  1. Welcome to Eurobricks. Sounds like you need a bigger house.
  2. It depends on what you already have in terms of parts that can be used for a ship. Do you want a brick built hull or the large hull pieces? Actual mast pieces or build your own, etc.
  3. I recently stumbled upon the Dolphin Cruise episode on YouTube. It made good use of the Dolphin Cruise set in the story. It was fun as I have the boat. This and that looked familiar or I remember building that part of the boat.
  4. You can probably experiment using a bread board. Or take apart the PF switch to reverse engineer it. An ideal new part would be a 2x2 plate or brick with contacts wired for reverse polarity. Really handy if you're running multiple train motors in the same train.
  5. Dusting my MOCs and sets and sneezing.
  6. Looks like the 2015 base plates have new part numbers. The old ones (620, 626, 628) seem to be discounted and sold out on S@H. What's new with the new ones? Is it a new mold?
  7. You could imagine the two "rear legs" are used to operate the 6 front ones or it lost two legs in some battle.
  8. So cute. Nice use of the mini-LAs.
  9. I think I've seen these before somewhere. We had a few painted topics over the years. There are good how-tos with good qualiy model spray gun and air compressor in the model railroad magazines and books.
  10. Have you tried using a 8885 IR remote instead of the train speed remote? Are your batteries showing "good" when tested with a battery tester? Have you checked for friction in your model?
  11. Welcome to Eurobricks.
  12. $7.99 is the current price in Canada. Price matching?
  13. Looks good.
  14. The train remote provides 7 levels of power. Did you try turning the knobs until it gets to full power?
  15. Had that happened to me too. The connector from the motor was just a tiny bit off on the IR receiver. Lights on battery box and receiver were green.
  16. There are two outputs on the IR receiver. The second dial on the remote can be used to control the second output. You can use it for lights or another train on the same channel. I modified my 60052 with working ditch lights using the LEGO LEDs. They are controlled by the second dial. 60052 Cargo Train MOD by dr_spock_888, on Flickr
  17. The LEGO balls used for GBCs are 14mm in size. You can find 14mm Chinese beads on ebays for around 5 cents USD each. The left and center balls are from LEGO Friends sets. They're around 30 cents USD on Bricklink. The one on the right is a chinese made jewelry bead. Somewhere I had a thread comparing them.
  18. If the AAA battery box is not coming on, check that the positive tips on the batteries are touching with the metal contacts in the battery box. The way the AAA battery box is designed the positive contacts are inside a small plastic hole. Sometimes the opening is too small for larger battery tips to make contact with the metal terminals. If your battery tips are small enough to fit through the opening to the metail contacts, check that they touch and not resting just outside of the hole.
  19. The LED on the battery box should show a solid green when the battery box is turned on. If the batteries are weak, the LED would be dim. There is a LED on the receiver. It should show solid green when it is receiving power from the battery. The LED on the receiver will blink as it receives commands from the remote controller. Check that all the cable connectors are pressed down correctly.
  20. MOD is the term in standard wide use. You'll be hard pressed to get that modified. If you have acronym brain, then you can imagine in your mind MOD = My Own Deviation.
  21. No Technic this year, just Creator. There is another thread on the subject: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=103758 Get well soon.
