This late-1930's American-styled coupe car model is heavily modified and recolored from these free police car instructions as seen at this Rebrickable MOC by user Leewan. I remade it into both yellow (not shown) and blue varieties from the original black-and-white, removed the doors, and revised some other stuff "under the hood". Also, the model bears a resemblance to the titular car from the 1952 Disney short film 'Susie the little blue coupe'. The front of the car. The rear of the car. The inside can seat two figures and the roof is removable. (Picture from Wikipedia - the short's music is still under copyright, but the pictures are not, strangely!) I couldn't do the radio antenna on my MOC, as it changes sides on the car from scene to scene. Also, I couldn't get the eyes on the windscreen. Fun facts: - The design of the Disney / Pixar 'Cars universe' characters was inspired by Susie. - Bill Peet wrote the story treatment for Susie the little blue coupe. (he was quite prolific as a writer and animator for Disney, see his wiki page) Later, he also write the book 'The Caboose Who got Loose', another one of my favorite books - and MOC's! ...and that's all I got. Hello Creator and Disney fans, Mickey Mouse is a legendary American cartoon character co-created in 1928 by Walt Disney and Ub Iwerks. Steamboat Willie is a 1928 American animated short film directed by them. It was produced in black and white and this cartoon is considered the debut of both Mickey and Minnie Mouse. I wanted to create a clean model which is as accurate as possible in this scale. It includes many typical details: the shoes, the pants with buttons etc.. Maybe the most challenging one was the head with some tricky build techniques. IMG_5975 by SK MOC, 於 Flickr My tribute to Akira Toriyama, who suddenly passed away on March 1. Probably the most popular manga of Toriyama san is the Dragon Ball. However, to me it is Dr. Slump which gave me so much joy in my childhood years. Dr. Slump was created in the early 1980s. So, you may be too young to have heard this famous manga that had since then made Toriyama san a top manga creator. Hope you would be attracted to watch this manga. 博士 by SK MOC, 於 Flickr Dr. Slump (Senbei Norimaki) He is a creative scientiest/inventor in the Penguin Village. The main character Arale Norimaki is his creation. He is extremely erotic and is particularly so when he meets his lover Midori Yamabuki. 山吹老師 by SK MOC, 於 Flickr Midori Yamabuki, teacher of Arale Norimaki Lover of Dr. Slump and they finally are married. 英俊博士 by SK MOC, 於 Flickr Dr. Slump could be very handsome and tall when he feels such a need arises, particularly when he is in front of Midori. However, such a handsome look usually lasts no more than 2 seconds. 小雲 by SK MOC, 於 Flickr Arale Norimaki the main and most popular character. She was a robot invented by Dr. Slump. She was kind and innocent to the extent that she hardly know about the dark side of reality. She possesses mighty power but she misuses it and creates trouble. She likes to play with poop. 小吉 by SK MOC, 於 Flickr Gatchan. He is hatched from an egg which Dr. Slump brings from the prehistoric ages. He is then adopted into the Norimaki family. He likes to eat anything including even metal scraps and he likes to follow Arale no matter where she goes. 宇宙大王 by SK MOC, 於 Flickr King Nikochan and his servant They are aliens from an inferior race. They come to conquer the earth on the assumption that it is a planet weak enough to conquer. However, they meet Arale and Gatchan and their spaceship is eaten by the latter. Since then they have to stay in the earth and search hopelessly for another spaceship. The most obvious feature of these characters are their buttocks are grown on the top. 太郎 by SK MOC, 於 Flickr Taro Soramame A high school student of the Penguin Village and a friend of Arale. He has a trendy look and seems to be a bit arrogant. However, he has a kind heart.…… 小茜 by SK MOC, 於 Flickr Akane Kimidori A good friend of Arale. She is a bit rebellious and looks for small advantage. She often takes advantage from Arale. However, basically she is kind-hearted. 小雄 by SK MOC, 於 Flickr Peasuke Soramome Classmate of Arale and little brother of Taro Soramome. His height is always mocked about by his friends and Taro. 