  1. We got ours a drawer cart for loose parts and a bookshelf for the built sets. He tossed whatever in the drawers, no logical sorting but it's accessible. Now that he is in the Dark Ages, I'm re-using the draw cart.
  2. Table top made with two shelving pieces on an old sewing machine stand.
  3. Happy Technic New Years. A 1.5 months left to work on TC6.
  4. Happy New Year! Jar Jar has a front seat to Joker's new year's fire works show. Day 001 of 365: Welcome 2015 by dr_spock_888, on Flickr
  5. I think 8258 Crane Truck too. All those gears.
  6. I wouldn't be comfortable cutting vintage tracks. You can also cut flex track to make the connection since no one seems to like flex track. I think the bits to cut off is above the yellow line.
  7. Nice locomotive. Is it a MK 48?
  8. Day 002 of 365: Rancor Munchie by dr_spock_888, on Flickr
  9. Create the GIF file and post it on a photo hosting site like flickr, photobucket, etc. On Eurobricks, edit your profile. In the signature section, deep link the GIF from the photo hosting site into your signature. That's all to it.
  10. I have two HE sets. I replaced the train wheels with axle hole/tires on the second engine with more free rolling bogie train wheels. I made another jacob bogie to join the two sets and modified the bottom sills of the connecting cars. The above two MODs I reused the wheels from the two bogies with couplers. Turned one of the cafe cars into a second class car.
  11. Welcome aboard, Jangular.
  12. 6 hours and 11 minutes here in the EST time zone.
  13. Cool build. There goes the neighborhood. Love the pink and wackiness. It might clash with the earth tones of the Winter Village sets.
  14. Beach since there are usually large groups of people there and law and order need to be maintained. Good use of the police ATV sets.
  15. Nice. My Friends Mia would approve.
  16. Excellent work. Where do they get the dancing music?
  17. When using a flash, you can set the white balance to "flash" if the auto WB doesn't work well. The difference between strobes and your speedlite is power and cost. You probably don't need strobes for small LEGO models. Recharge time is depend on the model and brand. My old Vivitar 2800 recharges pretty quickly compared to my Canon 430EX. Here is a good lighting 101 from Strobist: http://strobist.blogspot.ca/2006/03/lighting-101.html
  18. Thanks. After some search, I have an actual Jar Jar now. Let the hate begin.
  19. I use cheap Cactus V4 radio triggers with my old Vivitar flash off camera. I shoot with camera in manual mode. I don't have room for a photo studio setup of softboxes, umbrellas, etc. Using the small speedlite type flash is quick and easier to setup and put away. Since the flashes are small, it is also easy to move them around the model for different lighting angles.
  20. From their FAQ: The SBrick can safely handle 1.5 Amperes per channel. The overcurrent protection of the chip will engage somewhere between 1.6 and 3.5 amperes.
  21. Nice work with the stickers. I think the Jacob bogie attached to the right of the BAR car may have lost a couple of pieces somewhere.
  22. You could try making your own:
  23. Congrats, Daniel!. You're closer to BrickCon too.
  24. Get the Dolphin Cruiser. It's a fun build.
  25. Congrats to the winners.
