  1. Well, it is up to seller to check if the contents are correct. If not - just let seller know and he will find a way to resolve the issue. Had similar case with one of my first purchases over Bricklink and seller shipped missing pieces quickly. Just keep in mind most of the sellers are somehow related to LEGO hobby so they will be able to sort this kind of issues effectively (I've heard stories where seller didn't ship something and had bought missing items from another seller to get missing item shipped to original buyer). Simply reading descriptions and status of the item you are looking to purchase is the best way to understand what you are buying. Sometimes seller can even provide pictures for more expensive items if you ask. Just make sure not o buy expensive items (or for a price that looks to be too good to be true) from seller with very small feedback.
  2. Assembled parts might be just floating without being interconnected. Wedged plates could be connected with one of those bricks with studs on two corners. Round bricks are not attached to anything. Btw. there's another guide by the same builder. You can check if any other his idea is close to yours.
  3. That's the main concern. This sounds like they have an issue with storage. However same announcement mentions the ability to store 5K photos for PRO's, which makes uploaded files much larger in storage space... So it doesn't make sense at all. Disabling the option to upload more photos until you get the number of files reduced to 1K would make more sense. Their karma isn't going to look great if this condition won't be altered.
  4. The worst thing is this piece: I really hope Flickr will give a chance saving pictures as archive for non-paying users. Previously, non-PRO accounts could only do it by downloading each and every photo manually.
  5. Wow, that's a heck of a model built in such a short period of time with these amount of features. Well done!

Very impressive builds in terms of size and details. I have a question about Union Pacific ALCO C855. You've mentioned it can handle LEGO curved tracks. Looking at your bogies it makes me think you have 4 turning/attachment points between bogies and the body. Taking this into consideration and the length of the body I think there could be a problem going over the curves due to body overhang. Have you test-built the prototype with real bricks?
  7. I did similar thing with one of my modular's roof seen here (the smaller bit). With the second option you can do another trick - if you have your plates extended one stud over the window, you can add extra plate below plates/tiles of the roof to hide holes resulted of odd shaping.
  8. You need to blow with compressed air if you really want to get rid of dust in means of air. But then it would bring an issue of blowing away parts/bricks. I'm not THAT picky to use so I use simple 20mm wide paint brush. These come with different properties, so you can easily find softer one.
  9. I meant something like this: You might want to use slopes, curved slopes, jumper plates instead of plates. Or you can have sides built with such sloped approach and top built separately.
  10. Ebay isn't the best place to look for old sets, as they are quite expensive there (understandable). You might want to check Bricklink instead. It has a huge catalog of sets as well as parts and people around the globe trading this stuff. I may suggest looking for used sets. These usually are in good condition.
  11. It is possible to create a slope with plates placing them gradually on increasing distance from centre. Also having a brick-built window could be helpful since the studs on top of existing window frame aren't going to help you with compact solution.
  12. Did you have any problems with those 3D-printed parts used for locking front wheels? They seem to have quite a load.
  13. Was 42030 an inspiration here? Without looking at 42030 I'd say you Wheel Loader look very close to Volvo loader. Comparing both reveals that they are similar but indeed different.
  14. Great MOC. I like all the details you've included in this model. And the fact there are lots of them. In the video I've noticed the clicking sound coming when the model is driven. Where does it come from? Speaking of awning - how does it operate? As I see it is expanded by liftarms and retracted by rolling out the awning. But my understanding these two features have to be synchronised somehow? Or I must be missing something.
  15. Ah, blind me! Didn't spot these after part I've quoted.
  16. TLG would will use existing piece, most likely.
  17. @Basiliscus In order to post resized pictures from Flickr you need to use an option available within Flickr itself: Share Photo > BBCode tab > select desired picture resolution from drop down list. This will get you unique URL that you can use to post here. Pasting it directly into text editor may not produce the picture preview, but it will work once post submitted.
  18. @anothergol it seem like you assume instruction maker would be some sort of AI or magic, which could understand your model and produce correct steps for building it. This might work for bottom-to-top brick-built MOCs, but not for the rest. Stud.io is based on LDraw (and I understand it uses similar logic) where steps must recorded as if you would build it in real life. And this must be done by yourself. If you built your entire model in single step - well, that's a lot of bricks you need to place in one step...
  19. I looked through the latest catalog (available in Lithuania) with my eyes of a child from early 90's. Note: I'm aware catalog doesn't show complete offering like Modulars or Ideas sets, but it is/was the source of inspiration for kids. Oh an boy it is boring! Despite catalog growing in number of pages for last couple of years (it has now whooping 128 pages) it barely caught my eye. I never liked these out-of-the-world themes much (such like Space), so overuse of these looks to like there are just a few options left - City, Speed Champions, some Creator stuff an Technic. There's just not much I would be dreaming of (except for Technic Bugatti) so I would be sleeping well. Some non-core themes taking too much space. Super heroes take up 8 pages - am I interested in any of that stuff? No. Same with Star Wars - I'm yet to see half of the movies. It seem like any space related theme other than SW would be much more interesting now. At least for me.
  20. @I_Igor Yeah, but not only Technic as there are lots of other parts in odd colours. Check this guy on Flickr. Headlight brick aka "Erling brick" put sideways for example. There are many ways (and parts) to build different types of offset with bricks. It mainly depends how restricted is your depth.
  21. Great News! How does this work? Do I still need new PU controller for some device pairing magic?
  22. Sorry, the model I've mentioned above has been built by @Zerobricks . Credits should go to him.
  23. Since it is in Red, the colour which usually used for prototypes or production testing, this is most likely to be produced by TLG.
  24. That's strange. I had built Fox 8x8x8 long time ago, which has x8 XL motors driving each wheel through UV joint. And I didn't have any of the broken UV joints despite having much wider tires with more grip than 3rd party ones have. Used and abused it a lot with no broken parts.