馬斯特博士 by SK MOC, 於 Flickr Dr. Mashirito Villain of this manga. He keeps thinking that Dr. Slump is an obstacle to his evil plan of conquering the world. So, he wish to defeat Dr. Slump, Arale and Gatchan. He created several robots in an attempt to achieve this, the most notable one is Obotchaman or Caramel Man 004. 小寶寶 by SK MOC, 於 Flickr Obotchaman / Caramel Man 004 It is created by Dr. Mashirito in order to destroy Arale. However, he turns out to be a kind-hearted robot and they become friends. 春夢婆婆 by SK MOC, 於 Flickr Grandma Spring, a supporting role in the manga. She often appears in the manga suddenly. She has been playing hide-and-seek with other spirits for the whole life. 草菇妹妹 by SK MOC, 於 Flickr Kinoko Sarada A lousy little girl and she enjoys being alone. She always rides a tricycle and asks other people to perm their hair. 史谷 by SK MOC, 於 Flickr Skop. This character is modelled after Spock of the Star Trek. He is a classmate of Arale and the top student of the school of the Penguin Village. He prefers to concentrate on his studies and he never has a clue why everyone in the school is not studying seriously. 鳥山明 by SK MOC, 於 Flickr The self-portrait of Akira Toriyama He often appears in the manga when the author feels the need to make an explanation of what is happening in the cartoon. The author portraits himself as a bird because his name contains the word of "tori" which is "bird" in English. 酸梅乾超人 by SK MOC, 於 Flickr Suppaman When in disguise, he works as a reporter. He changes his clothes in a phone booth and eats a pickled plum and rolls around with his belly on a skateboard. He lies to himself that he is going to protect the world. However, neither he has a sense of justice nor real superpowers. He doesn't care much about the safety of other people but only about his reputation and is being regarded as a hero, and is easily offended when others make fun of him. He's a coward in front of enemies, and mean and violent towards innocent villagers as he usually launches grenades at people who annoy him for some reason. 豬 by SK MOC, 於 Flickr Pig-copter He makes minor appearance in the manga. Usually he makes announcement to the people of the Penguin Village, such as to say good morning. 警察 by SK MOC, 於 Flickr Policemen of Penguin Village They actually have names. The taller one is Pagos and the shorter is Gala. They appear frequently in the manga but they are doomed to be played trick by Arale and Gatchan. Their car is squashed completely every time.

"Sometimes, late at night, you can hear the whistle wail with a spooky, screechy sound like a wheel gone off the rail; and up in the smoky clouds, you can almost recognize the ghost of a crazy engineer with fiery cinder eyes; I say, Whoo-whoo! Can't you hear the haunted train? Whoo-whoo! Waiting on a haunted train I'm gonna, crash that engine, you know, only sticks and stones and old conductors' bones remain..." This steam loco was from the first animated train cartoon I ever saw when I was very small (three years old, from what I'm told), and is one of my favorites, easily beating The Brave Engineer (1950's Disney cartoon) and only being bested by The Polar Express film! I got the basic looks for the model from a single screenshot of the 1990's Nickelodeon cartoon show "Hey Arnold!". The engine seem to be based on Norfolk and Western K-1 class 4-8-2, but is apparently owned by Great Northern as evidenced by the tender writing. You can read more about the haunted engine, it's known story, and even potential theories for why it crashed here on the Arnold wiki. (yes, that's a thing, and credit to Paul Welch on Flickr for bringing this info to my attention.) The following text is from the wiki page for the episode: "As shown in the episode of the same name (Haunted Train), the legend concerns the phantom locomotive, Old Engine 25. Forty years ago (from original broadcast date, so November 1956), during a movement from the train yard to Union Station, Engine 25's engineer suddenly went insane. Defying signals and warnings to slow down, he intentionally derailed the engine and its train which slid down a high embankment. However, no wreckage was found beyond the engineer's severed hand, still clutching a part of Engine 25's throttle. According to the legend, the engineer drove the train straight to the fiery underworld, and now