  1. Well I have a soft spot for RES-Q, so sneaking in some elements from that would be cool. Lots of possibilities for trans-dark blue!
  2. Nice pics at the end, it's always nice to see a little random action in LEGO City! That gazebo is really unique, and the window section on the post office is great. So is the dog the same as in the Pet Shop? Looks like it.
  3. Cool, I was thinking of getting one of these as a collectible to store (or maybe bring out some Christmas for a future child ). So I wonder if the Post Office is at LEGO stores already? It's shown as available at the website.
  4. Looks great! I'm not very fond of that black wall at the bottom of the structure, and I think you could use some clever tricks to block the hinges. How about a door mat, and a window sill (you've got those flowers there now, so this probably isn't even needed)? Are you going to glue the pieces? I see that tree and the flowers going down quickly if there's no adhesive to keep them there.
  5. I see a lot of cool new pieces in the small sets, and that's fantastic news. Pearl gold ingots, pearl gold coins, globe, pirate hats and beards. Now how about those ships in a bottle? I can't really tell if it's a new or existing piece, or if the ship part is a sticker. It looks good from a distance, though.
  6. I'm guessing there's no new info on the International Space Station set? It's not in the new catalogs, so it must be releasing later on.
  7. Having purchased two of them for modding, the 7946 King's Castle is a great set with lots of useful light bluish-gray pieces.
  8. About a month ago, I saw this awesome micro version of the 10210 Imperial Flagship. From what I remember, it was atop some blue bricks, and it used 1x2 and 2x2 white tiles for sails. It looked a bit like this: I had an idea to use it for a minifig scale conference table, but unfortunately I did not save the image. Does anyone remember this one and where I can find it. Thanks in advance.
  9. Wait, so Walmart lets you beat on their Lego display, and lets you tip the display around to take pictures of the bottom of it? Maybe they need a security guard to protect it.
  10. Yep, Legoland had this in stock. Looks like I've got a project for tomorrow morning!
  11. Gonna call the Legoland in Minneapolis tomorrow and see if they've got this in. The larger pictures definitely have me more excited about it.
  12. I really like the satellite arm, the engines, and the landing gears, but I think the shuttle nose could use some modding. It looks too blocky as it stands, perhaps that was a budget limitation. I'm pretty sure I'll pick this up and try to come up with a shuttle nose improvement. Perhaps some of those slopes on the rocket might provide some inspiration.
  13. Anyone else thinking about buying two of these and putting them back to back? I wish I had done that for the Winter Toy Shop so it would've blended in more with the modular sets.
  14. Hey, I don't want to bring up an old topic, but I have some info here that some of you might find helpful. I e-mailed LEGO about the availability of GG, and received this reply: I have great news for you! The Green Grocer will be out for at least the next year, so there is no rush to purchase it. I actually recently purchased it and it's a great build, so I hope you enjoy it! Thank you again for contacting us. We wish your family many happy hours of creative building with LEGO brand toys in the years to come. 15. Hmm, I've been on the hunt for Luke's Landspeeder here in MN, and after two Walmarts and one Legoland, no luck. Does anyone have suggestions to make my search more fruitful?
