I thought now would be a good time to share them. 16. Hello Eurobricks again! May I introduce my new MOC set in the same gaslamp fantasy universe as Fean Walker, albeit in a different, preceding era. Behold the Tower of Ernst and Isabella, Brother and Sister! The Tower of Ernst and Isabella by Farseer Eldar, on Flickr Somewhere in space, there is a far world where WW1 technology co-exists with fantasy creatures and magic. And it has been already sieged for centuries by demonic armies. The human kingdom of Katzenhausen is one of the mightiest powers that can fight them. Queen Isolda has not only well armed troops, but a superweapon against the Legions of Hell - Ernst and Isabella. Brother and Sister, the legendary demon hunters. Their powerful violet magic burns the demonic flesh, and the invisible Field gives the ability to read thoughts of each other and fight as one, Katzenhausen Castle is the majestic white-stone residence of the Queen. Few people know that one of its towers only at first glance does not differ from the other ones. After all, Isabella and Ernst live there, returning in between the fights to rest and think over the plan for upcoming battles. And no one can get inside without the permission of Sister and Brother - no demon, no human, no elf and no other creature. That's because the tower is bewitched - all of its rooms are actually located in a pocket dimension. This is made to secure Ernst and Isabella against the demons - and, possibly, against the humans of Katzenhausen who are suspicious against the violet mages... The tower reaches 75 cm in height and 18 cm in width: The Tower Size by Farseer Eldar, on Flickr Its architecture is heavily based on one tower (second right, to be precise) of French Château de Chambord that was designed by great Leonardo da Vinci: Chambord is a magnificent example of Renaissance architecture combining classical and gothic elements. And I found it very fitting to represent Katzenhausen Castle, the residence of kings built near the Writers' Lake. The LEGO tower is a bit thinner and longer. It is built using the same pattern as in 4707 set (2001 Hagrid's Hut) - corner plates are placed together at the angle of 45 degrees. Isabella and Ernst near the Tower by Farseer Eldar, on Flickr Here are some side views: The Tower of Ernst and Isabella, Side View 1 by Farseer Eldar, on Flickr The Tower of Ernst and Isabella, Side View 2 by Farseer Eldar, on Flickr The round balcony stands atop three floors of the tower. The Tower of Ernst and Isabella, Third Floor Balcony by Farseer Eldar, on Flickr Isolda I Vuzurro, Queen of Katzenhausen, stands on the balcony of her castle: Queen Isolda on the balcony by Farseer Eldar, on Flickr The chimneys of the tower look like they are separate towers on their own: The Tower of Ernst and Isabella, Roof with Chimneys by Farseer Eldar, on Flickr The roof has two large, intricately detailed skylights: The Tower of Ernst and Isabella, Roof Windows by Farseer Eldar, on Flickr The tall spire crowns the entire tower: The Tower of Ernst and Isabella, Spire by Farseer Eldar, on Flickr After the battles with demons, Brother and Sister like to spend time together - looking at serene water of Writers' Lake from the balcony, for example. Ernst and Isabella on the balcony by Farseer Eldar, on Flickr Sometimes they meet Ernst's old friend, now-Queen Isolda Vuzurro. Queen Isolda, Ernst and Isabella on the balcony by Farseer Eldar, on Flickr The interior of the tower contains the kitchen, the library, the bedroom and the attic. It is inaccesible for no one but Isabella and Ernst themselves and their guests because it is actually located in another dimension. But, as you can see, some demons found a way to infiltrate the tower... The Tower of Ernst and Isabella Interior by