Went to the Lego store at westfield, west London today with the intention of picking up at least one of the trains, after seeing it in my local Toy Shop, I'd preferred to give the money direct to Lego (and get some VIP points) but they did not have any out, I asked and was point blank was told 1st June is the launch date…….Just a little disappointing to see it in an independant toy store first especially when there is a good change they have the sets out back in their stock room! Never mind, another few pounds Lego have missed out on directly today

Anyone an idea on the release of the polybags for city in 2014? In the UK we had this Police Quad http://brickset.com/...28-1/Police-ATV with the recent Daily Mail promo, but nothing else, do you think it's likely some of the other polybag sets will be released in the summer as over the counter polybag collector sets Series 2, similar to last years Series 1 sets from WH Smiths including that ride on lawn mower?

paul_delahaye replied to touthomme's topic in LEGO Town
Very cool, so many other vehicles possibilities for lorry's as well, cars are a problem because of scale I guess -

Any idea what these two red door frames are on the cargo train set? At first I thought they were meant to be like pallet racking, but the pallets included in the set are 8 studs wide, and the 2 door frames are 10 studs apart? i don't recall seeing what they are used for in any of the pictures so far?

I don't usually apply the stickers, but very much like the race truck from a few years back, it almost looks bare and wrong without the stickers. -
If the town team are thinking of a build competition in the near future, I think there is real potential for working carnival rides which can be packed onto trucks to link in with the launch of the new Carnival set. Thoughts on this?

I must admit it would be cool if this becomes a sub-theme within the creator expert line, I really like the idea of more trucks in the carnival/funfair theme, all in the same colour scheme, as you say there is so many side stands which can be added, hook a duck, not to mention the options for a ferris wheel, bumper cars/dodgems, waltzer/tea cups. I like it

I have all my boxes, there are lots of them, but I've had to resort to flattening all the ones that can be flattened, and any that can't I put as many other boxes inside the ones that cannot be flattened as I can, there is still probably 6 cubic meters of boxes in the loft, which is a storage nightmare. Especially when I think I never plan to see them :-) In my eyes, it values my collection better

I like to tip all the bags together, nothing better than a 3000+ piece technic set with all the bricks mixed up, really makes the build more enjoyable for me and takes longer so I get more enjoyment from that.

Hi cmartin911, Thanks a really nice job you've done there, I've been thinking of doing the same, on your labels, where did you get the little drawings of the different bricks from? or have you hand drawn them using a graphics package? Alternatively, don't suppose you would like to share the label file so others could use it? Paul

MOCs, how much do they end up costing?
paul_delahaye replied to psdillon's topic in General LEGO Discussion
With this hobby it's best not to think about the cost. -
Wow, now I've just read the expected price, I never saw it being more than £99.99 in the UK…. ouch, £120 you'd expect a motor and battery box.

That station looks like sticker central to me!

What is The Best 9v Train to Start With?
paul_delahaye replied to Wolfcraft's topic in LEGO Train Tech
I personally was a big fan of the 1994, 9V train 4564. I think it added lots of playability, lots of moving parts, things to load and unload, but probably one of the more less seen Lego 9v train sets as it was after the 1991/2 hayday of 9v. -
Another great Jamie set, can't wait, think I read somewhere VIP availability mid May?

I'm hoping when we see the price drop a little and availability in the USA improve on this monster we will see some more double sized Cusom versions -
I have a full set, but I wish I had more dust free space to display them, they look awsome when you see pictures of them all together!

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
paul_delahaye replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
Speculation on 2014 set number 10244, Carnival Set, which will fit in with modular buildings......sounds like it will be a nice town addition. Includes a juggler -
Difference between US boxes and European boxes.
paul_delahaye replied to jonty14's topic in General LEGO Discussion
There is also another difference I noted, I bought set 60059 Lego City Logging Truck in December in the Rockafella Lego store in New York, I notice that the box design has the 2 overlapping flaps sealed with a clear piece of tape, however the UK lego store version which I looked at last month had the more traditional European box sealing where you have to puncture the perforated bit with your thumb before tearing open the end of the box. Personally I preffer the USA style of boxes, these are much easier to store flat packed after you have opened the set.
