  1. Ah, my bad. Misread "2 x 11" as cylinder dimensions.
  2. Catalogue shows the set comes with the following pneumatic items: 1x small pump 1x small cylinder 1x big thick cylinder 2x valves (of new type)
  3. Sadly, at this moment I don't see any advantages of new system over old one.
  4. Well, it is debatable. I'd rather have stickers, than printed previously never released parts (read "cannot be reused"). But some parts should have been printed indeed.
  5. Actually, I find it quite useful. My brain doesn't translate up&down controls to left&right with existing PF controllers. Unless you upgrade them with wheeled control. I'm concerned more about the size. Revealed controller seem to be tiny, not really comfortable to use by AFOL's hands. Another issues, is that "+" "-" are kind of flat - there's no raised edges. This could result in worse touch feedback.
  6. Brake discs are standalone pieces. Yes, these are shown to be part of wheels/rim on boxed picture, but then middle of assembly shows they are not attached to them.
  7. I mean obligation. If I get to buy a set (not steal, get for review or any other ways) in a physical store with my money I'm not obligated to follow TLG rules or requests. It is hardly considered as a leak at this point. So I'm struggling to understand all the buzz about it. Kudos to TLG, which was very good at hiding the set this year. But if they really don't want late leaks I see a simple solution - sale date must be 15-30 days post announcement. By the time it gets available all details will be officially released. Big Brother? No thanks.
  8. That's for shop employees. You don't get these when you buy a set.
  9. If set has been bought in store (official or not) it is legal to do whatever you want to do with it, so I cannot see why we are getting all mad about banning these pictures now.
  10. Of course it "bends", since picture is taken from a close distance of a non flat catalog.
  11. @Ludo Visser Chiron will have new orange transmission pieces mentioned here.
  12. Have you tried using desktop or laptop for the job? Mobile devices still have a strange experience with various websites.
  13. Pictures and a little more description rather than just motors used would be appreciated.
  14. Yeah, that new piece looks to be useful. But blue gears! What??
  15. I'd say it doesn't really matter if you chose melamine or plywood, whichever works for you best. However I would suggest painting it white, rather than black. This way it would be much-much easier to see all the parts you have on a table and find one when you need it.
  16. I have to agree with Omikron here. Aventador (yet another generic super car) would kill the charm of 8880, which has a properly functioning suspension, unlike other having 0-1 stud travel. Let's be honest - forget about studless remakes (especially 8880). If TLG would ever decide to make these there would be so many people complaining about different aspects missing in these models, which people assumed to be essential to keep, it is not even worth this. It is fine when someone build his own remake as long it is not an official set. Otherwise everybody begin setting their own bar. I know, old stud-full sets are nostalgic, and you want to relive same experience again. You won't get this with studless sets, because... well.. these won't be built from Technic bricks anymore. And don't forget about different aspects might get missing during remake, I mentioned above. It will be totally different.
  17. It is hard to tell if it is actual a game-changer until we see the other side of this part. At the moment is looks to be a pure aesthetical part.
  18. Yes, Earth Blue [TLG], Dark Blue [BL]
  19. Yeah, I get mini dark ages from time to time too. During this time I'm normally switching to something else (non-LEGO stuff) I love doing also. For example, I've been away from EB forums for more than a year. I had more interest in building my own Modulars than Technic, so there just was no need in reading the forums. Got my news from Brickset and inspiration from other sources. However Technic thingy is now growing back on me, so here I am here posting this now.
  20. There's no such as "dark sand blue" it LEGO colour palette.
  21. @RyanMe These are for graphical representation of "Unread" for brick and "Unread- replied", "Read - replied" with plates. Saturated pictures are for "unread". Technic subforum has the same, but with different gears.
  22. So next thing to upgrade - axles? As I think axles may twist since these are the next weakest link to be destroyed by might torque.