Farseer Eldar, on Flickr The basement of the tower is narrow, and there are some treasures, a rat and (hopefully, demonic) bones... The Tower of Ernst and Isabella, Basement by Farseer Eldar, on Flickr The kitchen is on the first floor: The Tower of Ernst and Isabella, Kitchen (First Floor) by Farseer Eldar, on Flickr The clock hangs on the wall of the kitchen. Magical gas lamps provide the light: The Tower of Ernst and Isabella, Kitchen Clock by Farseer Eldar, on Flickr Ernst, Isabella and their friend Queen Isolda sometimes drink tea in the tower's kitchen: Isabella, Queen Isolda and Ernst in the kitchen by Farseer Eldar, on Flickr The kitchen has a vintage, steampunk-looking stove with a pipe. The Tower of Ernst and Isabella, Kitchen Stove by Farseer Eldar, on Flickr Ernst and Isabella make different food with their stove: Isabella and Ernst are cooking in the stove by Farseer Eldar, on Flickr A mischievous imp stole chicken legs from Ernst and Isabella, but they quickly spotted the thief: Demon hunters chase a mischievous imp by Farseer Eldar, on Flickr The library is located on the second floor: The Tower of Ernst and Isabella, Library (Second Floor) by Farseer Eldar, on Flickr The bookshelves contain lots of literature about demons and anti-demon magic. The famous PANDAEMONIUM, where various species of demons are described, is located there. The Tower of Ernst and Isabella, Library Bookshelves by Farseer Eldar, on Flickr Isabella is reading a book about demons while Ernst is writing about their last fight against armies of Hell. Isabella and Ernst in the library by Farseer Eldar, on Flickr The third floor stores the bedroom of Ernst and Isabella: The Tower of Ernst and Isabella, Bedroom (Third Floor) by Farseer Eldar, on Flickr The bedroom has a wardrobe, a bed and a staff holder: The Tower of Ernst and Isabella, Bedroom by Farseer Eldar, on Flickr The bed is enormous and comfortable, and demon hunters sleep there together. No Lannister-type subtext here - Ernst and Isabella cannot have children because of their not-so-really-human nature, but like to be together due to their magical bond with the Field: The Tower of Ernst and Isabella, Bed by Farseer Eldar, on Flickr Good night, demon hunters! Isabella and Ernst peacefully sleeping by Farseer Eldar, on Flickr This holder bears two magical staves with amethyst crystals that amplify the power of Isabella and Ernst: The Tower of Ernst and Isabella, Staff Holder by Farseer Eldar, on Flickr Brother and Sister prepare for their mission. Ernst and Isabella take their magic staves by Farseer Eldar, on Flickr The chandelier lights the bedroom: The Tower of Ernst and Isabella, Chandelier by Farseer Eldar, on Flickr The tower has a tall and massive attic: The Tower of Ernst and Isabella, Attic by Farseer Eldar, on Flickr The roof inside is inhabited by spiders and bats. No one knows how they got into the pocket dimension of the tower! The tower's attic is full of magical artifacts and things that were important in Brother and Sister's lives before they manifested their powers. The Tower of Ernst and Isabella, Attic by Farseer Eldar, on Flickr There is a fireplace in the attic (and a stuffed baby dragon too): The Tower of Ernst and Isabella, Attic Fireplace by Farseer Eldar, on Flickr Demons invade the attic. Probably, they appeared through a portal in some book... Demons invade the attic by Farseer Eldar, on Flickr Ultimately, Ernst and Isabella learned about the inursion and stopped the hellish invaders: Demon hunters fight the demons by Farseer Eldar, on Flickr Thank you for watching and reading! I hope you like this MOC and its concepts and lore. I would also like to hear some feedback and criticism to find out strong and weak sides of my works. More photos can be seen in my Flickr album!
