It's also a little odd that considering there is a servo for steering, it does not return to centre all the time, in most of the video, the loader was not in the straight position? Does this indicate a new remote control? or was the person demonstrating, just holding the servo in the full lock position?

Not to mention, if there are 16 corners, 4 corners make a 90 degree turn, so if there are only 16 corners as deplicted on the prelim box artwork , how would you achieve the proposed track layout on the bottom of the box. I don't think the 2 points would connect as shown in the picture without some additional curve track or flex track? And is that the wheelbarrow mold in Yellow? or Simpsons lime green? Looks yellow in the prelim, 2nd look and it's lime green :-)

Picked mine up yesterday. 1st floor done, loving the details and printed tiles.

Buying Parts from Lego
paul_delahaye replied to Lakop's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
100% correct! I have a distant memory of a lego shop in the Friary centre Guildford, back in the 80's but it might have just been a toy shop that stocked lots of lego, but I recall it having a yellow front and a lego sign. Who knows -
[WIP] Flying Brick
paul_delahaye replied to whale2's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I so want this to fly, but I'm sitting here and I can't but help picture in my mind those human powered flying machines where people launch them selves off a pier into the sea whilst trying to fly. I really have my fingers crossed for you. Roll on the first test flight. -
Buying Parts from Lego
paul_delahaye replied to Lakop's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I guess when you had one, not enough people purchased from it. -
There is a few new polybag sets which I don't recall being talked about on here over the past 36 pages of post which have now appeared over at Brickset, http://www.brickset.com/browse/years/?year=2014&Theme=City I'm liking this little Genie boom lift they are making, it's been something I've been thinking of for a while. Shame they did not make it in Blue. http://www.brickset.com/detail/?Set=30229-1 The Jet Ski set is also a nice poly bag, http://www.brickset.com/detail/?Set=30227-1 No mention yet of the airline promo item for 2014?

This is very clever, totally deserved it's place in the final 3,

Considering the cost of injection molds, there are a lot of new parts here, and only a few do them appear to add value, most can be achieved using a combination of other bricks.

Technic Cement Mixer
paul_delahaye replied to Rishab N's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
That is the best cement truck I've seen, love the panel constructed drum, very nicely done -
Just need some DHL stickers to go on the truck

I guess our only hope for another small loco is if Jamie puts his neck out and releases one under the creator expert line. But that might not be a bad thing.

Help with identifying parts/sets!
paul_delahaye replied to WhiteFang's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I always make sure those clone brands are bagged and sent straight to landfill. Harsh as it may seem I would not want to see those clone brands in anyone's hands. Kids don't deserve to have inferior product. I even received a couple of clone brand 1 x 6 plates from a brick link seller last year, I took it as a genuine mistake, but they ended up in the same place. -
Best way to manage 2 motors on a PF engine
paul_delahaye replied to elicend's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Forth way Both motors on the same output but with a pole reverser switch in between on one of the motors Often required if you are putting the two motors on a standard train base. By default they would try and run in opposite directions. I don't think I've explained this very well. Other option is to open one of the motors and resolder the cables to reverse the polarity of one of the motors so it runs in reverse -
It took me quite a while to locate a nice copy of this set. So many available on the market only had 3 of the small hazard stickers. Really annoying from a collector point of view Paul

In 1977 you really got that empty shoebox and the thought of this has haunted your Christmas's ever since!

I just happen to have taken a couple of pictures of this set as well when I bought it all those years ago, but never had the right topic to share them until now. At first I was so impressed with the box, it's a digger/backhoe, and a massive box, it's ticked all my boxes However there is no doubt there was a slight bit of disappointment at first when I opened the box, it felt like the set was a little over packaged………. Luckily it turned out to be a great set and I managed to acquire a second one in the Argos sale when it was discontinued :-) Still MISB awaiting a rainy day

Possible clear train window in 2014?
paul_delahaye replied to SpokaneSteve's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Does not seem that special to me, is it not the same one that was used in a Lego Train Set 7898 in 2006, ok not many of them around but not super new http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?S=7898-1