once a year on the anniversary of the engine's derailment, returns aboard Engine 25 with the intent of collecting new passengers to return to the underworld with him." There is even a song used over the closing credits of the episode, sung by the ghostly crazed engineer who drove his train all the way to hell (see first portion of post for that song!) And yes, I know a steam engine is not a entire train... it may partially make up a train, but it itself is not a train. The front of the ghostly locomotive. The engine's boiler is a highly modified version of one seen on this Rebrickable MOC by @Plastic_Goth (only the boiler is partially reused, I designed everything else myself). The rear of the engine. Inside of the engine's cab. The baggage car. Three coaches. The observation-lounge car. Yeah, I know the engine from the Hey Arnold! cartoon episode 'Haunted Train ' only had a ghost engineer. But I thought a ghostly conductor would be a good addition, and I just couldn't resist. You will note the loco's fireman is not present here; he must've jumped off just before the wreck and survived, so he isn't a ghost. (some fan theory's say Arnold's grandpa was the fireman, as he did work for the railroad and saw first hand what happened during the wreck) ...Would you look at that! It's the anniversary tonight of the wreck! Won't you go on a lovely train ride with me? Thoughts welcome! Meet Linus, the Brave Locomotive from Andrew Chatsworth's "The Brave Locomotive" animation on YouTube. I decided to make this 2-4-0 out of LEGO after watching the short over and over, as it's an inspiring tale and very well done animation-wise. (Shout out to Peter, a friend of mine who showed me the short in the first place!) I did make some changes to Linus' design, such as adding a number to his tender and cab. (He's become engine No. 2, in case you were wondering) I also borrowed heavily from the 2019 Disney train and 2010 Toy Story Western Train Chase sets. In fact, the Toy Story loco is engine number 1 on my railroad. The rear of the steamer. (handrail parts and some printed tiles are missing in LDD) Linus' engineer from the animated short, Henry, will be built as well at some point too. (probably by using most of the CMF series 25 train-suit kid figure) The whole train together. Once Linus is built in the real world, he will be added to my Conjunction Junction train, which also has Katy Caboose (from the book 'The Caboose Who Got Loose', and heavily inspired by a @zephyr1934 MOC.) featured as well. Dragon Megatron is the leader of bad guys in Beast Wars cartoon series back in the 1990s. He had many alternate modes and dragon is his final mode from the series. Here , I have built my own Dragon Megatron using only parts from lego set 31129! And this creation here is my 11th Transformers built using this set!! Hi! That is my entry for the new contest: a tractor mixed with a dragster with a cartoon style! I amplified the shapes of a real tractor: I put huge rear wheels compared to the frond ones, there are 2 big headlights on the front of the hood... The only fonction of this MOC is that it is powered by a pull back motor. (Also, you can move the spoiler because it is fixed with a pin with friction, but that doesn't upgrade the playability) The anti-roll bar has a real utility. Without, the tractor finishes on its roof. The shock absorber is really useful: without, at the acceleration, the drive wheels "jump", they are not in contact with the floor anymore, so the motor is not used at 100%. So actually, the tractor does wheelies smoothly. That's all! -

Gotta get back, back to the past... Samurai Jack! Armed with a magic sword, a heroic samurai warrior sets out to defeat the evil demon sorcerer Aku. However, Aku transports him into the distant future, where the residents name him "Jack". Now Samurai Jack must find a way to return home to the past and obliterate Aku once and for all! Don't forget your hat, Jack! "Who dares to summon I, Aku?!" Using all the pieces to make his main form, Aku can "shape-shift" by being rebuilt into a scorpion... …or even a winged creature! This is *almost* a Disney train - Linus the 2-4-0 steam engine is from "The Brave Locomotive" that was started by Disney animator Andrew Chatsworth before he got hired, Bill Peet wrote "The Caboose who Got Loose" some