  17. Hello again, Eurobricks! Here is my new work based on the universe of Warhammer 40000 tabletop game. The following story is not a part of WH40k official lore, but my own creation. An exile. He was banished from his own craftworld by his own student. The rescue of a human hive world at the cost of Aeldari lives brought consequences. He had to flee to a distant, forsaken, barren planet that previously belonged to the ancient Aeldari Empire, and there he built a wraithbone tower where he lived as a recluse. Two hundred Terran years have passed. The old friend brought news about the fracture of Biel-Tan. And about the birth of the Ynnari, a new cult of Death God Ynnead that gave a new hope to divided Aeldari (or Eldar, as they were called before) tribes, promising to end Chaos menace once and for all. And the exiled Farseer moved on and understood that his war is far from over. He rallied like-minded Aeldari from his home craftworld and other places, and together they turned his hideout into a base of a small army fighting on Ynnari's side. The base is built on a deserted, barren planet. The shining structures made of wraithbone, an Aeldari psychically-sensitive material, are raised atop a cliff. The fortress consists of three buildings: the Farseer's tower, the Soul Shrine and the plasma generator: Not far from the hideout a portal to the Webway, the trans-dimensional network of tunnels used by Aeldari for transportation, is located: Like the road, it existed before the Farseer arrived at the planet. Now the Ynnari use this ancient arch to appear on other planets and strike at their enemies such as Chaos, Necrons or Tyranids: The wraithbone staircase leads to the entrance: The Soul Shrine was erected after the Farseer pledged himself to Ynnead. This building serves as an armory and a training center: Its shape was inspired by Dawn of War video game: The plasma generator provides energy for the base: It looks like an Eldar generator from Dawn of War: A conservatory with air filtration system is located near the generator: Aeldari buildings are white, decorated with lots of gems and stones. A transparent dome rises above Farseer's tower: An ornate spire crowns the tower: Walls with windows - there are corridors behind them: Some technical device is located near the Soul Shrine: The Farseer's tower stands on ornate yet sturdy supports: Б A side view: Now the hideout is attacked by the forces of Chaos, led by Space Marines from Death Guard Legion. The Farseer had to get support from Ynnari leaders and Drukhari to repel the invasion of Eternal Enemy: Yvraine, the Daughter of Shades, the Herald of Ynnead and the leader of Ynnari clashed with a Chaos Lord who worships Nurgle, the God of Rot. She wields Kha-vir, one of ancient Croneswords, and is accompanied by Alorynis, her loyal Gyrinx familiar: Along Yvraine the Visarch fights. He is her mysterious bodyguard who never takes off his helmet. He is armed with Asu-var, another Cronesword, and strikes with it the Plaguebearers - virulent daemons of Nurgle: The exiled Farseer of craftworld Ermyaris leads his followers to battle. He is reading battle spells, holding up his Singing Spear, and his Gyrinx Murzinx enhances the psychic power of his master: Howling Banshees Exarch Eyla - the very same friend who told the Farseer about the Ynnari - strides towards Poxwalkers of Nurgle. She will destroy these plague zombies with her Executioner before they spread their foul diseases: Autarch Xaniele who left Ermyaris by her own will, rides her jetbike, armed with laser lance: Chaos forces advance. They have Chaos Space Marines, ordinary humans and daemons: The attack is led by Pestilens Bubulgor, Death Guard Chaos Lord. Like all Space Marines from that Legion, he bloated due to blessings of "Grandfather Nurgle" and merged with his power armor, through which horns and bones began to protrude. The Chaos Lord is armed with a manreaper scythe crowned by the mark of Nurlge, and a plasma pistol: Chaos Lord is accompanied by Plague Marines - common Death Guard warriors armed with boltguns. Like their leader, they turned into monstrous mutants: Plague Marines are joined by our old friend Nefaros. This Noise Marine from Emperor's Children Legion can now boast with his stylish guitar that can not only make disgusting noises, but shoot bolts and fire! And it bears the mark of Pleasure God Slaanesh! Near the Chaos Marines march the cultists - ordinary people from various planets who are devoted to Chaos. This particular cult is led by an old psyker who worships Tzeentch, the God of Knowledge and Magic: Poxwalkers slowly shamble behind human Chaos followers. These mindless zombies were once Imperial workers who got infested by Nurgle's plague: Near the Poxwalkers, an ogryn fights. This big and strong, but very stupid abhuman mutant joined the Chaos Cult only because of loyalty to his commanders. Plaguebearers - the disgusting one-eyed, one-horned daemons of Nurgle: United, the Aeldari stand tall against the minions of evil: The Farseer is aided by Drukhari - Dark