Yeah, I've seen that name on other topic recently and find the it fitting quite well despite sounding a bit silly. -
42081 - Volvo Autonomous Loader
zux replied to dimaks13's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Looking at part lists for 42081 and 42082 there are no new parts. However there are recolours, like "banana gear" in Black. -
Looks awesome and performance is great! Video shows model getting stuck on sand with just one wheel spinning. Is your transmission with all open diffs? Are those fancy disks/rims 3D printed?

That is a very cool version of Koenigsegg. I like the blue accents, especially the rubber bands.

Since TLG included Ford rally car it would have been great to have more of these. Any of old Group B (Audi, Peugeot, Lancia, etc.) cars would be a hit.

[MOC] Liebherr LTM11200 crane
zux replied to Jeroen Ottens's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Wow, that's a massive. Will it be sturdy enough to lift stuff? Oh Noes! 3*11 or 5*11? Which colour? -
Here's the picture how I've managed to get 0.25 stud offset I've mentioned earlier: While I've used shortest Technic beams/liftarms (which I had a lot), similar effect can be achieved using modified plate. Although height will be different, so few parts on top should be changed.

I can confirm everything works (including XVI32) on Ubuntu based Linux machine with Wine installed. All BA and Modulex colours are now at the very end of the list. Thanks for a quick and easy workaround!

That's cool. I'm currently building slightly larger version of this model, which is my first train ever! Might not be the wisest decision. Top is done, stuck with bogies.

Usually you cannot get more than there are in a set. So 5 at most.

Amazing model! While I don't really like smallest LEGO models (simply because they lack features) I like your MOC a lot. It is jam-packed with functions. Feels like every piece used here has its functional purpose. Exactly. And LEGO is releasing its new 42082 with same functionality consisting of 10x the number of parts.

[MOC] Ferrari Testarossa
zux replied to Jeroen Ottens's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Saw this on Flickr earlier. Absolutely awesome model. Any minute you've spent on those doors is well spent - they look wonderful. Made me think for a little trying to understand how intake pattern was made. Any chance of an underside picture? -

Quite impressive number of features and add-ons! Could you share more details on "PF laser"? Is this just a laser with PF power connector attached to it? -
Impressive! Surprised to see this as a alternate rather than standalone MOC. Your model seem to be quite big and heavy, so I wouldn't recommend keeping it on wheels for extended period of time. Axles in you torsion bar suspension would eventually deform a little under the weight. While suspension works great the effect of deformation gets noticeable even in a smaller and lighter MOCs (did that myself some time ago).

Mine seem to have LEGO logo inside. © symbol looks like using LEGO font. Recently have been dealing with some used slopes I got from BL, which could be from various years. What I found that some of these didn't have LEGO logo inside while other's did, despite all of them having logo on a stud. This still might be a legit piece.

That's a cool way of saying NO To be honest I read all of it and, while I didn't really understand the whole stuff, it was interesting to read. I was hoping there is a way of throwing bricks into some chemicals and get some results based on reaction. Oh well, hopefully we'll find some students interested in brick chemistry. Speaking of students, there was one, long time ago, who studied Technic bricks strength for some his work in University and later shared the results. So there is a chance, we just need to find one interested both in chemistry and LEGO!

I'm surprised to see this topic has never seen a reply from me for 27 pages I've been following it. Must be not the only one! Just want to say I'm happy to see this topic progressing from one build to another. By the way, you have quite nice LEGO collection -
LEGO Technic rainbow models
zux replied to kraai's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
At first I thought there is one nice model. Didn't expect to see scrolling down! For some reason these look awesome. I appreciate time it took to source and build all the models. One "complaint" though, 42037 has all wheels/rims identical colour! How could you!?
