Thanks for the info; I was on the fence, and this was what I needed to go get it!

Thanks, I think you have a great start! The floor and office areas are well done. Glad to have some reference photos when I start to mod mine. Double skylight might look cool.

This is very similar to what I had envisioned building, Lego Conductor! Do you think it is more efficient to pick up the needed extra bricks separately, or just get another Brick Bank? Great work, by the way! I'd love to see some pictures of the interior too.

Thanks for the suggestion, I'm finding some great ideas!

I have an area of about 12' x 6' in a basement room for displaying my LEGO town, and I'd like to buy or build a table. Can someone point me to some examples or how-to resources? Thanks!

Awesome, I think the hammock might be my favorite detail!

I'm in the Midwest, and it's usually about one week from order to arrival, maybe a day or two less.

If you are LDD-savvy, I think you could download the Pet Shop LXF file, delete everything except the building floor you're interested in verifying, then output the parts inventory: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=41226&st=1775

This is what I want to know as well. Not a big fan of the printed bags from the previous series, the backpack accessories are much better IMO.

Sounds very similar to what I had envisioned, Off the wall! I hope you'll post a picture of it at some point; it'll help me decide if I should go ahead with another one!

Um, so to sorta derail the hostility train... I picked up a copy of DO at my local LEGO store on the 1st. Haven't built it yet, partly because I'm thinking of mirroring each side like I did with Pet Shop. There, I ended up with a really cool residential building, and a large pet store that I'm still modding. I like the potential for the Highlander, with a double door entrance, a bar near the pool table, and a large office for Ace (or maybe a sassy, competing female detective next door?). Not sure how well Al's will expand with the alley, but hey, it's LEGO so it'll work eventually. Anyone else want to buy multiple sets and mirror expand like that?

Kickstarter: ME Models Tracks for both metal and ABS only track pieces
SSJ2 Dark replied to JopieK's topic in LEGO Train Tech
I received my sample pack today also, very good stuff! The clutch power on the sleepers and connectors is excellent! I have plans to set up a full train layout, and I think I'm going to source all my track from ME Models. Congrats, your hard work definitely shows! By single-piece fused units, I imagine that means the sleepers and connectors would be permanently bonded to the rails? I would also be interested in purchasing individual components, specifically the rails, as other users have suggested. I think once you're on a solid flat surface, you could just use a standard 2x8 plate on the rail-to-rail connection without much issue. -
Incredible, the level of detail is fantastic, even with piece limitations! Reminds me of the game SimCity in a nostalgic way. That diagonal building near the center of the fourth pic is my favorite; getting those angles to work well must've been challenging!

I've always thought the fewer seams between bricks you have, the better. But those seams really give your creation excellent detail and depth!

Alternate Models Challenge - 60044 Mobile Police Unit
SSJ2 Dark replied to Peteris_Sprogis's topic in LEGO Town
Remarkably clean given the limited part pool! I like how both vehicles have a distinct style. Should we be worried that the criminal is the flagman? -
Fantastic detail! I love all the small details and functionality, like hiding the PF battery box in the snow plow and the rebel pilot eating a popsicle next to his snowspeeder. Really inspires me to work on my LEGO town, thank you!

I have 2x Green Grocer, 1x Fire Brigade, 2x Grand Emporium, 2x Pet Shop, 1x Town Hall, 1x Palace Cinema, and 1x Parisian Restaurant. I plan to get 1-2 more Town Halls (I disagree with the general consensus that TH is dull, I think it's one of the most iconic and sleek modulars out there), and 1 more Parisian Restaurant. However, I'm debating whether to get them in October for 2x VIP points, or gamble that they will have another 3x VIP points on Black Friday in November. Any thoughts on that?

Received an email that Amazon (Prime) had it available for purchase and shipping in a few days, but it was sold out again within a few hours. That's surprising...

For anyone else like me who missed the initial offering, a LEGO rep told me by email that Exo Suit will be back in stock around August 24th.

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
SSJ2 Dark replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
Not to get too far off topic, but what do you guys think the likelihood is of another triple VIP points sale? I believe they had one last year on Black Friday, but there was nothing I wanted at the time. Might wait to get Town Hall then (assuming it isn't discontinued by then), because that would be a major savings. -

Just nabbed (hopefully) a Grand Emporium from LEGO.com. If you really want one, keep checking the website. They're still going in and out of stock. -
Review Review: 70816 Benny's Spaceship, Spaceship, SPACESHIP!
SSJ2 Dark replied to Rufus's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I did indeed modify the compartment under Unikitty's station, and it holds four classic spacemen comfortably. Though they do need to lean forward just slightly so their helmet clears the bracket from Unikitty's seat.- 228 replies