Eldar who abandoned their vile lifestyles and joined the Ynnari. A Drukhari Reaver jetbike emerged from the Webway gate, firing at Chaos followers from a splinter rifle: This Drukhari squad is led by Archon Teniria who came to Ynnari with the pursue of knowledge: A Drukhari sword master from Incubi order fights with Bloodletters - the daemons of Blood God Khorne: Spiritseer Tillmiele casts her spells, calling to Aeldari souls: The base is defended well. Support platforms with D-cannons that create holes in reality, and Ranger Moyaz shell the enemies from the walls: The battle is in full swing: The barren battlefield landscape: And here is what the hideout looks inside. I wouldn't have been myself if I didn't make the interior: The entrance hall and corridors are elevated above an underground cave: This large and spacious hall is a good place for meetings and discussions: The entrance hall has a glassy floor: You can see behind it an enigmatic fountain with swirling souls. Even the Farseer does not know what it is. These ruines apparently remained from the ancient Aeldari Empire, and now the soul magics made the plants grow around them... The corridors have high windows and statues of ancient heroes: In the conservatory, the Aeldari grow vegetables and fruit for food. It also reminds them of the nature of their home craftworld. And of their ancestors' real homeworld that was utterly lost after the Fall: The garden is inhabited by Gyrinxes and other animals. The Aeldari grow the seedlings with special lamps: A generator room is placed above the conservatory. Here the control panel for the plasma generator is located. The mechanisms are maintained by a hovering drone: The Aeldari have forgotten how to make these robots, so they do not use them in combat. The generator's roof with a spinning crystal: Let's move to the Soul Shrine. Here is the Chamber of Wisdom where the Warlocks practice their battle magics: The female Warlock levitates without CGI. It appeared this way because of here cloak, and I chose to keep this detail. This room contains all for peaceful rest and thoughts - even tea to drink between practice: You can also go to the balcony to see the bleak landscape of the planet: The Chamber of Khaine is located on the next floor. There the Aeldari God of War is venerated. In this halls, Ynnari warriors keep their weapons and do their training: The Chamber is lit by flames in chalices: The next floor is dedicated to the Chamber of Spirits, the place where Spiritseer Tillmiele comprenends the magic of souls and wraithbone: Tillmiele's table is full with artifacts and has a flask with deceased Aeldari souls: In the Shrine's attic the shuriken weapons are stored: The entire tower above the entrance hall contains Farseer's personal apartments. It is the oldest part of this hideout: The interior has a chair near a stained glass window and a cosy bed: Another stained glass window and an exit to the balcony: The Farseer can look through his telescope at the stars... and at the glooming red scar of Dathedian, the Great Rift that tore apart the Galaxy: Near the large purple window, a table with magic equipment, a Singing Spear holder and Murzinx's dish with a fish are located: The thoughtful Farseer and his Gyrinx: The Farseer studies ancient texts at his desk and stops to pet Murzinx: Above the heads of the Farseer and his high-ranking guest, shelves with potions and scrolls... and the vines can be found: Under the dome a pillar of shining soul energy comes, and around it plants with precious gems grow: The very same phenomenon was observed under the glassy floor. The Farseer cannot explain this magical effect yet. The spire houses a small room with various old artifacts: Here the Farseer stores his previous Singing Spear and a stasis cell with the spirit stone of Myranna - his deceased sister. Let's move to the dungeons. The Soul Shrine contains the library with many texts about magic and Chaos collected by the Farseer himself: The workshop where the Bonesingers repair the jetbikes after battles: Aeldari engineers use unusual tools such as a psytronome which rests on a table: The refectory - the place where Aeldari cook and eat their food: Cells with beds where Aeldari sleep and live: Now, when the tour of the Farseer's base is over, it is time to look at the characters. Let's start with servants of Chaos. The Lord (at center) and two Plague Marines of Death Guard - disgustingy resilient mutants with bone protrusions on their power armor: The Chaos Lord is armed with manreaper scythe, and the Plague Marines are armed with boltguns. One Plague Marine holds a bell - one of Nurlge's symbols. For this MOC, I changed the construction of Space Marines maxifigures from the previous work, and now their arms do not look like sticks. The back view - here you can see how Nurlge's "gifts" change even the power armor backpacks: Noise Marine Nefaros is a maniac who loves to kill with sickening sound waves. The bright colors of his armor and a guitar-shaped sonic weapon are a reference to old 80s Noise