years after being let go from Disney, and Conjunction Junction (part of "School House Rock!" educational TV series) was created by ABC, which is now owned by Disney. (from Andrew Chatsworth's animation on Youtube as seen here. ) I decided to make this 2-4-0 out of LEGO after watching the short over and over, as it's an inspiring tale and very well done animation-wise. I did make some changes to Linus' design from the cartoon, such as adding a number 2 to his tender and cab. I also borrowed heavily from the 2019 Disney train and 2010 Toy Story Western Train Chase sets. (Linus is actually missing one part - the smokestack from the Orient Express. The stack seen above is a stand-in and will be replaced at some point.) The rear of the engine. Sorry for the color issues with some of these photos, it's because my phone camera doesn't like taking pictures of blue objects.... no idea why. On September 29th, 1973, a new School house ROCK (link to wiki page for those unfamiliar with what that is) music video was played for the first time alongside your regular American Saturday morning cartoons such as Scooby-Doo, old Rocky and Bullwinkle show episodes and maybe some Johnny Quest. This new music video featured a diminutive stereotypical train conductor, two hobos (one fat and tall, and one small and skinny), and a train with words on it... not just any words, but CONJUNCTIONS, as the name of the video and location is Conjunction Junction. This train is shown in order above, with comments about what it could possibly be carrying in the fictional ROCK-verse. The first two (NOT + THIS) are obviously Boxcars. The BUT tanker (most likely hauling Butane) and THAT boxcar. Finally, AND (which is possibly a refrigerated goods wagon) plus an OR (ore) hopper. All together, these train cars taught (and entertained!) generations of school-age children and some older adults about Conjunctions, and other videos taught about American history, the environment, math (multiplication tables up to 12 but skipping the number 1), science, money and even early home computers! (among MANY other subjects) All of them can be found on Disney +, as Disney owns ABC, which is who made the original music videos. Heavily inspired by @zephyr1934's MOC of "Katy" from the classic children's book "The Caboose who got Loose" by ex-Disney animator Bill Peet. Zephyr's version can be seen here in his own topic. I didn't want to use stickers for Katy's eyes like what's being done by the original builder, so I decided to use the eyes from set 43186 (Bruni the Salamander buildable character) from the Disney Frozen II line . I also added a actual mouth, as just the two eyes without something between them looked kind of odd, most likely because of the specific eyes I chose. The MOC I based this on used a different method for the mouth using a lot of SNOT-work.... I used a brick with 2 studs on the sides and two quarter tiles to give her a open mouth. The roof has also been modified, and a different stove pipe added compared to what the original MOC has. However, what's a freight train without someone or somewhere to tell it where to go next? Enter the railyard dispatch center, which is not just any old building: it's the Conjunction Junction dispatch office as seen in the education cartoon series Schoolhouse Rock "Conjunction Junction" episode from September '73. I've made some changes to the original cartoon design, such as adding a removable roof to the building (for getting access to the inside details), and placing a water tower nearby for thirsty steam locomotives. The tower top rotates a full 360 degrees with the water pipe, allowing the engineer to pull up, get his loco full of (imaginary) water, shove the pipe away, and move on. Also, there is a dilapidated boxcar behind the water tower for the Junction's two resident hobos. Inside the openable building is a typical furniture for the 1930-'50's time period which I think the cartoon takes place in. This includes: - corner desk with telephone, a railroad oil can, and lantern, plus two chairs - oil fired heater / stove - time clock next to a day-at-a-time calendar showcasing a exotic locale - potted plant, just because! EDIT 11/28/23: Added Katy caboose and Linus - the brave locomotive to the main post, which has been completely redone! Thoughts welcome!
