  1. I'm so hoping this becomes an annual set release (Fairground) related like the modulars. Paul
  2. 6610 Gas Pumps, or Shell Petrol Pump with attendant. I have a few memories of sets I got for Christmas/Birthdays, or from certain relations, but the memory is not so good.
  3. Hopefully we are not all getting our hopes up for a new Creator Expert train in January-March, only to be let down, to date, I don't think there has even been a whisper of a new train? Maybe I'm wrong. I really want a Mallard steam train,
  4. I spoke to one of the Bright Bricks guys and he said they had ordered 1000 from Lego directly using their special back door ordering system.
  5. I'm a collector 99% 1% moder/mocer
  6. That's great, looking forward to seeing it on the water
  7. Seen at the Great Western Brick Show, spot the green female minifig…….
  8. Some pictures from my visit on Saturday for those who did not manage to make it: The amazing Victorian London, my photography skills do not do it justice! Really impressed with the detail on this fighter jet Clever Got to Love those minions This guy's layout appeared to be Digitally controlled, it had sound effects and all sorts, really liked the way the trains pulled away slowly and accelerated 250,000+ bricks, 8 meters long, meter wide, meter high, just shows what can be done with an unlimited supply of bricks A small airport, actually I really liked the minifig scale of this one, something I'd love to build one day
  9. What is going on with this rerelease of the race truck? Set 42041 http://brickset.com/sets/42041-1/Race-Truck
  10. This is really top notch, it either never made front page for an unknown reason or I just missed it back in February, true incredible level of detail inside and out.
  11. I do love those brick pattern 1 x 2 bricks, I only wish they were readily available in pick a brick in store, I also like the sunked tracks, that's cool
  12. I'm still waiting for the replacement booklet to be sent out, but LEGO said they don't have any at the moment, I'm hoping that they are currently being reprinted, so holding out for a replacement.
  13. I know they are prelim pics, but I'm a little disappointed with the slightly <insert that tiresome argument> look of the vehicles, I'm sure it's the oversized wheels that are becoming more common now, which throws out the scale of the vehicles is to blame. What used to be a Lorry wheel, is now standard on a car, and plenty of the cars and trucks in next years line up almost appear to come with monster truck tyres. I mean the plough on the snow plough is 12 wide on a 6 wide vehicle, it just seems so out of scale. but it does look like the best set from the Great vehicles set for next year. From the demolition series, I like the portaloo vehicle, although the portaloo looks a little unfinished, it would look better with a new piece, 4x8 tile on the sides instead of a 4x8 plate. I also quite like the tipper truck and wheeled grab loader. Has potential to convert into a timber loader for the forest workers, or a scrap yard equipment. I'm not fussed by the swamp police, although I must say that the police don't feature too highly in the sets which is nice,
  14. For the last 5 or 6 years I've been buying all the city sets each year, but 2014 was the first year of change, for many of the above reasons, I stepped back and thought about the price rising, I have not purchased any Police sets this year, plus I'm bored with Police, and until LEGO see a reduction in sales, they will just keep going. But I often look at sets and think, yes that £70 set is only worth £49.99, how did they reach that price point, Especially when you see the Cost of Manufacturing if anything is going down, (maybe not the ABS raw materials) but the process of manufacturing and efficiencies of automation. What is annoying, is when you look at the Great Vehicles range, you see how relatively well built they are for a price point, then you compare a police vehicle at the same price point and you start to wonder. Paul
  15. Just one of each, but dam wish I'd bough a couple of extra of those first versions, CC, MS, GG
  16. Do multiple Police stations, year after year not count.
  17. I bought replacement rubber bands from this seller on ebay, they do the job and are the right colour, plus you get enough to replace every train in the 12v range :-) http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Lego-Train-Motor-Grey-Rubber-Rims-54x-4-5v-or-12v-12-volt-Trains-/141374112365?pt=UK_Construction_Toys_Kits&hash=item20ea8dc26d
  18. I use them to hold 4 pieces of track together when I don't have the track in a layout
  19. Last year I got my eyes on a retailers catalouge around 24th August, however my retailer has moved on, so that's no longer an option, so I think we saw the first pictures around early October,
  20. what is the beneift of the tractor lifting itself clean off the ground? I watched the video and saw the feature, but I don't get the purpose? It seems a bit over the top just so you can change a wheel? anyone know, just for my information :-)
  21. Well, that's one way to deal with Greenpeace!
  22. The only thing going for house burglaries is they usually want to be in and out as quick as possible, the thought of them having to load a vehicle with loads and loads of boxes, would probably be offputting to most, when our house was burgled 2 years ago, they walked straight past my LEGO, which probably would have netted them a nice earner, but they would have to put a lot of effort into selling it. They want the quick wins.
  23. At least we know how the UK City Polybags will be available this year, looks like some great little sets. Daily Mail Promo - 20th - 27th September Thanks to Brickfanatics http://brickfanatics...eturns-in-sept/ Especially useful for those trying to 100% compete their arctic collection, the mini scout plane is included.
  24. Wow, quick glance at the front page pic, and it just looks like a slightly extended length, BNCF. Only a more detailed study of the picture shows the awesome size of this beast!