Marine miniatures: Nefaros from the back: Plague Marine and Noise Marine are brothers forever! Here you can see that a Plague Marine is taller than a Noise Marine even with his "disco" heels. The blessings of Nurgle make his followers bloated. Chaos Cultists: I had a lot of fun inventing this patchy scum. Their leader is a Tzeentchian psyker so he wields a bird staff. A standard bearer holds a Chaos Star sigil. Ogryn's horned helmet is a reference to old "bone 'ead" Ogryn Imperial Guard sergeants. Chaos Poxwalkers - plague zombies as they are: Lesser daemons of Chaos - Bloodletters of Khorne and Plaguebearers of Nurgle: Now come the Aeldari. Yvraine, the Prophet of Ynnead, the Visarch (it's a title, not a name), her mysterious champion, and Alorynis, her pet Gyrinx: Yvraine wears a dress back from ancient Empire days, and the Visarch is clad in ornate Bel-Anshoc style armor. They appeal to old ways because they want to restore the former glory of Aeldari race with the help of Ynnead who can defeat Slaanesh and Chaos. Yvraine's dress and Visarch's collar are lavishly decorated: Yvraine, the Visarch and Alorynis are the only canon Warhammer 40000 characters mentioned in this topic. I have some units in the form of WH40k miniatures, so I can compare LEGO and Warhammer 40000 versions with each other. Here are two Yvraines and two Alorynises: And two Visarchs: The psykers of craftworld Ermyaris - two Warlocks, the Farseer and the Spiritseer. And, of course, Murzinx - the Farseer's Gyrinx and the descendant of Murzion: Warlocks and the Farseer are armed with Singing Spears and shuriken pistols. The Spiritseer wields a staff and a dagger. Farseers and Murzinxes from LEGO and Warhammer 40000: Spiritseer Tillmiele and her prototype from the tabletop: By the way, she was a student of Spiritseer Salarian who remained loyal to the current ruling Council of Ermyaris. Warlocks - two minifigures and one miniature: Now I have a good explanation why my Aeldari do not wear helmets - in canon many Ynnari do not wear them either. Autarch Skyrunner on her jetbike: She wields a laser lance, and twin shuriken catapults are located beneath the jetbike's hull. Two Autarchs - note that this miniature bike is outdated, so I based the LEGO version on a newer one: Exarch Eyla (at the center) and two Howling Banshees: These female warriors are armed with power swords and shuriken pistols, and the Exarch wields the Executioner power glaive. Banshees from two different worlds: Ranger Moyaz in chameleoline cloak, armed with sniper rifle: With a WH40k Ranger miniature: Guardians are the civilian militia of craftworld Aeldari. Two of them wield shuriken catapults, and other two operate artillery platforms: Guardians from LEGO and the tabletop game: Vaul's Wrath anti-grav artillery platforms with distorting cannons (or D-cannons): They are used as defensive weapons of the base. A platform with its prototype from Warhammer 40000: Drukhari (or Dark Eldar) - an Incubi, an Archon and a Wych: Archon Teniria is a sophisticated person who likes philosophy, so she dresses more gallantly than her edgy brethren. Drukhari Reaver jetbike: The civilians - every base needs maintenance personnel. And, of course, Gyrinxes to catch mice! A bonus frame - an unlucky take or... something more? 19. Its hard to say that it is a MOC for 100%. It is more like an art / picture. At first I've built a 3D scene in Stud.io (about 1.5k parts), create some unique parts in Part Designer, rendered several times with different angles nad types of light, and than cobine all these pictures in Photoshop. I'm not professional in PS, so it takes me a lot of time to get what I want. Yeah, it was harder than build with real bricks I didn't build every crew for each cannon, but I'm in process. Don't know why I need them, but I want to get finished 3D scene. Btw, does anyone want to unite and make this scene more interesting with 3D programs ( 3D Max, Blender etc.)?

  21. Figbarf, Magnhildr the Wanderer. Put this character together for another bash at the Heroica RPG quest being run in the games section. Parts: Ninjago Hair, Widowmaker Head, Kraven The Hunter collar, Fabric cape from Star Wars, Torso is a Rebel/Resistance. Weapon from Ninjago, Black utility belt. Legs are TLM2 Wyldstyle. Character: "Little is known about Magnhildr; "she" has been recorded by the tribes for centuries, wandering in and out of settlements with useful items to trade - food, hides, tools and scrap the people could use traded for entertaining trinkets. A barbarian by necessity, the icy wastelands are a dangerous place. Those who have simply encountered her have been scared off by the stern looking figure. However, the families she has traded with for generations know a different side of the Etherian they call Mags. A person who loves the fractals of the ice she wanders through and has been known to swap a valuable item for a child's drawing." With Theme Music! More MOCs for this figure will be coming, the little backdrop is a go at something Techno-Magical. Thanks for taking a look!
  22. So this question may seem a little out there, but bear with me (and if this fits in better on the Sci-Fi Forum, than by all means move it over). I recently published a review of Witch's Windship here a few days ago given the season, and in it I mentioned how I ended up picking up most of that particular wave. Whether that was folly or not remains to be seen, as I've only built two out of four of the mid-sized sets. But I do find parts of this subtheme appealing, especially when we get to the different flying machines. Given the actual state of the official sets, I'm already in the process of modding them to have a more consistent color scheme, but want to go further. Given how this subtheme already dabbled in more "advanced" technology for LEGO Castle compared to other subthemes, I was considering incorporating some more "machinery" that would be high-tech...for the Middle Ages as I modify the existing line. For instance, I'm thinking of reverse-engineering a device similar to the one from the Scary Laboratory in the Studios line, where you have a door and a turntable you can spin to "transform" a minifigure. But given how I'm working in a more medieval setting, I'm not sure a direct transfer would mesh as well. So my question is whether anyone may have any thoughts on what kind of parts would make a contraption like the one I described appear more "medieval," instead of Victorian. More clockwork mechanisms? Gears? Wagon Wheels? Or is this a silly question, and should I just try a direct transfer? Given the era, I'm inclined to stay away from any designs that resemble the harnessing of electricity, and am trying to consider what other designs I could implement to convey a sense of power being harnessed for this infernal machine.
  23. Fantasy-horror minifigures each using at least one recent-ish LEGO part. Yes, some of the accessories aren't LEGO. But given that even TLG has on at least one occasion used a third party piece in their marketing, I don't think I've committed a mortal sin. Back row L to R: wraith, necromancer Front row L to R: cambion, spectre, devilkin, angel of death Questions? Comments? Creepiness?
  24. Hey all this is a build of mine thats part of an original theme I have been working on! What do you think? Any feedback appreciated! There are currently 2 other sets in the theme. It's up on LEGO Ideas so please feel free to check out more images and support if you like it! https://ideas.lego.com/projects/322bc554-a4ab-4a7d-86ad-b755379e73a5
  25. Been ages since I posted something here, but this one just had to be added. I never thought this day would come. I really thought 2020 would take this from me, but jokes on it! My last order got in on December 24th! So, let's get this one started! Back in 2013, I made this bad boy. It's the Dwarven "Fury" Siege Tank for my dwarf army. Well, I kept it for a long time. I always had plans to revisit this MOC because, well... it really sucks. I mean, it's open top, the mechanics are really bad, and overall never quite matched my ideal siege tank. So, I decided to go back to my initial inspiration: Grabbing this picture and a better idea of how to proceed, I darted off to Stud.io, and slaved away to bring you... The Dwarven "Fury" Siege Tank 2.0 Bigger, badder, and just overall more pleasing to me, I'm quite proud of this one. Compared to 1.0, this version features a much better system for fuel generation. It's easily accessible, and allows for additional tools to be stored. The only downside, as with all of the dwarven artillery, the tank has its inherent flaws. While refueling is easy, it also creates a HUGE weak spot to be exploited. Correct faction colors have also been added! The army of Faermoore is dark red and red, not blue and gold. Though the cannon is smaller, the overall turret is just a massive upgrade. I even added a spyglass and a cloth roll for a little bit of details. A hatch was also added for easy access. The front is no longer a terrible ram, but rather a sloped, spiked, front plate. The grills are windows, allowing the driver to see outside. As for the two red 1x3 plates, let's just say some decals are intended to go there. OH! And MOC'ing features have also been added! Steam can come from the steam tank and the cannon can actually be shown shooting. Additionally, trans-clear pieces can be added to show ammo flying across the field. So that's another bonus! Following my earlier system of 3-5-7 (three heavy, five medium, and seven light), three of these tanks were made to further the war effort. And that's all for now! Just happy to have crossed this off of my "To-Do" List for 2020. Hope you all enjoyed! As always, C&C is welcome and appreciated! - Nick
